T400 problem, cannot use thinkvantage
I just received the new T400, the first time I opened it, I did as the instruction told, then I chose "shrink volume" of the biggest volume (not the hidden one or the lenovo volume), and formatted the new volume. Then I got bluescreen.
I did use the thinkvantage to restore the system, it went well but I found that the new volume I got last time was still there. Moreover, a lot of the softwares cannot be used, and a lot of functions seem to be blocked or disabled, for example, I cannot get on the wireless network, but before I shrinked the volume, I can.
Now I want to try the thinkvantage again, but I cannot get in anymore!!! What am I supposed to do now!?
Everytime I start the computer, it pops up 2 windows, saying:
"Error loading C:\PROGRA~1\ThinkPad\UTILT~1\PWMTR32V.DLL The specific module could not be found"
"Error loading C:\PROGRA~1\ThinkPad\UTILT~1\BTVLogEx.DLL The specific module could not be found"

CreateSQL does not execute the sql statement, it just creates an SQL object, which you have to execute.
Something like this:

Recently, the Yahoo Toolbar and the Babylon extension have been reported to cause that problem. They seem to overlap invisibly over the top of the web page display. If you have either or both, uninstall or disable them/it, or see if an update is available that solves the problem.

I get the input from an input box and it is correct

I try to use it in a sql statement lke this and nothing displays even though it its entered correctly and the value exists in the table

Go to Applications-->Utilities-->Disk Utility, Open it and Select the MAC HD and then click on Repair permissions.
After that try to run the cleaner tool as mentioned by kglad.
Restart machine and then try to install again.
*** Make sure , you only delete these folders if there is no other adobe applications installed on the machine. As if you have any other Adobe application of the suite ( not free applications ) then it will be a problem. -

I can't click on the 'Learn More' or 'Ok' options so cannot use Aperture. How do I overcome this problem?
I use OS X Lion 10.7.4.
I also don't seem to be able to disable the Mobileme account via the system preferences option as mobileme doesn't allow access with my password.Have you tried to disconnect from the Internet before launching Aperture? Then the MobileMe webpage should not be shown and you should be able to access the Aperture preferences and remove the MobileMe account from the "Preferences > Web" panel.
If this does not succeed, (Force) quit Aperture, log off and log on again, then remove the Aperture Preferences file (~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Aperture.plist)
from the Preferences Folder in your User Library and try again to launch Aperture. See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3805 on how to remove the Preferences.

This sounds like one of those "oddities", contributed to by a few sources.
I can clear the Safari cache files as a temporary solution, but I encounter the same difficulties with the “problematic” files once they have been opened again.
Wondering if you disabled the Safari Cache would the refresh function work correctly? As a test you can disable the Safari Cache by Emptying the Cache first via the Safari menu, then Quit Safari. Now go to the Finder>Your User Library>Caches>Safari. Single click on the Safari folder, then Apple Key + I to open Info panel. There, check the "locked" box. This prevents further additions to the cache. The downside, you lose your ability to upload images etc. within Safari (my cache is disabled, so I use Firefox for the uploads).
Then restart Safari. Try the PDF from within Safari.

If you find that it is set to the correct region, log out of your iTunes Store account, restart your iPhone, and sign into your account again.

Thank you! My solution was different. I had turned off services in MSCONFIG and did not turn them back on. After I turned services back on, Acrobat started working again without the nag error and impedance to use the program. I appreciate your input! Adobe customer service/tech support was dismally disappointing.

I just updated Safari with version 5.1.10 and now I cannot use "open location". Anyone else having this problem and are there any solutions?

Try troubleshooting extensions and third party plugins.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.
Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect: Allow all other plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

When writing an e-mail directly on the Orange e-mail service (not on Thunderbird) I am facing the following problem : some distribution lists cannot be used to complete the adressees. The same lists can be used without difficulty if I use Internet Explorer instead of Firefox. The Orange hotline told me that probably my Firefox version was not updated. Unfortunately I checked that, and apparently the automatic updating works. I have also updated the plug ins, without any result.
Please could you specify which webpage you mean ?
The process with Orange is the following :
- 1. click on "Write an e-mail" on the mail webpage
- 2. click on "To" to reach the Contacts which opens a new window
- 3. click on "Distribution lists"
- 4. click on the selected list then click on "add". The list appears ot the box corresponding to the addresses .
UNTIL THEN EVERYTHING WORKS WELL
- 5. click on the button "validate", which closes the window previously opened and normally
- 6. reloads the initial page with the complete list on the line "To". Instead of that I get the last e-mail address I previously used .
Question : at which step of this process should I try your suggestions ? I tried when the initial page was reloaded with the wrong address, but it did not work to get back the rignt distribution list;
Note that the whole process functions with OTHER Distribution lists. The only difference is that the problematic one has a larger number of adresses (62) however inferior to the maximum indicated by Orange (100).
I also remind that there is no problem when using Internet Explorer instead of Firefox.
