T410 problem about graphics card

my machine:i5-540M(2.53GHz), 4GB RAM, 320GB 7200rpm HD, 14.1in 1440x900 LCD, 256MB nVIDIA Quadro NVS 3100M.
problem: graphics card is very hot. I detect the temperature, It is 55°C(131℉) when start OS and soon go up to more than 100°C(212℉) even though I dont use too much GPU. and somethimes, it shutdown unexpectedly.
I use windows7 64bit,  bios is 1.15-1.06 version and the graphics card driver is NVIDIA display driver 8.16.11.8898 version.
Does anyone know this problem? I want to know it is a driver problem or a hardware problem.
Thanks for help me.

Nvidia video chips run very hot, the only thing I can recommend is using tpfancontrol and setting the fan higher.

hello like to know about graphics card AMD RADEON R7 250A if it is compatible with Infrastructure software suites Deign Suite Premium 2013 Creative Suite 6 Design Premium, Master Collection CS6

    Hi @Fodi
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
Ok, I understand  that you are trying to install drivers for your graphics adapter and the one built in to your cpu.
In reality you do not need to install the separate drivers. It is covered by the main driver for your graphics adapter when there is both an integrated and discrete gpu.
As to the Error 43 -  please see this page: Expand Code 43: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems
Since you have tried several times you may need to remove both drivers and restart the system and let the os find the built-in graphics, before installing the driver for the AMD device.
All the various drivers for this notebook that have been HP customized can be found here:

  • Problems with graphics card with CS5

I am working a freelace gig using a G5 computer with Lion.
When using CS5 photoshop there seems to be a problem using
Mode/Index/Custom when using the eyedropper to select colors.
I use the work around "key command" which is totally anoying.
There is also a bug with the color picker/eydropper within the documents.
I read that this has to do with the graphics card.
Which graphics card do I need to resolve this issue?

There are known issues/limitations with graphics cards in earlier machines.

Thank you for replying. I had no idea I had a response. It is a Windows 7 Home Premium. The game is actually now a few different ones for my child, Baby Luv, Brave & Disney Princesses. None of them will work. I have an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 graphics card in this (Compaq Presario All-In-One Desktop PC) and I just posted another question in the forum about wanting to know if I can replace the grahics card with a HD card and if so how? I have looked online but can't find an answer. Is it possible to replace the card or with it being an all-in-one is it not possible? Thank you.

  • G62-b45em problem with graphic card

First of all, my english is not so good, sorry about that.
    I'm using Windows 8.
I have a problem with my graphic card, it just wont start. I mean the ATI Radeon, you can see here witch exactly.
I downloaded the driver from this page, but I think it wont match.
Here is also a screenshot with the error that i found in Device Manager. If you need more information that i can provide to you just tell me.
    This question was solved.

Hello Nocar.  I understand you're having some trouble getting your video driver to work properly in Windows 8.
This error means that the device cannot start due to not having the proper driver.  I searched and there does not seem to be an official driver for this hardware.  However, a lot of users have reported success with installing the Windows 7 drivers in compatibility mode.  You should take a look at this thread which a colleague of mine posted.  It covers a possible fix for getting switchable graphics to work in Windows 8.
I hope the thread is helpful.  Let me know the result.
    Have a great afternoon!

  • Sattelite 1410-question about Graphic Card

I've bought a Sattelite 1410-401 and i'm having quite some troubles with my graphic card, with moving images i can see black spots flickering through the image (no problems with stills however) ( i have downloaded the latest Nvidia drivers) wich is pretty annoying.
I'm also annoyed by the fact this graphic card doesn't support Pixel shader and that it only has 16MB RAM (not shared) my question(s) is(/are): Is there a way to get rid of those pesky black pixels and is there a way to replace or upgrade my video card?

    Hello
I dont think that the black spots are a fault of a graphic card.
You say that you use the nVidia graphic driver. This is not correct. You should use the original Toshiba graphic driver or this unit. This you can find on the Toshiba website. Sometimes for watching some avi or mpeg files your need a different codex. You can find many informtions about this theme.
Furthermore you can change primary parts (memory, hdd) on you unit but its impossible to replace the graphic card.
    Bye

  • Satellite A660-1HL - problems with graphics card

    Hello!
This is my first thread so I apologize if I do something wrong and for my bad English. :)
Just bought a Toshiba Satellite A660-1hl with two graphics cards, one integrated and a GeForce GT 330M. The integrated works fine but when I switch to the dedicated I encounter problems. The resolution can not be set in optimum mode and windows in the operatingsystem (windows 7) lags when moving around. I can not get any info about the card in all sorts of temperature programs or dxdiag and the such like.
I tried to install drivers from nvidia, Toshiba and windows update without any improvement. I can not run Windows expreince index because I get an error message or any average games do to I encounter error messages there as well. I'm starting to doubt that the drivers even installed.
I hope you guys can help me out :)
this is the error messages i get:

    http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images...krmklipp3.jpg/
    http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/9/skrmklipp4.jpg/

You should test the RAM (Memory) for problems using the Microsoft Memory Test or www.memtest.org (bootable CD).
To confirm it's a hardware problem, you should backup your documents and run Recovery.
If the problem still happen on a fresh image, then the notebook should go to an ASP (Toshiba Service Center) for repairs (possibly a Mainboard replacement).

  • Problems with graphics card with Windows 8 bootcamp on new imac

I just purchased a new 2013 imac (27inch, with the nvidia geforce gtx 680mx 2gb).
I partitioned the drive using bootcamp and successfully installed windows 8 pro 64bit as well as the support softward from Apple for the drivers.
My problem is that the display in windows says it is being run by a Microsoft basic display adapter and only using 256mb of memory and doesn't seem to be an Nvidia card at all, let alone the 2gb of video memory I am supposed to have.
I have tried downloading drivers directly from Nvidia, but when I run them it says I don't have compatible hardware.
I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this issue.
    Please help.

After I read other discussions on the same topic, I found out that the problem is that when you install the drivers via the Bootcamp "windows support software" USB key, for some reason the NVIDIA drivers are not installed, although they are present in the Bootcamp folder.
How I solved the issue: Starting from the Peripherals Manager window (the one that shows all what is inside your machine), I opened the Graphic card "folder" and double-clicked on the "VGA standard card" line.
Then I clicked on a "install driver" button, browse through files, and selected the NVIDIA folder within the Bootcamp folder on the USB key.
It took some time but after that it had fully recognized the GTX 680 MX card.
I rebooted and the system itself set up to the 2560 x 1440 resolution.

  • Start Up & Sleep Problem, considering graphics card upgrade, Leopard?

    Hi All,
I've searched at length for this problem, and as a user rather than a tech have suspicions, rather than certainty.
Have been suffering with my Mac Pro going intermittently to shutdown rather than sleep for a while, I've been living with that. But a new problem has appeared just in the last day or so, I don't necessarily think they are connected, but what do I know?
The new problem is it seems for want of a better term my Pro stalls on start up, it took an hour before it started this morning, its really quite peculiar.
I hit the start button, initial whirring, then stop, the machine appears to be off, but after 10-20secs, it starts again, then immediately stops, and repeat, and repeat. Strangely though, eventually it starts to get further into boot up each time, maybe it gets to the apple logo, and shutdowns, and repeats, and repeats, then OS X loading screen, shutdown, wait 10secs restarts on its own, eventually it gets to the deskstop and shuts down, before running eventually. It started doing this yesterday, thought it might be because I've moved it a couple of times, connecting an ethernet cable, (awkward having the socket on the back!). So I checked everything firmly seated inside, and very carefully hoovered out the dust (although that wasn't bad).
Reset SMC, reset energy saver settings, ran the tech tool for the Apple Care disk, removed all my crucial.com extra ram, and inserted Apple's original heat sunked RAM, no change.
Anyway its running now and as you can imagine if this going to get worse or a hardware component is on its last legs I'm busy burning dvds of important files, its used mainly for video editing, but I reckon 15 dvds ought to get the important business backed up! As I'm going to book it into Apple as its under an Apple Care policy.
This has got me thinking, is it time to get some upgrades at the same time. No matter how much RAM I have installed, and it doesn't appear to use even half of whats onboard, I've struggled with Motion very slow, often crashing, especially when using HD or Pro Res HD video, so much so that I've stuck to Livetype, which is a shame as its limited, and limiting. I notice Livetype has been dropped FCS. If its not the RAM, is it the graphics card? I was thinking of upgrading Ati HD 3870, or better, but I'm unclear if these are only compatible with Leopard 10.5.x, hence considering upgrading to Leopard. And thought I'd get Apple to do the work at the same time.
As to the start up problem, if it were a vehicle I'd be thinking it was damp electrics, and be spraying WD40 to dry it out, I'm not of course, but I'm thinking power supply, or a temperature issue, but as its working when running 4 hours and working nicely now (so long as I don't leave to 'sleep') I can't see it being an overheating issue.
Anyway sorry to go on but thoughts/advice please?
Its business critical machine, as a videographer although I bought this MacBook Pro, from which I'm typing, for just this scenario which I'll use at a pinch.

You may want to just get one utility for now.
At this point, do you need a new graphic card? then you need to upgrade to Leopard. If your software and system won't be a problem regardless of compatibility great, but make sure. Otherwise, Snow Leopard will likely require lots more upgrades and updates.
But maybe doing an upgrade to Leopard and then test the waters with Leopard and Snow L. makes better sense.
Only the "Early, Early" 2006-7 1st Gen Mac Pros can run 10.4.11 (or at least install and officially supported).
The product pages have misleading information but you do need 10.5.7 for the 4870 which is your best graphics upgrade choice. The 3870 came out a year ago and requires 10.5.3+.

  • Question about  Graphics Cards for Adobe and more

Hello, for technical people I'll start by listing some relevant computer info:    Asus P9x79Pro Motherboard . Nvidia Quadro 4000 2GB . Windows 7 . Adobe CS6
I have a workstation PC and have been considering ways to improve it. I'm pretty happy with both Memory and Processor, so now I'm looking at the Graphics Card. I got the Quadro specifically because it was listed on Premiere's list of Mercury Accelerated Playback cards. I have no real issues with it, but I'm wondering if I'm getting everything I can out of it. I also use Resolve often and occasionally Maya, but not often. Sometimes these other programs feel sluggish. I'd like a set up that is most optimal for Adobe PPro and AE, but is also good for Resolve. I'm less worries about Maya.
My motherboard can support 4 GPU's, but I've never had more than 1 before. I'm curious how to go about it.  What sort of advantages will I get with a second GPU, how will this help me? Since I have a Quadro, should I get another Quadro? Should I run them SLI or run them independently? I've also been looking at the GTX Series, would those be preferable? If so, how should I set up my system, run monitors off 1 and use the other as a GPU boost? I really don't know enough about multi-GPU set ups, and I can't seem to find the answers I'm looking for, so any and all help is appreciated.
    Thank you

  • Need info about graphics card supported with pre pro cs5

    Hi,
I checked one information about supported graphics card  about pre pro cs5 on aodbe.com,
    http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/search_result.html?manuSearchVar=1&modelSearchVar=0 &supportSearchVar=0&brand=&dataFormat=&version=CS5&device=graphic&format=&buttonSubmit=
Under SUPPORT column it is mentioned for ATI and NVIDIA "Legacy support" and "Full support".
What is the difference in "Legacy support" and "Full support"?
I am not able to understand
    Vinay

Premiere will use just about any graphics card to write to the screen so you may see what you are doing
For hardware MPE you must use a specific nVidia card... or a non-supported nVidia card with a small hack
For a list of supported nVidia CUDA cards go to the FAQ
