T410, T420 driver pack for MDT deployment

Is there a page where I can get the MDT driver pack for the T410 and T420 models?  The current page (http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?LegacyDocID=SCCM-INDEX) Does not have drivers for the anything older than a T430.
Solved!

Hi BDS_Vince, welcome to the forums,
Lenovo's first SCCM packs were first released for the T430 and other Think systems current at that time, please see following linked to thread;
http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Enterprise-Management-IT/Introducing-ThinkPad-Driver-Packs-for-SCCM/m-p/...
As suggested on page 2 of that thread you could maybe use Update Retriever as an alternative method to manage drivers for older systems.

  • HP Client WinPE Driver Packs and MDT 2013

Just today I noticed that HP had a couple of WinPE driver Packs for download on their site for WinPE 3.0 and 4.0. I'm using MDT 2013 to deploy Win 7 x64 for now, perhaps Win 8.1 out in the future. What version of WinPE does MDT make for Boot Images? Which
driver pack would be best for MDT 2013 and Win 7 deployment? WinPE 3.0?

  • Driver Packs for XP - T430

    Afternoon All,
Just taken delivery of a T430 eval unit which I am using to build an image via SCCM OSD.
Question - to save me hours of work do Lenovo produce XP driver packs for this model? Unable to find them using a search or browsing.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Lenovo does not provide driver packs for XP.
You can save yourself a lot of time and effort by using Update Retriever however.  With UR you can give it the machine type of your T430 (the first four numbers of the product number) and it will find the available drivers without you having to search through our web site.  Then you can select just the hardware drivers to download.  Once downloaded you can export the hardware driver to a speciifed folder that your SCCM console has access to.  Then you can use the Driver Import wizard to import the drivers.

  • T410 NIC Driver not recognized - Microsoft Deployment

I've found just about every version of the 82577LM NIC driver I could find, to use with our Microsoft Deployment 2010 share.  We're doing a Litetouch deployment and injected just about every T410 NIC driver I could find, plus the Intel chipset driver into our boot image.  Same issue every time.  It doesn't recognize the NIC card, according to error logs.
Windows XP seems to recognize the driver with no problem.  It's the WinPE that's embedded in the Lite Touch deployment which doesn't recognize.  We've not had a problem from the T60 on up to the T400s, everything worked out of the box.
    Anyone else having this problem?

    Hi,
I just solved this out by adding Dell's Winpe driver package to MDT Out-Of-Box drivers. It will probably solve your T410 as well since we have the same model in our company and it works nice!

  • SCCM Driver Pack for ThinkPad E550

    >>> Moved to the proper forum

Hello, We're getting ready to deploy a cart of 30 ThinkPad E550 laptops.  Does anyone know if there's an SCCM driver pack available for the E550? No sign of it on Lenovo's SCCM package index here:http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/ht074984 If anyone knows where it's hiding, it would be a big help to us. Thanks!-HJ

  • Authentification when I want to download the driver pack for Equium L40

I already registered my laptop for the warranty, and i have a user name and password, but it seems that i need to register at that specific site from which I'm trying to download and that is a different page on which I didn't found any registration button. The driver pack I'm talking about it's for an Equium L40 10Z laptop. Any ideas ?

No panic dude... it looks like a driver server issue.
I have read in this forum that some routine maintenance must be done.
I would recommend checking the driver page in next few days.

As what Cat say, install that driver and if you need to configure those sound card setting then search this filename - ctpanel.exe from within your computer

  • E73 Win7 Driver Pack

Is there or will there be a driver pack for E73 Thinkstations ? Thanks

Hi, The E73 should have no problems running W7, however if you do need additional drivers, you can download them at www.lenovo.com/support Below the link that will bring you directly to the E73 support page. Select your Windows version and all the drivers you need will be shown. http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/desktops-and-all-in-ones/thinkcentre-e-series-desktops/thinkcentre-e73 Hope this helps.

  • Perhaps a missing driver from SCCM pack for x230 (2325)

We used the Lenovo tool to import W7 x64 drivers for the 2325 model into MDT.
When connecting a test laptop after deployment to a large external monitor (by VGA), nothing would display on the external monitor and Fn F7 only resulted in a black screen.
It was resolved by getting the latest video driver from the 2325 support page (g1d625ww.exe)
At this point, I'll try to find a way to get that driver into MDT individually, but long term, it might be missing from the SCCM pack? (which we had gotten from here http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?&DocID=DS034785)
If there's any other detail I can provide, just ask!
(I'm new to this, so what I'm suggesting could be entirely wrong)

I believe you may have used the wrong SCCM Driver pack.  The link you provided list the pack for the X230s and the machine type you have is an X230.  The X230 driver pack is here:  http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?&DocID=DS030230
It contains the prior version of the driver you mentioned - g1d622ww instead of g1d625ww.  The X230s uses a different driver - g1d652ww.  Perhaps that would account for the issue you encountered.
If you would like to manage interim driver releases with MDT (since the SCCM Driver Packs are only refreshed when we refresh our manufacturing preload images) it might be easier to use Update Retriever.  It will let you find drivers by specifying the machine type and OS you are using.  You can select and download drivers to a local repository.  Then you can select drivers to Export to a folder.  You can then use the driver import wizard of MDT to import the driver(s) from that folder.  It will handle picking up the INF files and other required files and adding them to the folder you initiate the import from.  Then you just have to make sure that folder is included in the selection profiles for your deployment.

  • C drive seems abnormally large for the deployment (.WIM taking up all the space)

I just started using SCCM 2012 R2.  I've gotten everything setup to do my deployment but it turns out I clicked deploy on a .wim file I had and it filled up the C drive.  This is a virtual machine and I never intended to store the data on the C:\
drive.  But by following a install online it seems that the default DP puts it there.  My SCCMContentLib seems to grow uncontrollably and I can't figure out why.  At first I started with a 40GB vm.  Then moved it up to 60 to give me 20GB
of free space.  Next I noticed that my image wasn't getting sent via the client pc because of a error which tracked back to the operating system status being red.  This tracked to not enough space on the C:\ when I clicked the error.  I noticed
somehow this WIM file took up the 20GB I had given it extra.
My image is for a Dell Optiplex 3020.  The .wim file is 9GB in size on the file share.  Yet when I right click and check the properties under Operating System Images it shows as 22,083.82MB.  Which doesn't seem all that confusing understanding
that this is probably the extracted size?
So no problem I increased the drive size by 40GB again.  I then went to the operating system and right clicked and said distribute content.  But it didn't seem to turn yellow.  So I went to Task Sequences, Distribute content on the task sequence
that is set to push out that image, then went back to the OS and clicked distribute again.  This time it went Yellow.  I waited and waited then it failed out again.
Now when I check the C:\ drive it has 4GB or so free, and the status is red again with the error not enough space on the C:\ NTFS drive.  I have no idea how a 9GB .wim file can turn into 60GB of space eaten up?  What am I not understanding about
SCCM.  Just using WDS seemed like a much better solution as it didn't require a insane amount of space to push a single image.  I understand that SCCM has many other capabilities which is why I moved to it.  Yet this is not a acceptable solution
using up 60+GB for a single 10GB wim file to image a few machines.
There must be something wrong here and I am not doing correctly.

To answer the questions thus far.  I originally used WDS and the other program which escapes me MDT? I think to create the wim files on the old server.  In the file share there is the .wim and a language.ini file which WDS and MDT created when
making those images.  I just moved them to the new file share which has plenty of space.  This .wim file is a little over 9GB in size on the file share.
I right clicked the OS file and clicked Distribute, I didn't click deploy.  I then boot PXE on the computer and it runs the task sequence.  I had several images which failed to distribute due to file space.  I removed the content by going
to the DP and in the Content tab and clicked on each image and clicked remove.  It stated that it would remove the data for those but would not remove any data linked to other deployments I believe.
I deleted the OS as you said and it cleared up 60GB of space.  The next issue is I had to delete the task sequence as I could not longer find a place to edit which WIM it used.  Not sure if this is standard or if there is a place to edit this after
the fact when we have a issue such as this?
I wanted to next look into moving the software library to my file share if possible.  I see I can create a mapped drive and for example make it E:\.  I have read that you can use the Config Manager 2012 R2 Tools to move this.  However it looks
like it moves MUCH more than just the SCCMSoftwarelib folder.  I have read it required or maybe recommended that you keep the software lib and other folders on the base drive with NTFS.  Curious if mapping a share and moving all the files to the
file server I created to store the .wim files is recommended here and possible?

  • Is MDT must have for OS deployment in SCCM 2012

I know that existing MDT could be integrated to a new SCCM.
Is MDT must have for OS deployment in SCCM 2012 or SCCM has its own engine for OS deployment?
--- When you hit a wrong note its the next note that makes it good or bad. --- Miles Davis

    Thanks for the answers.
    one more question...
I am going to start SCCM deployment in test environment.
    For OS deployment part:
if MDT is planned for integration with SCCM should I configure OS deployment in SCCM before adding MDT.
Or in this scenario OS deployment in SCCM could not be touched.
After all previous answers I understand that OS deployment module is part of SCCM installation and is independent from MDT.
