T410s Wireless adapter driver bluescreen win8
T410s 2901 with Windows 8 Professional x64.
Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 Wireless adapter
When I try install the wireless driver package G7W215WW.exe the system blue screens with this error: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE. I have tried some of the older drivers for Win8 with the same problem.
Any idea how to get this fixed? I'm currently unable to use my wireless with Windows 8.
Hi, parableit
You could try downloading the file and saving it, but then boot the computer into Safe Mode before installing it.
To boot into Safe Mode in Windows 8, open up the Charms Bar, select Settings, then Power. Hold down the Shift key and click Restart. Windows should begin shutting down and then a menu should pop up asking you what you want to do. Select Troubleshoot, then Advanced, and finally Startup Settings. Restart from here, and you can boot into Safe Mode with Networking when your computer restarts. In this mode, everything but core drivers and network drivers are not running. See if you can install the driver in this mode.
Best of luck, and let me know how it goes

Conexant audio update broke wireless adapter driver
Installed the recommended driver update for conexant audio (windows 7). Immediately upon restart the wireless network adapter card stopped functioning. No other updates or changes were made, and this was a direct result of this driver breaking the other driver. Could not get the wireless adapter driver to fix, had to do a system restore because even uninstalling the conexant driver did not fix the wireless driver.
Bad update!Hi, Please try driver from the following link (the first one): http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/readIndex?sp4ts.oid=6732463&swLangOid=8&swEnvOid=4063 Regards.

This adapter was not working so I uninstalled it rebooted computer and it didn't reload. Operating system windows 7 on a laptop. I need to download the software. Updates don't work either. It is a Broadcom virtual wireless adapter. I was not working before
so I uninstalled along with my Bluetooth personal area network adapter. The PAN adapter re-installed ok the other didn'tHello Bobby Yeeraby,
Please explain a bit about the issue and the requirement to avoid misunderstanding.
Please correct me if I have misunderstanding:
1. Do you mean that you uninstall the PAN adapter and Broadcom virtual wireless adapter?
2. You can update the PAN adapter driver in device manger.
3. You can not install the Broadcom virtual wireless adapter driver in device manager.
Do you receive any error message when you install the Broadcom virtual wireless adapter driver?
Does the network function work normally when you can reinstall the Broadcom virtual wireless adapter?
Please go to the manufacturer website and update the network adapter driver and check.

Help: XP driver for 3000 G410 wireless adapter
Hi All,
My recently bought g410 came with Vistra (only) drivers CD, while I'm installing winXP instead. I downloaded drivers from Lenovo website and everything worked except the winXP driver for "wireless network adapter" (all 3 of them: Gemtek, 3xxx, & 4xxx), the adapter was simply not recognized.
When I look at g410 spec, it says something like "Wireless Network Type: InviLink 802.11BG", does it mean that it is another type of wireless network driver those available on Lenovo's site? If so, where can I get this driver? Can someone help, please?
Thanks,
fitro
Solved!
Go to Solution.Dear Silens,
Have tried to install the vista driver for Gemtek, and YES, the wireless thing is working now! Thanks for the feedback.
I notice that in the device manager, the device reads something like"Broadcom 802.11g" while from the specification, the wireless adapter should be 802.11bg (the letter "b" is missing from the description). I don't notice any performance issue though, however, would like to know if you have the same description as well?
Dear Rex,
I don't know how to start the system update software, do i need to download from any website?
Thanks,

What should I download as the wireless LAN driver/adapter
When I search for a wireless LAN driver in the hp site there are 8 or more wireless LAN drivers/adapters under different names. I do not know what exactly I need. please help me. I downloaded Mediatek 802.11wireless LAN adapter driver but I couldn't connect to any other laptop's wifi hotspot. Sometimes it says "Connecting to the connecting to the network is taking longer than usual".Because of this I can not play LAN games. I know the connection is limited but connecting to the network should be fast and there should not be any problem with it.
Hi there , Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome! This is a great site to get answers and ask questions. I understand that you are looking to find out which Wireless LAN driver you should download for your Wireless Adapter. If you look under your device manager, what does it say under Network Adapters ? You can right click on the Network Adapter it lists and click Update Driver Software right there. Do you have any exclamations marks or red x's? Your could also use the HP Support Assistant to make sure that all of your updates have been done. That would put the proper driver in also. If you want to use the HP Pavilion 15-n240tx Notebook PC Driver Webpage, all you have to do is find out what the name of your Network Adapter is in your Device Manager. (Picture above) Please follow these provided troubleshooting steps, re-post and let me know how everything went. Thank you! Have a great day!

Wireless Adapter (WUSB54G) Driver Issues
My wireless adapter doesn't automatically connect to the internet. I went under devices and found that it was there but listed as unspecified. I right clicked and troubleshoot'd, but it only claimed to have reinstalled the drivers because there was no change and I still cannot connect to the internet. Help appreciated.
Hi,
This behavior occurs if the driver is corrupt or not compatible.
I suggest that you download the latest driver from the computer manufacturer’s website, and reinstall the driver. However, if the driver is not indicated as a Windows 7 beta driver, but for Windows Vista, we could not ensure that it will work. In this case you may need to wait for the manufacturer to release compatible drivers.

Which driver will enable wireless adapter on my notebook
I recently purchased hp 15 notebook r204tu I am confused about which driver should I use for wireless internet access .When you go on hp website for drivers they have given 7 drivers I donot know which one would work please can any provide link to the driver or name the manufacturer of the wireless adapter I m using windows 7 64 bit sp1
This question was solved.
View Solution.HP uses various brands of wireless adapters in their laptops.Your driver page has Broadcom & Qualcomm Atheros drivers so it is likely you have one or the other. You can try both- or get the hardware id of the wireless adapter. From Device Manager, right click the adapter, choose Properties. In the window that opens click the Details tab. Use the dropdown selector to choose Hardware ID. Use the top line that appears and do a search for that string to find the device name. Or you can post it here.

Wireless adapter not showing up in device manager
Hello all,
I am having a particularly frustrating problem. I was playing around with the memory timings to overclock my computer and all of a sudden, my wireless adapter ceases to exist to my computer. It does not show up anywhere in device manager (including no unknown devices or anything), only the Ethernet shows up. I have tried a system restore, turned off all OC and my BIOS is updated to the most recent version. Is it possible that trying to overclock my computer caused the wireless adapter to burn out? The motherboard I'm using is the msi x99S gaming 9 ack.
Any help would be very appreciated, thank you all in advance for your time to help out!remove power cord from the PSU and >>Clear CMOS Guide<<
if the wifi card is removable, try to reseat it
also install latest killer drivers from:

Lenovo T410 Wireless N pauses (g better but not perfect)
I have a brand new T410 with intel wireless 6200 abgn, wireless N performance is poor when streaming video etc.
I have done quite a lot of work and updated driver to latest 13.4.0.9 and also tried both winXP and Win7 pro 64 bit, both the same.
Problem:
When streaming wireless N @ 300mbs, even if 6 feet from the access point (Draytek 2820 bgn) after varying times, up to 2 minutes, wireless network traffic will pause for between 1 second to maybe 10 seconds or more then 'wake up' The signal always shows 300mbs connection, so not connectivity, performance monitor shows no lost packets and of course when video buffer runs out (5 sec) then video stops. If the pause is not too long, the video stream will re-start., but not a great viewing experience as a result. Even if I cut the video stream rate to just 3mbit/s it stops stream for 5-10 seconds every 2-3 minutes, worse if I stream at full speed 8mbit/s.
I also checked wireless performance with iperf to check max wireless data xfer speed connected at a steady 300mbit/s wireless N, single TCP datastream stream, but xmit is a steady 27.5mbit/s max over 30 seconds but receive 22mbit/s max can drop to zero, yes 0mbit/s for up to 3 seconds in a 30second burst . the test from wireless to a GbE wired PC on the router GbE port , If I checked the 6200 stats, it shows nothing either, all traffic is in one the '2x54 and 2x60mbit/s fast lanes', it is like the adapter is sleeping. If I stream 2 data streams wireless N with iperf I get a sum transmit rate of 45-47mbit/s (23+23) but the sum receive rate is stuck at 20-25mbit (13+13) , varies wildly and dops to zero/near zero at the same time on both streams.
UDP performance in wireless N was not good either.
Originally the pb was the same on wireless g as well also just 6 feet from the router, I got a new T410 wireless card under warranty and now wireless g is better, but still odd smaller drop offs in traffic of 1-2mbit/s, but acceptable with max transmit speed of 20.5mbits/s and receive of 22mbits/s, I would be happy with that., Streaming video still pauses now and again as network traffic stops/pauses, but noy for long enough usually to affect video streaming. Throughput is very close to my T60 wireless g speed in fact, just not as steady... Wireless signal strengths seem comaparable as well.
With the new wireless card the wireless N is a bit better, can run up to 2-3 minutes but it is still real bad even with the new mini pci wireless card.
I have a belkin wireless bg AP and the draytek bgn AP, when in wireless g it is much better on both APs since the new card fitted, T410 connects up at solid 54mbit/s 54g , not so bad but still see some network pause but rare. Wireless N is still bad, I tweaked draytek wireless N settings, greenfield mode, 20 and 40mbs channel, no turbo, max power, no nearby wireless, tried no encryption, other AP turned of, wireless N only mode,,,cannot get it working. Tweaked T410 6200 settings, max power etc, co change.
Just to be sure, streaming over the GbE adapter is perfect and iperf gave max speed of >300mbits/s both ways, constant, so I guess the OS winXP and win7 side of things is ok.
If I compare the performance of the new T410 with my outgoing T60 3495abg wireless winXP SP3, T60 wins hands down, perfect streaming, solid , no speed pauses all round the house the last 4 years.
Just to rule out my draytek 2820 wireless bgn router, I did similar test on wireless N only to a 9 year old IBM T23 thinkpad with a Netgear Draft N pcmcia adapter, it performed better than the T410 with iperf and streaming the same video over wireless N, no stops and stutters, constant net traffic of 3mbit/s and connected at draytek AP at 270mbit/s WPA2..
I am stumped, I am just pretty sure it is a wireless N only receive pb. Is there any chance it could be an aerial pb, if so I guess I will send it away for repair to fix that under warranty.
Anybody out there with any ideas ?
Many thx

Done.I've been having a problem that matches your description too. Wireless-N connection drops whenever significant load is put on it. I've got a Dell Studio 15 Laptop with an Intel 5300 wireless and Win 7 x64 connecting to a Draytek Vigor2820vn. The laptop doesn't have the problem connected to any other networks. The problem also goes away if I set the draytek to only operate in Wireless-G mode (well, it becomes so rare as to become irrelevant, 15+ mins between pauses instead of <2mins). I sent the router back to Draytek who replaced the internal wireless card. I've tried just about every firmware and setting I can find. I've also replaced the wireless card with an Intel 6300 card, and tried many different driver versions. No joy with anything. I've had many false starts, as the problem is just unpredictable enough to be difficult to test in reasonable time. I haven't experienced drops when the network has no security, but operating with no security is useless!
If you manage to get to the bottom of the problem I'd be really interested. I'm currently considering opening the Draytek up and inspecting the wireless card in it myself. I've also wondered if it is possible to replace it, but I don't know how that would work with the draytek firmware. I believe the wireless card in the router is an "AirCruiser N300" card (based on this image - http://www.thg.ru/network/draytek_vigor_2820vn/draytek_vigor_2820vn_screenshots_7_1.html)
I've been documenting my attempts to solve this issue at http://www.jonsguides.com/2010/09/unsolved-strange-wireless-video.html
Thanks in advance for any ideas anyone has
-edit-
I've got Windows 7 updated to SP1 which made no difference, and I've installed the system administrator version of Intel Proset and used the Intel utility instead of the Windows one to manage wireless networks. No joy with those either. The most likely culprit seems to be the router / the wireless card in the router -

Hi,
I recently formatted my T41, and having reinstalled Windows, the wireless adapter was nowhere to be found.
I have tried downloading wireless drivers from the lenovo site, but after running the setup, and even using the add new hardware wizard to install the hardware using the newly installed drivers, still the computer doesn't even acknowledge the existance of a wireless adapter.
Model number: 2373-AGG
Please help!
Thanks.Welcome to the forum!
This is the correct wireless driver for your T41:
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-46058
After downloading it, you must go into C>Drivers>Win>Cisco (or something similar) and run the setup file from there.
Hope this helps.

[In Windows 8.1] When I access the Device Manager, it does not list my wireless adapter as one of the devices available. I have attempted to manually install the drivers from the BootCamp 5.1.5621 file.
I've spent several hours attempting to remedy this but have only found threads explaining how to solve the problem if the 802 adapter is already listed in the device manager.I recently had some BT issue's in Win8 so I wrote a topic about this subject. Maybe you need to replace the Broadcom drivers as well.

WUSB54G - Wireless Adapter Causing BSOD
Here is one for the support team. I wanted to connect another PC iwas working on to the internet via my WUSB54G wireless adapter. This was a fresh install, but an old computer. At the point in the installation where the adapter is connected to the USB port, Windows keeps shutting down and giving me a blue screen. Any advice?
Did you try to install the adapter drivers and not the software ? If not you should try that...
Make sure you connect the adapter to a different USB Port(don't use the port to which it's already connected)...
Download the adapter drivers from here: http://home.cisco.com/en-us/wireless?referrer=www.linksysbycisco.com
Once you have downloaded the drivers you need to unzip the file...After you unzip the file you should un-install the adapter drivers/software from Programs menu...Connect the adapter to a different USB Port and reboot your computer...Once the computer is rebooted you should see a message "Found new Hardware"...Select the option Install it from a specific location and click Next, then select Include this location in Search and browse to the place where you have unzipped all the files and select the Driver folder and click O.k...Then click Next and it should install the adapter drivers...
NOTE : This installation doesn't install the software(Linksys Monitor)...
Once the Adapter is installed, Click on the Start button >>> Control Panel >>> Network Connections- Right click on the "Wireless Network Connection" icon and select "View Available Wireless Networks"- If you see your wireless network in the list, highlight it by 'single' clicking on it- Now click on the 'Connect' button below- If your wireless network is secured, it would ask you to provide the network key- Provide the wireless network key and confirm it again in the confirmation box and click "Connect". See if this corrects your problem... -
Wireless adapter causing blue screen
Hello,About a month ago on my Lenovo Ideapad Z580, I was using the internet when it said I was no longer connected. When I tried troubleshooting, it reset the wireless connection adapter and gave me a blue screen. When it restarted and I tried troubleshootingt it again, it enabled the adapter and worked fine. Since that first time, this BSOD has happened every day, sometimes multiple times a day, but not everytime I am on the internet. I have tried doing a system restore at a few different points, but the restore always ends in an error. I checked at the driver for the wireless adapter is up to date. Please advise on what I can do to fix this problem. Thank you,Stephanie
The symptoms you describe could be symptomatic of a variety of things to include hardware/software issues, overheating caused by a failed processor fan, bad memory (RAM), failing or underpowered power supply, CPU overheating, motherboard, video card, faulty or unsigned device drivers, CMOS battery going bad, BIOS and firmware problems, dirty hardware components, programs hanging or unresponsive in the background, and even malware. If the computer is overheating, it usually begins to shutdown/restart on a more regular basis.
If the machine is only crashing at home after establishing a connection but not at work when establishing a connection, then its probably an issue with your network configuration or something (i.e. wireless adapter) causing a conflict and not a malware issue.
The DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error is usually due to a bad driver or faulty/incompatible hardware or software. This error condition means that a kernel-mode process or driver tried to access a memory location to which it did not have permission, or at a kernel Interrupt ReQuest Level (IRQL) that was too high. -
Lenovo Yoga 13 Downgrade to Windows 7 Wireless Lan Driver & USB3.0 Driver
Hey guys,
I have purchased the Yoga 13 in U.A.E in last Feb. with AED4,999.00
But some programms does not work with Windows 8. So I am using Windows7 with multi-boot.
Guess you guys also have such problem.. eventually finding out the WIFI Driver & USB3.0 Driver.
Now, I have succeeded in installing both of them.
1. Wireless Lan Driver : Realtek RTL8723A Wireless LAN 802.11n USB 2.0 Network Adapter.
The way I found this driver is... Download all the REALTEK driver in a designated folder.. of course uncompressed.
And then using the contraol panel... updated the driver with the designated folder.
Now it is working very well.
2. USB3.0 Driver
It was an easy game. I just have downloaded thee Intel USB3.0 Driver for Windows7... you could find it through google with easy.
And just installed it. It works very well.
=> You could download the file at http://me2.do/xKBVnWo3
(just put password : 4321 )
If you guys have problem with above issues... or need the file let me know with my mail at xxxxxxxxxxx
Anyhow, there are still two drivers I couldn't find.
