T420's Bluetooth does not pair or find other devices

Hi,
I have a T420 laptop and the problem is that bluetooth doesn't find other devices to pair with and also if I try to pair with the laptop from other device, it doesn't show the passkey and the connection timeouts.
I'm on Windows 7 and BT driver is 6.5.1.302 and Microsoft BT enumerator 6.1.7601.17607.
I have updated the driver but it doesn't fix it.
Any idea?

Seems like there is some software conflicting with the BT driver. Would advice to uninstall any software which might be accessing the BT or the USB ports?
Try doing a system restore (Windows) to the time before the issue happened. If still does not help then do a factory recovery using Rescue & Recovery.

There is nothing to solve. Pairin with another phone is not a supported BlueTooth protocol. The exception being pairing for some multi-player games.

So the applications is causing failures and ejects. Contact the software mfg. about resolution of this.

I am having the same problem, my brothers samsung picks up every bluetooth device thats remotely close but the 4s just sits there searching while sitting on the same desk as my iPad2, iMac 24" and headset that worked fine on my old 3 g.
I am not hugely tek savvy, can anyone explain in easy speak (the kid at the local apple reseeler told me the new bluetooth used on the 4s is not compatible with the older bluetooth devices.... hmmmmmm)

Macbook calendar does not sync to my other devices

I recently noticed that when I was editing events on my Macbook calendar it was not syncing to my other devices. If I edit the event and close out of the calendar and open it again the change does not stay, it goes back to what it previously said. I have already tried signing out and back into my iCloud and also checked that the calendar service under iCloud is selected. It says that iCloud is enabled on the calendar settings and it will successfully sync from my other devices to my macbook but not anything from my macbook out. Any help is greatly appreciated. I am currently running Yosemite 10.10.1

Went to 4.5 and now Bluetooth does not pair with anything.

I have already checked every setting I can think of, my phone is discoverable; I've tried with and without encryption; I've tried to connect to other phones; I have had the other phones try to pair with me...
When my husband's phone tries to pair with mine I get this message: Service not supported by other device. Same with my mom's phone and my dad's phone. All different brands, Nokia, Motorola, etc.
I have an LG HBM-770 Hands free device and it connects perfectly.

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
There is a few things to check to see if the Bluetooth is working properly.
1. Go to Options on the BlackBerry, and open Bluetooth.
2. Press the menu key and select Options.
3. Scroll down and are ALL of the Bluetooth services check-marked?
4. Next go back into the main Options of the BlackBerry.
5. Go into Security Options and then General Settings.
6. Is there anything that states an IT Policy Name?
You can always perform a reset to factory to make sure nothing security related is affecting the Bluetooth connectivity.

E71 bluetooth does not pair with my car bluetooth

my old Nokia phone paired with my car , however having just upgraded my phone to an E71 it will not pair, does anyone know how to resolve this - thanks

To set automatic bluetooth connections go to MENU - CONNECTIVITY - BLUETOOTH, at the top of the scree you will see the word Bluetooth then abluetooth icon and spanner; curser to the right to the next twin bluetooth icon where it will show all the paired devices. If there are none listed go to the options soft-key and select "New paired device". If you have previously paired a device select it, if not search for devices then connect. Choose "authorise device" to connect automatically in future. Having said all that, and done all those things, my E71 still wont connect to authorised devices!! It must be a software problem with the E71 because my N96 and X6 have all worked perfectly automatically with the same devices the E71 won't!! Come on Nokia give us a software update to fix this problem; PLEASE.

My macbook air bluetooth does not pair with a bluetooth speakers!

While it appears that the Mac is discoverable, since it is not seeing the speakers, you may need to check the documentation that came with the speakers to see if they are in discovery/pairing mode, and how to get them into that mode. Then try and pair them.

Sync does not show tabs from other devices

I have two computers running Windows 8.1 and FF 26: at work, and at home. Both are synced, however, every time I want to see tabs on the other computer (History - Tabs from other devices) all I see is a blank tab. Sync settings on both are to sync everything (tabs option checked).
Is this a bug, or is there anything else I need to do to see the remote tabs?

Hi, yes, other items do sync (bookmarks from remote host show up instantly).

As you can see, there are some potential authentication issues, but I don't understand why would it only affect tabs sync, while bookmarks are fine. Note also that I merged all the stuff to the sync account by Sync - Manage Account - Reset Sync - Merge data from this device browser into your Sync account.

Bluetooth does not connect

My iphone5 bluetooth does not pair with either of two devices after my phone was exchanged. Is there something I'm missing, or something I can do? Do I need to go back to the Apple Store?

Resetting PRAM did not change anything. Resetting SMC was the solution (and a very simple - just pull the plug and have a beer). Thanks for helping to get rid of the nightmare.
The question, however, is why does this happen so oftenly? It took me about 6 hours to check all potential culprits. The incidence that caused the problem was a simple breakdown of an application that has nothing to do with bluetooth. After that, my system has generated hundreds of false messages and indications that everything would function perfectly. My keyboard was accepted, some other devices, too. But I have not been able to change anything without attaching non-bluetooth devices. Before that I needed to use another computer to learn about it. Who, in **** owns, a battery of input devices and additional computers to hunt for the culprit?

Folders that I copy from my Macbook to my External Hard Disk does NOT appear on any other drive that I connect the Hard disk to (TV, PC, ... etc.)

I'm facing a bit of a problem.
Any folder I copy from my Macbook Pro to my External Hard Disk does NOT appear on any other device that I connect the Hard Disk to (TV, PC, etc).
The Hard disk format is "MS-DOS (FAT)".
The folders that are copied from Macbook appear when I connect the Hard Disk to my Macbook only, yet, the folders that I copy from a PC to the Hard Disk appear on Macbook, PC, and TV and are also available from editing from both Mac and PC.
I was advised to install "Paragon" software and I did but I'm not sure how to use it to convert the folders on the hard drive to any format that can be read on other drives or devices (NTFS or otherwise).
I'd appreciate some help. Thank you.

Hi Simon. How is it formatted, FAT or NTFS?
I only ask as OSX will only read NTFS partitions unless you install an App such as Paragon NTFS or Tuxera NTFS.

Bluetooth on i phone does not pair - searh goes on and on

Iphone supports bluetooth for stereo headsets/speakers, handsfree telephone devices/headsets, some peer-to-peer apps from the app store, sone keyboards, and tethering where provided by the carrier.
Other than this it will not connect to any computer/device/phone.

you can't tranfer files with the built in program that apple gives you, you may (i belevie) download an app that allows you
