T430 Mouse problem curser jumps to right corner ?

Hi
I have this very ignoring problem that when I use my touchpad and tab on the surface (like leftclick on the mouse) the curser jumps to the upper right corner ?
This problem seem to have occured just suddenly. It doesnt happen all the time though.
How do I fix this random issue?
I can use right and left click on the button(s) fine
regards

I'm noticing the same symptom: the pointer will jump to the corner of the screen without warning. But in my case it's tougher to diagnose the cause, because:
1. It's happening with not one, but two Mighty Mice connected to the same MacBook Pro at different times, the mouse I use at work and the mouse I use at home.
2. I use solid color mousepads in both locations.
3. It started happening the same day in both locations. I noticed it during the day at work, then to my surprise it started happening that evening.
I would normally be the first to blame the problem on an optical tracking issue. But this set of circumstances definitely argues for something in the system! Anyone else seen anything like it?

  • Mouse jumps upper right corner clicking

Around July 15th my mouse started to jump to the upper right corner and performing a click. I think its something to do with synaptics .I've read lots of old tricks to fix it but it may work few hours then comes back. Such as changing mouse options. Uninstalling synaptic works the longest then comes back in 5 to 8 hours later. Anyone can help?

  • Annoying Mouse Problem - Extreme Jumping

    Hello,
I'm hoping to find a solution to a problem that I've been experiencing recently.
I've done several searches for some sort of correction, but have yet to find one. My problem is with Photoshop CS4 64. Ever since last week, my mouse has been all over the place ONLY in Photoshop. Please not that this is your basic standard mouse that requires no installation.
I've been using photoshop for the passed 2 years now in the office and have never ran into this problem. The ONLY thing that I've changed since then, is swapping to dual monitors. I've been guessed that having two monitors was my problem, but I have no other problems with any other programs. This includes Indesign, Premier Pro, Flash, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver.
After a fresh restart, there is no lag or delay that I experience - so I'm sure that my computer is not bogged down. Even while working with small images I still experience the erratic movements. I guess the best way to describe the problem is clicking on an object and having someone shove your arm constantly while you try to work. While it does not happen every single time, it's guaranteed to happen at least once out of five clicks. Sometimes the image will only jump several pixels away and other times it will completely disappear, requiring an "undo" action to bring it back to the center of your work.
As mentioned, my computer is your average work computer:
    Dell - Optiplex 740 - Vista Business 64
AMD Athlon Dual Core Processor 5400B 2.4 GHz
    4 Gigs of Ram
If anyone has any remedies or maybe even a patch, I'm all ears.

Another possible Quadro problem...  Based on the number of problems reported here with Quadro cards in the mix, it's a wonder nVidia gets a premium price for these cards.
Out of curiosity, if you temporarily disable OpenGL via Edit - Preferences - Performance, then uncheck [ ] Enable OpenGL Drawing, then restart Photoshop, do you get any relief?
If so, it may be a driver update for the display adapter from nVidia.com will help.

  • Trackpad won't move curser mouse does. Left and right click working fine

    Hello everyone,
I have a problem. Out of nowhere my trackpad won't move the curser anymore. Connecting a USB mouse does. Left and right click are still working fine. Any ideas of how to fix it?
    Thanks
    Dave

    Hey there DaveDaMac,
It sounds like your built in track pad is not responding at all, but your USB mouse works without issue. I recommend the troubleshooting in this article for you named:
Intel-based Mac notebooks: Troubleshooting unresponsive trackpad issues
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1248
Try disconnecting the MagSafe connector from the computer and check the trackpad function. If the trackpad becomes responsive again, improper grounding may be the issue.
If a two-prong AC plug is being used with the power adapter, try using the three-prong power cable that shipped with your computer and plug it into a grounded outlet.
If the issue persists, make sure the third prong is present and do not use an adapter to enable the three-prong adapter to be used in a two-prong outlet. Note that the ground in the three-prong outlet may not be connected. This is common in older homes or buildings with replaced outlets. In these situations, the three-prong power cable will not improve trackpad responsiveness.
If a grounded outlet is not available, rest your palm on the palm rest when using the trackpad. This should enable the trackpad to function properly.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the very best,
    Sterling

  • Cursor moves to lower right corner every time I move mouse.

Macro, running 10.6.8. I came back from vacation after not using computer for a week and now this happens. Every time I move the mouse, less than a second later, it moves to lower right corner. Managed to repair permissions, but no good. Restarted with OS disk, repaired disk and permissions. Each time it repairs permissions, there is a long list of items, which seems odd.
Also zapped pram. And unplugged computer for a while.
Figured I try to install 10.7 Lion, which was tricky with limited mouse movement. It installed and worked fine for about a few minutes, but same problem occurred.
    Thoughts anyone?

It sounds like your display is zoomed. Open System Preferences, Universal Access window. You will probable see that "Zoom" is set to "On". You can either turn it off there, or use the hotkey combination cmd-option-8 to toggle Zooming. See there is also a hotkey for zooming in and out. You must have hit the "zoom in" hotkey inadvertently.
If you click the "Options" button, you see the settings that are causing the window to relocate. At the bottom, you probably have "Continuously with pointer" selected.
I should mention that 10.4.9 has two odd glitches that cause the display to shift around, these are probably soon-to-be-implemented features in 10.5.

Anyone have the problem of iPhone6 momentarily flashing brilliant white in top right corner when turned on?

Here's an example of what I'm talking about:
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2Sq_qEpEM6jMVQ4S2diVnFtNHM/edit?usp=sharing
Again, this only happens for certain video content available in the iTunes store. This was taken from Star Wars: The Clone Wars episode season 5, episode 16 "The Lawless". More recently I've noticed this happening to iTunes store videos in iTunes for Windows (v11.1, Windows 7 SP 1), my iPad mini (iOS 7.0.3), and my iPod Touch 4th gen (iOS 6.1.3), in addition to my Apple TV (v6.0 software). Sometimes it occurs during the whole episode, sometimes just for a few seconds. It's also not consistent across devices; some will the play the same video with the green dot and some without. I'm at a loss to explain it given this lack of consistency, so any help would be appreciated.

  • Mouse cursor sometime jumps down

I have ThinkPad Yoga 20CD0-038. If I use OneLink Dock, my mouse cursor sometime jump to down or down-right and sometimes makes a click or right-click. I have two OneLink Dock and two different mouse. It is the same when the mouse is connected to USB in Yoga and to USB in OneLink Dock. It is very annoying, I'm going crazy from it :-(

    Hi,
I have the same problem as well. I don't think it's related to the mouse hardware at all- on mine the mouse curser stays in the same position but Photoshop registeres is elsewhere! If I let go (of holding the mouse button), the mouse is still where I left it. I've had this problem since Photoshop CS4 x64 but the problem still happens on Photoshop CS5 x64 (it was fine at first but after about a month of use now CS5 has started having the same problem).
I've had the problem for a while (almost a year now) and is really annoying! I dont have any tablets, and I've changed my mouse a few times. I am using a laptop with Windows Ultimate x64. It only happens in photoshop, it's fine in Adobe InDesign.
Hopefully someone might come up with a solution!
Thanks to anyone who can help me/us

  • Unreal Tounament Classic/99 mouse problem - archlinux 64bit

    Hello,
in UT Classic (uses /opt/lib32) my USB Logitech MX518 mouse isn't working correctly.
When I move the mouse the mousepointer starts to move but always jumps back in the lower right corner.
In X itself and stuff like gimp the mouse is working without a problem.
It seems to be a problem with some of the lib32 as I have swaped the arch lib32 with lib32 from "Sourcemage" (called "smgl-emul32" there).
With the Sourcemage version the mouse is working without a problem in UT.
Do you have any idea which library in archs /opt/lib32 may be the cause of this or how to identify it ?
Anyone playing UT Classic 32bit in Archlinux 64bit without this problem ?
Just using the Sourcemage smgl-emul32 libs isn't a good solution as this stop wine+starcraft from working in arch for me.
    //edit
I forgot to mention that the touchpad (synaptics driver) works flawless in UT - but touchpad-3d-shooting is a bit difficult to master for me ;-)
    Best regards,

SDL_VIDEO_X11_DGAMOUSE doesn't care whether the xorg mouse driver is "mouse" or "evdev", it will still have an effect

  • Curser Jumping to the Left

Yesterday when I went to use my computer I noticed that the curser was not following the movements that I wanted it to. In fact it kept going to the very right edge of the screen and would be clicking try to close windows and select anything on the right side. I couldn't even get the curser over to the Left side of the screen. I tried cleaning the screen, no results. I tried cleaning my mouse, no results. I tried changing the batteries of my mouse, nothing. I tried switich so that I clicked the right side of the mouse instead of the left, nada. I reinstalled the driver and restarted, sucess (or so I thought). I try to use my computer again today, mouse is jumping, same thing as yesturday but worse. I can't keep anything open to read any information on how to help me. I re-reinstall the driver and restart, yeah...no. I try to reboot, not able to because my mouse is jumping so much I can't get to the controll panal. I try rebooting manually, I didn't do it right because  the screen where I can open is safe mode isn't coming up. The mouse is still jumping so heck, let's restart her again. I log in and suddenly everything is quiet, the mouse isn't jumping it's following my commands, it's behaved long enough for me to register for the forum and write about this god-forsaken problem. If you have any information of how to get this to stop I would really appreciate it. I have a lot of faith that this problem will reoccur when I sign in tomorrow. I am running a virus scan now just in case, but do not have the results from this yet. And no, I have not downloaded any new software recently. Thanks, hope you can help

    Greeting dear friends,
Boy did I try some new and exciting things on my Envy 23 last night. I did a long lovely hard drive test that solved none of my problems. Then I finally figured out how to restore my computer to a point where the mouse was not torturing me. Following the restore I thought my problem was solved, after all restore solves everything right.
Well I'm writing this so obviously we now know better. After fighting with my curser for 15 min I have managed to turn on HP support assistant. Their are 2 upgrades for me. I am currently downloading them as the support assistant blinks on and off like a demented strobe light. Will HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI or Realtek Bluetooth 4.0 solve the problem?
    No.
How about a tune-up... Well it does seem a little more solid, but it just ain't working. Time to contact tech support.
Hahaha, try to select your location with a flashing curser is fun, they should make a game out of it. Let's try to chat why not. Hello Marvin

  • Bottom right corner resize controls trump vertical scroll button if set to appear in the bottom corner

My bottom right corner square of the Firefox window normally sits below the bottom of the vertical scroll bar and right of the horizontal scroll bar if one exists. The square is used to click and drag to resize the window's right and bottom boundaries.
At issue is when a web site places its vertical scroll down-arrow button in the bottom right corner. I cannot access the down-arrow button with my mouse to cause the page to scroll down a few lines at a time because when I point the mouse there, I get the resize controls instead. Even though the down-arrow button is plainly visible on the screen, the resize controls take charge and I cannot use the scroll control.
Two example web sites display their down-arrow control at the very bottom of the window; TIME.com and GMAIL.com. I have also viewed two PDF documents in the browser, and they too, have a vertical scroll bar all the way to the bottom, and I cannot use that down-arrow button because instead I get the northwest-southeast click-to-resize cursor instead of the mouse pointer when I attempt to use that button for scrolling.
Someone on the Google Help forum was not able to replicate that issue, showing me screenshots of his lower right corner mouse behavior. He does not have the resize control covering access to the scroll bar.
I am using the latest Firefox, I have reset Firefox, thus dumping all of my add-ons and custom settings, and have only put back AdBlock Plus and Cookie Monster. And Troubleshooter, when I asked a similar question.
I am running Windows XP, on its last days of support. This computer is not capable of running anything newer, unless I run with Linux.
Going to TIME.com, its vertical scroll is in the bottom corner and I get the resize control arrows instead of the mouse pointer when I point to the down-button. If I disable page styles in the View menu, I get a useful output that sets the end of the vertical scroll above the bottom corner. So somebody's idea of styling the page (CSS) creates this issue for me.
Going to Gmail, turning off the styles gives me a useless output of nonsense, so I must use page styling enabled.
Can someone please give me some guidance? This forum page has vertical and horizontal scroll above and left of the bottom corner square. I have access to all the parts of both scroll bars, as is the case on most well-designed pages.
My window-resize controls are in charge always of the bottom corner square even if the vertical scroll is supposed to be there.
See also my first wording of this question: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/993519

Those layout.css prefs are about enabling some CSS feature, in this case vertical writing, so have nothing to do with scroll bars.

    *resource://gre/greprefs.js
<pre><nowiki>// Is support for CSS vertical text enabled?
    pref("layout.css.vertical-text.enabled", false); </nowiki></pre>

As I today reinstalled Thunderbird and Lightning, I discovered, that the 2 small tabs (Calendar and tasks) in the upper right corner of the window is interfering with the icons at the same place from the program Ultramon, that i use because I now are working with 2 displays.
Are there any way to move those 2 tabs a little further to the right?
It is not a very big problem, but a bit annoying to click at the tasks tab, and the window jumps to the next screen.
    Any easy solution?

  • MSI K7N2 Delta-ILSR, Mouse problem & Video off problem solved!!!

I find the following information that I collected very interesting at the very least...
    Here goes...
The video off problem that I was having was directly linked to the mouse. Here, let me explain the video off problem. In the BIOS Have the Standby mode set to S3. The problem occurred when I started windows, then went into standby, then started back up, then restarted the computer, the monitor would act as if it were in sleep mode, or rather there was no signal being sent to the monitor. Well the odd way I fixed that is by plugging in a standard 2 button PS/2 mouse. Also this fixed the issue with the mouse sometimes not working in windows.
    Here is how I tested.
    Logitech MX700 Cordless Optical Mouse, PS/2 & USB= failed.
Logitech iFeel Optical Mouse, USB= failed.
Microsoft Cordless Ball Mouse, PS/2= failed.
Standard Artec (Cheapy brand) Ball Mouse (With no wheel), PS/2= All issues fixed, and passed.
When I said failed I do not mean they didn't work, I mean they sometimes didn't work and also caused the Video off problem after restarting the computer.
Obviously it isn't the ports (PS/2 or USB) that are the problem, it is more like the mouse itself, and the amount of buttons in particular. As you can see above the only mouse that works correctly is the one that only has 2 buttons, the rest has 3 or more buttons along with a Wheel. The MX700 has 8 buttons + wheel, WOW!
Anyways I figure out it was the mouse, and not the memory.
Obviously MSI needs to make a patch for this mouse problem.
I'm still having a hard time believing that the mouse caused the video not to work, but it is true! I spend well over 5 hours testing this crap. Every time with the mice with more then 3 buttons it messed up, and every time with the 2 button old fashion mouse it worked flawlessly!
MSI, get to work on a new BIOS to fix this mess!!!  :]

LOL, that isn't what I'm talking about.
There seems to be a problem with my motherboard accepting mice with more then 2 buttons. It works the first time, but if you restart the computer, the video goes off. If you have both installed, it still messed up.

I have a php module which runs fine in Firefox and all other browsers but not Safari. It always run twice - I see a small ? in upper right corner which is causing it to run twice but NO idea why? I read it MAY have something to do with am image it cannot load but I see them all loaded.  Help - thank you

Could you share a link to the page?
Seeing it in context and in our browsers is much easier to debug.
If not, make sure to run the validator here The W3C Markup Validation Service and clear out any problems. HTML errors, especially structural ones, will cause all kinds of display problems in various browsers/versions/platforms.

  • Opening a new URL, a blank page appears with 2 messages on the top left and right corner of the window: "Advertise here" and "Skip this ad" and it will not go to the requested site until I push "Skip this ad"

It would be nice to have the possibility to attach a print screen or something to give you a better idea what is happening and how it looks like.
Anyway, what I described above is accurate:
    - the address bar shows the link where I wish to go
    - but the page loaded is blank with these 2 hyperlink messages ("Advertise here" in the top left corner, and "Skip this ad" in the top right corner).
I would like to emphasize that it does not have to do with the requested URL: it does the same thing with all sites, all the time.

For me is the same, it's yet 6 months.
the blank page apears for the first 20-30 of the day's navigation, then no more.
For example: If I open firefox at 9 a.m., it appears until 9.30 more or less. If i surf the web until mignight, at 00.01 a.m. this page starts bugging me.
I have yust to click on the link "skip this ad" to return to the desired web page.
Using Adblockplus and NoScript plug-ins had sadly no effect.
I've read somewere that the ploblem should be an f**** adware called "directCPV"., and that the solution is toremove an .exe file called Directcpv.exe or somewhat else, but in my pc I haven't found any of those linked to this adware.
I tried a full system scan with an antivirus (McAfee), with Malwarebytes, Ad-Aware, ATF cleaner, Spybot, Exterminate-it but NO RESULTS.
I tried to do this in safe mode too.
No way cleaning the cache, temp files, cookies etc.
finally I tried to uninstall Firefox (cleaning all registry entry too) and reinstall it, but the problem is still there.
The only cure seems to be formatting the HD, but it's very last chance.
If someone have an idea, please post it here.
