T440p screen slightly adjusting brightness on google chrome

Hi, my T440p slightly adjusts the screen brightness depending on what is being displayed. For example, on Chrome, one page might have more images, so the screen slightly adjusts brighter or darker. Another page it might slightly adjust again. And it does it when scrolling down a page as well. It is distracting, and I want to disable it? I'm on windows 7.

I do not know if it's relevant or not, but I got a message on my ipad while on safari saying that my iPhone has a virus. I looked it up and it seems it might have just been an ad from the website I was on, but it happened around the same time YouTube stopped working.

You will find that using the YouTube app will provide a better viewing experience for YouTube videos.

First, back up all data immediately, as your boot drive might be failing.
There are a few other possible causes of generalized slow performance that you can rule out easily.
Reset the System Management Controller.
If you have many image or video files on the Desktop with preview icons, move them to another folder.
If applicable, uncheck all boxes in the iCloud preference pane.
Disconnect all non-essential wired peripherals and remove aftermarket expansion cards, if any.
Check your keychains in Keychain Access for excessively duplicated items.
Boot into Recovery mode, launch Disk Utility, and run Repair Disk.
Otherwise, take the steps below when you notice the problem.
Step 1
Launch the Activity Monitor application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Activity Monitor in the icon grid.
Select the CPU tab of the Activity Monitor window.
Select All Processes from the menu in the toolbar, if not already selected.
Click the heading of the % CPU column in the process table to sort the entries by CPU usage. You may have to click it twice to get the highest value at the top. What is it, and what is the process? Also post the values for % User, % System, and % Idle at the bottom of the window.
Select the System Memory tab. What values are shown in the bottom part of the window for Page outs and Swap used?
Next, select the Disk Activity tab. Post the approximate values shown for Reads in/sec and Writes out/sec (not Reads in and Writes out.)
Step 2
If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator to carry out this step.
Launch the Console application in the same way you launched Activity Monitor. Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Select the 50 or so most recent entries in the log. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V). You're looking for entries at the end of the log, not at the beginning.

Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Advanced tab.
Click Delete All under Browsing Data and Settings
Not empty the Safari cache.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Select: Show Develop menu in menu bar
Now click Develop from the menu bar. From the drop down menu click Empty Caches.
Now try a video.

Pink faded screen displaying google chrome on every gray background iMac

So, I just bought a new iMac earlier this year and today I noticed that I have a problem.
I was browsing on google chrome and I quit google chrome ... Afterwards I opened up photoshop, logic whatever anything with a gray background.
A faded view of the previous page "google chrome" is being displayed in pink visible only over any dark background (pictures attached)
It keeps on showing youtube screen faded in pink

So the attached image is showing Adobe Photoshop, opened up and google chrome was quitted but you can still see pink faded traces of google chrome on any gray background which doesn't want to disappear.
Yesterday this happened again and I switched of my iMac left it off for a few minutes and switched on again. The problem was gone but today the same thing happened ....
Please someone help me as I'm kind of disappointed not to find an apple 24/7 live support

Personally I set my Display Sleep to 10 minutes
and/or use a Hot Corner to sleep my Display when I'm not using it.

When I access my online class in google chrome I get three miniwindows on the page. When I access it using firefox I only get one of the miniwindows. I can send you a screen shot of each if it would help.

I can send you a print screen of the two ways .. one in google chrome and one using firefox... of how these appear so you can see the difference. I couldn't copy and past them into this window.

Lion - existing full screen on google chrome

When i am using google chrome and i enter full screen mode, i have not found a way to exit it other than going to the view tab and clicking exit full screen. THis is unlike using itunes where you would click the minimize logo in the upper right hand corner. PLease advice

Wait for Chrome to be updated to use all the bells and whistles of Lion.

Can not adjust brightness and minimize and maximize the screen with Fn keys

I have bought a HP 15-D006TU laptop 1 week back. f2 and f3 for adjusting brightness and f4 to minimize and maximize the screen are not working. I am also trying to install the Hotkey driver which is mostly suggested here. but the version available is not supported. Can anyone help me out in this case?

I understand that you are experiencing an issue with the brightness and the fn keys. When I looked up the specifications, I see it came with FreeDos. I am providing you links, to the software and driver page for your computer,HP 15-d006tu Notebook PC Drivers and Frequently Asked Questions About FreeDOS (FAQs). Please note the compatible keyboard driver. I would suggest you uninstall and reinstall the drivers for the keyboard. I am also providing you a document on Notebook Keyboard Troubleshooting (Windows 8), that may assist you. Google Chrome error when screen sharing

A particpant received a Google Chrome error when trying to share his screen. The error said that his AdobeConnect Add In was incompatible with his version of Google Chrome. He followed the instructions that were provided, in an attempt to fix the error, but that didn't work.
Has anyone experienced this and found any ways to fix it successfully?

According to your description, the error is encountered when you try to login your SharePoint Online site.
To troubleshoot this issue, please follow these steps for identifying the error code:
View the source code of the login.microsoftonline.com webpage that shows the error message. For example, in Internet Explorer, press the ALT key to display the menu bar (if it isn't already displayed),
and then clickSource on the View menu.
Search the source code for the HR= string, and then note the numeric code that follows the HR= string.
Then you can find more information about how to troubleshoot the issue according to the error code.

Why won't flash games go full screen with Google Chrome?

I read a problem with another user with flash games. Adobe FP does work great with Google Chrome. The only problem is the games will not go full screen. I get a black screen and it freezes. Any solutions?

First try a Reset: Hold down the home and sleep buttons, wait for the Apple logo, let go of the buttons.
