T500 after 4 weeks use traces on rough edges
Hello Lenovo Community,
i have bought 4 weeks ago a ThinkPad T500 20552CG and a adapted ThinkPad BackPack Carrying Case.Usually i work in the University with the Laptop and i have ever used it carefully and transportated it in the carrying Case. And yesterday i saw that the rough edges have use traces. The magnesium layer is used.I decided to bought a Thinkpad because they have high quality criteria. On the Pictures i have documentated the traces:

It can no't be possible after 4 weeks that the Thinkpad look like i worked with it a long time.I tought with the Bagpack the Thinkpad is protected, however it was not the case!
What do you think about it, is this a case of warranty?
At last i will say that i'm very disapointed because i tought i bought a high quality product!

If you have a warranty they most likely will replace the top. I had a T42p, it became scratched and Lenovo or IBM replaced the top.

After a week using Adobe Reader 10
One of the things I've always enjoyed about Reader is that I never have to think about it. It just works.
When 10 asked me to download it last week I did right away. Now I wish that hadn't been the case.
Can't find a roll-back in my Programs Folder. My experience has been :
First there was a message that I could only use it so many times and then I'd have to pay for it. (Caught a glimpse as I hit OK - not sure of the actual words there!) Today I've been testing another application that opens a pdf from a stored location. Got a strange error message (not found in the forums - only only one found on Google) saying that there is a problem with Adobe Reader and I should close it and start again. ? Closing and restarting was less than successful and I discovered someone had tweeted that exact message.
Fortunately, by combing through these forums I found the answer. Go to Edit > Preferences > General and uncheck the "Enable Protected Mode at Startup" box. There's a warning. Then I closed the program, ended it in Task Manager and retried my other application.

After 2 weeks using ios5 camera roll doesn't work I can't see Photos inside
After updating my iPhone 4 to ios5 first I did was organize photos from the camera roll in differents folders. These folders disappears automaticly after some days and now everytime I try to see a photo from the camera roll or from the camera after take photo the app close and return to the main screen.
Your Camera Roll is corrupted. I don't know why or how, but if you can't delete any photos from it and it doesn't import photos via the cable about the only thing you can do is restore the phone.

I bought my iphone on 23 June 2011, a week after the warranty period, I noticed that, each time I am on line or using it's software, the screen just disappear and offline just like that, and I had to re-start my iphone.
I have been facing this problem numeral times and not sure what is wrong with it.
Went back to Celcom to report, they asked me to deposit to their technical department and to come back after 2 weeks. (2 weeks) is way too long to wait.

Few mothes ago I registered my Apple ID.Payment method chose credit card VISA. It allowed me to make purchases and download apps. But after 2 weeks it said that my payment method was declined and I have to register and pay 1$ once again. So I registered one more time with the same credit card, made several downloads and purchases and after 2-3 weeks the situation was the same. My payment method was declined. What is the reason?

File Server/AFP gets slow after a week or so
Hi all,
I manage a file server at our office here, with around 20-30 users, running 10.3.9 server. Users connect via AFP for general office duties, but also remote-desktop into a windows server using Rdesktop via X11. They use SMB to access their files from the windows side.
I find after a week or so that logins to the shares, and general file access gets incredibly slow, and grinds to a halt eventually, but comes good after the server is rebooted.
It is usually quick to authenticate in any case, but takes an age to bring up the list of shares that the users can pick from (probably 10-15 at most depending on their permissions). Even after a fresh reboot it takes about 10 seconds to bring up the list of shares to pick from. Is there any way to fix this?
I find that is someone has their computer set to calculate folder sizes on a server drive/share it can make the server grind to a standstill, but even with everyone set up correctly it still goes slowly all by itself after a few days/weeks of running. Logging in via Remote Desktop becomes slow at this point too.
I've tried some of the tips in this thread below with only limited success.

Hi all.
My headphones are new form apple as they came with the phone. They have been good for the few times i have used them but out of the blue after about a weeks use they have stopped allowing me to skip forwrd or backwards???????? I am still able to pause and use my mic for Siri so im a little bit confused as to what the problem can be.. Is there anyone out there who knows what the problem might be or how to fix it??
Thanks.Go to the settings in your Jeep, "forget" the iPhone. And on the iPhone "forget" the jeep. Then put the Jeep in Pairing Mode and tap Settings/BlueTooth on the phone and pair them anew (which sounds less confusing than "repair them").

Podcast not showing up in itunes search after 1 week
i submitted my podcast with one episode and it was accepted on 17 july. i am able to get to it in the itunes store by using the url as provided in the email.

i have put an icon with that url in my blog (meterdown.wordpress.com) and that works fine. people are taken to the podcast in the itunes store and can subscribe.
however when i search the store, my podcast is not turning up either by podcast name (meter down) or by author/artist name (kabi) or by keyword (taxi, bombay, hindi).
I can ping using the podcast ID (id=nnn) and it returns the podcast feed url (http://feeds.feedburner.com/meterdown) and the podcast ID.
it doesn't list an episode however. is it supposed to?
my main question is "why am i not showing up in the search?"
is there something wrong in my xml? I host at switchpod and run it thru feedburner and I use the feedburner feed.
i have read and read the forums here, feedburner, podcast alley and also am emailing switchpod support. still can't figure it out.

Thanks for the information. What you mention is boilerplate that is automatically sent when a new podcast is approved. I also quoted it like scripture before diving deeper into researching this issue.
The research into this problem suggests that there is a minimum number of podcasts in order to be included in the search index (or at least the search results) whether it's undocumented or unintentional.
Case in point, Meter Down posted his first complaint that his podcast hadn't shown up in the search even after a week (far outside the 24-48 hours you mention and that is documented)..that was a week ago. A total of at least two weeks that his podcast could not be found by searching by the exact title. His podcast showed up search within a day after adding his second episode (yesterday).
Jerry Pine posted July 17 that his podcast "Everything Algae" had been approved July 13 but couldn't be found by searching...even by name. July 28th, he added a second episode as a test...and his podcast became searchable.
There are several others who went for days or weeks without being listed in search results by even searching for their exact podcast title...common trait between all of them was that they only had one episode. They added a second episode and within the day they show up in search results.
There are others that had newly submitted podcasts whose podcasts showed up within the 24-48 hours timeframe...but they had at least two episodes.
I'm just providing the facts...could be coincidence that they just happened to be searchable just after posting a second episode.
I'd invite you to read through and share with the iTunes podcast developers the several thread from various people who have reported problems with having a searchable podcasts and draw your own conclusions.

So as I said in the title, I purchased my new Macbook Pro retina display OS X 10.7.4 in June 2012 and recieved in early July. Shortly after I started using the laptop, it began randomly restarting itself. It does this about once a week while I am just using the laptop for normal internet browsing. I haven't downloaded any outside software that the system could be rejecting and it is fully charged. Any ideas on why this is happening or how to fix it?
Also this is a total random question, but there is a residue on my laptop that is faint but randomly shows up. I'm almost positive that it is nothing on my hands or where I place the laptop. I wasn't sure if it was something possibly coming from the side vents. Since then, my phone crashes 2-3 times a day, it has a hard time find the cell networks (no 3G and says no network often), and eats up a fully charged battery overnight searching for connections. Fixing my phone is now my number one use of my free time! AT&T store says I should just upgrade my phone. This a software issue! I upgraded to iOS5.01 and it seems to be no different.
My wife had similar issues with her iPhone3G and iOS4. We made 3 trips to the Apple Store to do a deep recovery to bring it back to life. They told us it was a hardware issue and we needed to buy a new phone. iOS4.1 fixed all the problems and the phone worked great.
I guess I am in for the same ride And will hope iOS5.1 fixes my issues. Apple PLEASE HELP!!!!! -
Flex 3 :How to use trace for printing data in console

I heard that we can use trace to print data on to Flex Builder 3 console . But when i tries it was of no luck .

Make a break point at trace line and debug the application There u can find the message u typed in console.. trace works only under debugging mode... not in development mode ..

Can I stop my calendar deleting after 6 weeks
After 6 weeks my calendar information is deleted which is annoying as I need to look back when I have called on clients, does anyone know how to extend the time?
if you have a monthly subscription, that should be ok, but you can use adobe programs free for 1 month so i'm not sure that makes sense.,

Texts in threads disappear after a week
I just upgraded a few weeks ago to Iphone 5 so forgive if this has been answered 100 times. What happened to the load earlier messages option? All of my texts in every thread dissapear after a week. I dont keep all threads but sometimes I need to. Its happening in both imessage and text. I dont see anything in settings that allows me to lengthen that time period. Thanks

Back up all data. That means you know you can restore the Mail database, no matter what happens.
Triple-click the text on the line below to select it:
~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData/Envelope Index
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C). In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar. Paste into the box that opens (command-V), then press return.
A Finder window will open with a file selected. Move the selected file to the Desktop, leaving the window open. Other files in the folder may have names that begin with "Envelope Index". Move those files, if any, to the Trash. Relaunch Mail. It should prompt you to re-import your messages. You may get a warning that the index is corrupt and that Mail has to quit. Click OK.
Test. If Mail now works as expected, you can delete the file you moved to the Desktop. If you get a warning that the file is in use when you try to empty the Trash, log out and log back in.
