T500 and 4GB 1rx8 DDR3 1333 SO compatible?
I bought a 4GB 1rx8 DDR3 1333 SO Transcend RAM for my T500. Thought it would fit but on restart the laptop just beeps. Replaced with the old 2x1GB and worked fine..
Hi Thorsten,
Welcome to Lenovo Community!
I’m sorry to hear that you are facing the issue memory on ThinkPad T500.
The memory bus speed is not compatible with the system, as ThinkPad T500 will support maximum bus speed is 1067 MHz SO DIMM, hence I suggest you to replace the 4GB 1rx8 DDR3 1333 SO DIMM Transcend RAM to 4GB 1rx8 DDR3 1067 Mhz.
Please Click here to get the complete details of hardware.
Hope this helps!

P45D3 Platinum And G.Skill 4GB Dual Kit DDR3-1333 F3-10666C FREEZE!? HELP!
Hi there!
First sorry bout my bad english!
I bought yesterday the new p45d3 platinum mainboard and g.skill 4GB Dual Kit DDR3-1333 F3-10666C memory and i have this same problem that seems to be popular. The Bios works fine, but when installing xp sp3 from cd it always freezes in 6%. Every single time. Have tried to clear cmos and run the system with minimum hw in it but every time same problem.
Just when i changed from Abit to MSI i counter this same prob than with abit while ago.
If someone could be so gentle and help me out with this, thank you so much!
yours
AnttiFirst of all, what is your current BIOS-Version. It should be displayed on the POST screen:

Remove one of the two modules, clear CMOS with main A/C power cable removed from PSU, load "Optimized Defaults" in BIOS and set the following BIOS Option:
- Spread Spectrum = Disabled
- FSB/DRAM Rato -> 1:1.6 [=DDR3-1066]
- Memory Voltage/DRAM-Voltage = ~1.57V

MSI P45-C51 (Problems With 4GB DDR3 1333)
Hello,
I have a problem with my motherboard P45-C51.
According to test reports, this motherboard supports 4GB DDR3 modules (1333).
msi.com/file/test_report/TR10_1836.pdf
Data specifically are:
Model: Kingston KVR1333D3N9/4G
Size: 4GB
2 DIMMs: V
4 DIMMs: V
R.S.T: OK
In the absence of stock the store, I bought a similar one:
Fury HiperX DDR 3 1333 (HX313C9F/4)
however, the motherboard does not recognize the memory (when I turn on the computer, 3 beeps sound and restarts, return to ring 3 times and then restarts and so on)
With 2 GB DDR3 1333 DIMM working properly.
I have last Bios v5.7
I found an online store the specified memory for my motherboard (Kingston KVR1333D3N9/4G) but want to be 100% sure it worked properly before buying.
Thnks.hi,
With Fury HiperX DDR 3 1333 (HX313C9F / 4) i deleted the CMOS but I did not recognize. After much searching, I concluded that the problem could come from the distribution of the chips.
The Kingston (Fury HiperX DDR3 - 1333 - HX313C9F/4) memory have 512Mbx8 Chips (single-sided)
The G.Skill Ripjaws (F3-10666CL7D-8GBRH) memory have 256Mbx16 Chips (in two sided)
With G.Skill The mbo detect the memory and boot normally. No necesary delete CMOS.
The only problem is latency, latency detects and configures it is nine. However, changing the latency in the BIOS manually to seven working properly.
Thnks. -
Hello all,
I have a question about getting DDR3 to run-loading into WinXPsp2. I Just bought some Patriot DDR3 1333 memory 1.5v 9-9-9-24 Model# PDC32G133ELK
My computer post to bios just fine, which shows 2gb DDR3 1333, but my system hangs and freezes when loading into WinXPsp2. I have tried manually making sure the memory voltage is at 1.5v, and manually changing the timing to the RAM specs for this set of DDR3. I have also tried using the default "auto" voltage and timings and the sytstem hangs and freezes while loading WinXP every time. Any ideas or suggestions?
I'm pretty frustrated that nothing I've tried has worked so far, so any advice is welcome. Thanks in advance.Quote from: rlb9682
I Just bought some Patriot DDR3 1333 memory 1.5v 9-9-9-24 Model# PDC32G133ELK
That looks like a real DDR3-1333
However, most of the Patriot DDR3-1333 are overvoltaged DDR3-1066.
Try to test their stability at 7-7-7-21 and 1.7V
good luck -

T500 and ddr2 RAM??
My T500 comes with DDR3 RAM, of which I have 4 GB in the T500 with a 64-bit Vista.
DDR3 is super-expen$ive in 4GB sticks compared to 2GB sticks.
Is it possible if one ever needed to do so to use DDR2 RAM in a T500 which normally uses DDR3 RAM??
I don't think so...but I am inquiring anyway.
Thank you, TomYou can't use DDR2 in a DDR3 ram slot, so the answer is no.

OCZ DDR3 1333 4gbkit PC3-10666 Reaper on MSI x48c platinum
Hi to all,
i have recently bought this pc and having some problems with it.
here is the specs:
-msi x48c platinum (bios v.7.4beta previous 7.3)
-intel core 2 q9550
-2x2gb OCZ DDR3 1333 PC3-10666 Reaper
-ati radeon4850 512mb
-seagate 500gb hdd
the problem is that the mobo show me only 1067mhz for the memory instead of 1333mhz
and i have to reset the bios each time i want to turn on my pc otherwise it just wont boot up it crashes and try to boot again but with no luck.
i flashed the mobo with the 7.4 beta bios version but that didnt change a thing...
if any one has any solution that will be great.
Cheers .Quote from: ironbird on 07-January-09, 23:26:25
hey Remus
do you have any other suggestions ?
any thing that might work is welcome
OCZ are well known for their messed up SPD settings and "factory overclocked" memory modules.
On the other hand, ELPIDA is a great chip maker:
Presuming your modules are using ELPIDA chips (OCZ is using Micron and ELPIDA chips mostly),
I don't know if you were lucky (DDR3-1333G) or not (DDR3-1066E).
Both chips can perform DDR3-1066 CAS6.
In any case, first of all you should try to set up the FSB/DRAM ratio in order to make them run at 1200-1266 MHz,
set the timings to 7-7-7-20 and the voltage to 1.75-1.80V
Take care: do not believe what OCZ states.
Any DDR3 voltage above 1.8V is very dangerous for the health of your memory modules and mainboard!
Also keep in mind: in many cases a damaged memory module comes with collateral damage (northbridge).
Obviously, OCZ is not going to pay for your damaged mainboard.
good luck -

EDIT 22/10/09:
Finally came the expected driver, I think it's premature but it works perfectly.
Here the driver (r8192se_pci):
32bits: http://launchpadlibrarian.net/33927923/ … 009.tar.gz
64bits: http://launchpadlibrarian.net/34090326/ … bit.tar.gz
untar; make; make install; reboot and enjoy it
I test it with:
netcfg
standar commands:
ifconfig wlan0 up
iwlist wlan0 scan
iwconfig wlan0 essid MySsid
wpa_supplicant -B -Dwext -i wlan0 -c /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf
dhcpcd wlan0
The first time I compile the module, function correctly, but after scan for available networks I haven't any results.
Recompile and everything worked again
[b]I edit the wiki, pleased read it and help me because my English is a bit basic.
thanks

DDR3-1333 vs DDR3-1600 (i72600) FOR CS5?
Hi again,
Does DDR3-1600 RAM have any significant advatage over DDR3-1333 for CS5?
Ref. INTEL i72600 / Win 7-64bit / No overclocking, or Video editing.
Thanks,
LeighAnything that increases RAM throughput will of course have a positive effect on any and all software applications. Photoshop CS5, especially with complex operations on very large images, can use all the RAM throughput it can get.
How much difference a particular choice will make for your system is entirely dependent on the design of the rest of the system.
It may be effective to seek out forums with others using that same system and ask for their personal experience.

MSI H67MA-E35-B3 not supporting ddr3 1333
Hi,
I recently purchased MSI H67MA-E35-B3 and Intel Pentium G620 processor with Corsair xms3 2x2gb ram kit CMX4GX3M2A1600C9
Ram is not detected as 1333, but it defaults to 1066 in auto settings, if I manually change speed to 1333, pc wont boot and I have to clear cmos.
Enabling XMP in bios displays adjusted dram speed as 1600, but saving and rebooting speed sets back speed to 1066.
I want to run ram at default 1333 speed at least if the board cpu doesnt support 1600.
Also there is some issue with Ps/2 keyboard, its not detected by windows after shutting down pc, some reboots and plugging unplugging keyboards makes it work.Quote

Please take a screenshot of the CPU-Z "SPD" view, upload it somewhere and include the link to the image here for comparison.

Actually, according to Intel specifications, native memory support of this processor is restricted to DDR3-1066:

No word about DDR3-1333 support.

Can I use Samsung DIMM 8GB DDR3-1333 on my Macbook Unibody?
Hi everyone,
Can somebody please help me give me the answer to these questions? I don't have the technical understanding to figure it out myself.
I have a MacBook Unibody (soon to be with Mountain Lion) with the following specification and memory.
1. I want to upgrade my RAM to Western Digital Scorpio Black 320GB, SATA II (WD3200BEKT)
2. I want to upgrade my RAM to Samsung RAM (DIMM 8GB DDR3-1333)
So my question is whether or not my Mac would support this Harddrive & RAM. They're both cheap and have good ratings, some of review mention Macs, but I wanted to be sure.
Plus, if they are any thorough support materials regarding manual migration, references to that would be much appreciated as well!
Best,
GabrielThe ram is not the correct spec. Your MacBook requires
RAM Type: PC3-8500 DDR3 Min. RAM Speed: 1066 MHz
Using incorrect or incompatible ram is only asking for problems.
The hard drive should work fine, but let me ask this....why not really speed things up and move to a SSD? Prices are down and it's a big upgrade over hard drives.

Iphoto 9 and 10.5.8 are not compatible!!
I purchased and installed ilife 9 and have been having issues with it since the beginning. It opens up to a blank box until you open up preferences.. then the events show up but when you click on the thumbnails in events.. the pictures will not open up individually. Also, nothing appears when you click on photos. The library says I have 12.6 gb in it.. but I am unable to open any of the photos or share, print or view. And forget about faces and places, its a bust. I also have tried to transfer photos from my canon g11 and my iphone4 and I am unable. I have tried everything... rebuilding library, clean reinstall, removing plist, etc.. i have paid technicians to come and to no avail... this is not working. I am extremely frustrated and if this version of iphoto is not compatible with my computer.. it should have been known. I know there have to be other people out there besides me with this issue.
Well actually, iPhoto 09 and 10.5.8 are perfectly compatible - millions of people use it the world over - and you have a problem specific to your computer.
As to how Apple "should have known" what’s wrong with your set up, I have no idea. And no, we don;t have floods of people on here reporting this issue.
Let's try a simple test:
Does this work.
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Can you do that?
