T500- Can't set display to max resolution of 1680 x 1050

I bought a T-500 with Windows 7 professonal x64. Max resolution of the screen I can set is 1280x800. But it should have option 1680 x 1050.
Tried via Intel general settings but it says this 1680 x 1050 option already excists, but I have no possibillity to switch to this format.
How can I set this 1680x 1050 resolution?
Hope someone can help.
Thank you.

  • Mac Mini 2014 4k display 60Hz max resolution

    Hello,
I can read in the infos for the new iMac 2014 that is possible to use 2 x 27" Apple Displays over thunderbolt.
My question is, what is the max resolution what you can use with one Display.
Is it possible to use a  Mac Mini with a LG 34UC97  with a resolution 3.440 x 1.440 60Hz with thunderbolt.
The HDMI supports only 30 Hz.
    Thx
    Jayybird

you can be right, not officially, but for now:
"On a late 2013 13" MBP/Retina, using SwitchResX, I was able to get the ASUS PB287Q to drive 4K (1920x1060 pixel-doubled "HiDPI") at 45Hz, rather than the max 30Hz offered through the standard Display Prefs pane.
Here's how: I created a custom resolution by copying the 1920x1060 HiDPI 30Hz, and then set its vertical sync to 45Hz (and rebooted as required by SwitchResX). The 45Hz refresh rate is now available in the Display Prefs control panel, and the ASUS OSD confirms we are operating at 45Hz.
Before getting 45 to work, I also tried 50 - but even after reboot it was marked as "invalid" so I suppose I'm maxed out.
45Hz isn't 60, but it is much better than 30."

  • Can I set the min/max for multiple images at once?

I have brought in my page design from photoshop and I don't want any of the images or text to resize when the web browser window is made smaller.
Is there a way to do this without setting each min & max individually?

I answered my own question in the end, I moved them to the parent background

you are talking about the FHD on the T510, this is slightly different to what the OP is asking.

  • 1680 x 1050 resolution with BenQ FP202w

    Hi,
I am new to Mac computing after having PCs for the last 15yrs.
    I have a G4 powerbook wa/a 15inch display
I have connected up a BenQ 20inch wide screen, and it wont display the native resolution of 1680 x 1050. Its like nearly half the screen in a square box with black around the edges, top and bottom.
Could someone please tell me what I am doing wrong? Cheers!

I was having the same problem with my Powerbook G4 15 in. and new Dell 20 in wide screen monitor. I just found this solution in another Apple discussion thread posted by ArmPitoftheGiant:
"I found a way to do this. Close the screen and put the MacBook to sleep, then wake it using the external keyboard/mouse, and open the screen. The external display stays on, but the built-in LCD stays off and my desktop is not extended to it."
That's assuming you have an external keyboard, mouse or other peripheral device you can use to wake up the laptop. You can then open the screen if you do need use the keyboard or leave it closed if you don't. Don't you love it when the answer is this simple! Thank you, ArmPitoftheGiant!

  • 1680 x 1050 Resolution on MBP 15

New to Mac and loving it.
I have an external display (Dell 2007WFP) with a native resolution of 1680 x 1050 - but that setting is not offered in the display properties. I read one post that said "make sure display all resolutions is checked" however I cannot find that option in any dialogue.
That's the short version - if it makes a difference or if anyone knows a work around the ultimate goal is to use the MBP in clamshell mode running TWO 2007WFP's with a Matrox DualHead2Go - Digital which does support the 1680 x 1050 (x2) resolution.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Thanks Kappy - On connection of the two external monitors the available resolution did present itself in the form of 3360 x 1050 (why I missed it - was looking for 1680 x 1050) With this resolution selected everything looks crisp and runs great.
    One problem...
Once I try to close the lid and run in clamshell mode I get black screens and after I wake the MBP get an "out of Range" message from the monitor.
I'm only posting that last bit here for academia as I think the issue lies in the Matrox hardware and not the Mac.
    Thanks

  • What is the max resolution the MacBook can drive on an external display?

    Hi everyone,
I want to hook my my MacBook up to an external display, and I'm wondering what the max resolution it can drive is.
Is it different depending on whether I'm hooking up to a VGA display via the Mini-DVI to VGA adapter or to a DVI display via the Mini-DVI-DVI-D adapter?
    Thanks!
    Dave

The MacBook can drive an external display at a maximum resolution of 1920 by 1200. More information is available on this page.

  • I have a new macbook pro and an LG w2361v monitor.  The max resolution the mac is allowing me to set is 1400x1050, why can't I get to the max resolution the monitor can accept (1900x1080)

I have a new macbook pro and an LG w2361v monitor.  The max resolution the mac is allowing me to set is 1400x1050, why can't I get to the max resolution the monitor can accept (1900x1080)?  I know that the monitor is able to accept this resolution but It can't seem to find it.  Is it something to do with the new thunderbolt port? or the fact that I'm utilizing the VGA adaptor?  I could go HDMI if that works better.

    Use DVI or HDMI.

  • Macbookpro doesn't recognize max resolution of an external display

    hi
    i have a macbook pro 7.1
    i just bought an external display, LG IPS237L-BN 23 inch Full HD IPS LED Widescreen Monitor (250 cd/m2, 1920 x 1080, 5000000:1, D-sub, HDMI)
my mac doesn't seem to recognize the resolution. after some internet research, it seems to be a common problem, except that all i've seen are some solutions via dvi port. My monitor has only 2 hdmi (from what i can tell, i'm no expert), and some "d-sub", whatever that is.
I've had a small mdp adapter, connecting via hdmi-to-hdmi cable to the monitor, but to no success. I thought it may be the prob with the adapter as i've bought it a while back, so i went and got  a mdp-to-hdmi cable (this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00675Q2UY/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8 &psc=1), but again, the max resolution in display preferences is 1600x900, and all is blurred, while my main purpose is photo and video work.
    Any advice?

    Hi
    did you found the solution?
I have MBP 7.1 too, and just bought an LG 22" FullHD monitor, but i got the same problem.
I can set the resolution to 1920x1080 but the screnn on external display is not like fullHD, and its not as colorful as it can be(I tried the monitor with my windows laptop, and the colors and resolution was ok).
I'm using Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter to connect them.
    Help me if you can!
    Many thanks,

  • Cannot  set display resolution after upgrading to Mavericks

I have early Mac Mini  connected to KVM stitch.  Over the weekend I upgraded to Mavericks and it "dowgraded" display resolution from 1920x1200 to 1600x1200 and everythign looks streached.  1920x1200  no longer shows on the list in display properties (1920x1440 shows but it does not look good on my screen). I googled Option key trick and hitting "Scaled" while hold Option key does show some additional resolutions, but not the one I used to have.
Connecting Mac directly to the monitor allowed me to set proper resolution and after removing monitor and pluging mac back into KVM things "held" untill Mac goes to sleep or until reboots.
I am aware that my KVM switch does not communicate EDID but things did work just fine before upgrade to Mavericks.

    Hello curtdav,
It sounds like you are getting a graphical anomoly when unplugging an external monitor. I recommend these troubleshooting steps from the article named:
Apple computers: Troubleshooting issues with video on internal or external displays
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1573
    Reset the system
You can reset the Mac's parameter RAM and SMC.
    Reset the resolution
Start by resetting the Mac's parameter RAM. If the display does not come up, was previously set to an unsupported resolution, and still results in no video:
    Start up in Safe Mode.
From the Apple () menu, choose System Preferences.
Choose Displays from the View menu to open the preferences pane.
Select any resolution and refresh rate that your display supports.
    Restart your computer.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Take care,
    Sterling

  • Setting higher MAX resolution in CS6: HOW?

    Hi everyone,
I work in an industry where soon our Photoshop TIF files will require super high resolution for our pixel mapping. Though our files are not that big size wise (2x2 inches max), they tend to be between 10,160 and 50,000 DPI, depending on the print format we need to achieve. My question is:
On the current version of CS6, I am not able to import older TIF files with resolutions above 10,000 DPI; they automatically reset to the highest default, 9999.999 DPI. I also am unable to create new files above 9999 DPI. The program says I need to pick an amount between 1 and 9999.999 DPI. We have older machines and versions of CS4/5 that allow us any resolution up to 50,000 DPI, no problem.
Why can't I find any information on how to get my current CS6 version to not only STOP resizing images to 9999.999 DPI, but also how to increase the max resolution allowed? Setting something like this should NOT be this difficult. Did Adobe make CS6 have a high value of 9999? If so, we need to downgrade to an older version because we need this resolution with our newer projects.
Please help me find a setting or way to allow my CS6 to both read and create files at resolutions over 10,000. Thanks.

Might this solution work for you in CS6?
Create a document double the size you need at 5,000 DPI, then reduce by 50% at the end?

I have no idea if this works for you or not.

I don't want to go back to an older version, but I am shocked that this recent version (CS6), has limitations on the resolution offered…
I just want to know why new versions have a max pixel setting…
    LOL !
The best answer I can give you is because that's what Adobe wants.  Period.
"I cannot explain the universe to you, I can only describe it."  That's what my astronomy professor used to say at the ETH just over half a century ago.
My experience in the last three decades is that Adobe will extremely rarely address such a question, if ever.

  • Max resolution I can add in preferences is 4096X2048, but I have a 5K iMac

I would like to be able to add the 5K resolution in preferences, 5120X2880, and then set scaling so I can take advantage of the clarity of the extra resolution when using remote desktop, but it seems the max resolution I can add is 4096X2048.  Is
there a workaround for this, or is there a plan to add support for that resolution?

    Hi,
Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
As per my research, agree with words of peter that still maximum resolution can adjust to 4096 X 2048 and above that is not supported and sorry to say but there is no any workaround to use above.
Thanks for your Support and understanding!

  • Max resolution that can be sent to a projector?

My pea-brain is a tad confused here. I have 1080 HD video footage in Final Cut Pro. I want to embed the HD footage into Apples Keynote presentation program. The presentation will be run on a dual Intel Core 2 Duo 2.8 GHz 4 Gig RAM Macbook Pro.
1920x1080p is 16:9 widescreen HD projection. But the Macbook pro screen resolution choices in the System folder under displays only goes up to 1440 x 900. Is that the max resolution I can get sent to the projector? That would regrettably be less than the source material.

What sort of projector is it, and what sort of connections does it support, ScubaMag? THe resolutions available on the device you are connecting to will depend essentially on its capabilities and how you connect it . (they only show up in "displays" when it is connected).
Your MBP can support resolutions on external devices up to 2560 x 1600, but not many regular projectors are capable of accepting this.

  • 3rd Party Display Resolution Issue - Mid 2011 iMac 27inch Mavericks- iMac wont allow max resolution of Samsung SyncMaster SA850

    Hi Guys,
I just updated my 27 inch iMac to Mavericks and can't get my third party 27inch Samsung screen to run at maximum resolution. Even when using the "Alt" Click and select Scale shortcut I cant display the 2560 x 1440 resolution the screen is capable of.
I've called apple support and they couldn't rectify the issue nor could samsung. I've even tried the monitor in another iMac updated to mavericks and have the same issue.
Im connecting using a mini display port to DVI cable through my thunderbolt port.
My machine is Mid 2011 27inch iMac 3.1ghz core i5 with AMD Radeon HD graphics card upgraded to Mavericks
Monitor is brand new 27 Samsung SyncMaster SA850. I was able to get it to work at max resolution on a Windows 7 PC.
Any help would be appreciated. Thinking of returning the screen, hopefully Samsung will take it back.

The standard > Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter only supports 24" monitor resolutions up to 1920 x 1200.
For a larger monitor you need either a > Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter
or perhaps a simple Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort Cable if your monitor supports DisplayPort input.
