T500 - disable pcdrui.exe and pcdrrealtime.p5x ?

(Laptop is a T500 2082, running XP Pro 32bit)
Question is:
How to disable auto-running (temporarily or permanently):
pcdrui.exe
and
pcdrrealtime.p5x
Sometimes one of these will start by itself, and it slows all other programs to the point of being unusable.
I would prefer to:
(1) be able to choose when they auto-start, (after business hours)
(2) disable the auto-start and start them manually when desired, or
(3) disable/remove them completely

Can't disable CTDetect.exe and CTXFISPI.exe in services or mscon

If anyone knows how to disable thest two useless services, please let me know.
I've tried the routine methods of utilizing startup in msconfig and CTDetect is unchecked, however it still shows up in Task Manager. CTXFISPI does not show up in msconfig startup but is in Task Manager.
I noticed I only had one Creative service allowed in startup and that was VolPanel, I've subsequently disabled that with the thought that perhaps this was being used by Creative to start up the other two processes. It doesn't seem to have any effect by disabling it, as CTDectect and CTXFISPI still show up.
Also, I've disabled Media Source from auto starting upon Windows boot from the tools option in Media Source itself.
At this point, I cannot get the two processes to stop running and I think it's crap I have to put up with the roughly 8,500 K running in the background.
Any help is appreciated.

Thank you for your input, unfortunately that's not the case with these accounts, all the accounts that are stored in this LDAP are OD accounts with OD passwords. These accounts were created using WM directly in the OD machine, and haven't been imported.
The accounts work normally, users can authenticate and work with these with no issues.
The only issue remains that disabling "access account" is not stored.
Further testing shows that changing other settings such as the group, or adding a shortname gets correctly stored.
I wonder which entries should I look for in the logs to find out more about this issue.

Context menu for .exe and .lnk slow becaus of nv3dappshext.dll

I recently made a fresh install of Windows 7 and I'm now noticing that the context menu for .exe and .lnk files opens very slow. With the help of ShellExView it looks like it is caused by C:\Windows\system32\nv3dappshext.dll. If i disable nv3dappshext.dll the
problem goes away. So my first try was to reinstall all Nvidia drivers but that didn't help. I'm now thinking that there is some other file that makes nv3dappshext.dll corrupt.
Is there anyone here that might know what's wrong?

Iexplore.exe and iexplore.exe*32 running together in Task Manager

I have a Windows 7 64bit client and when I kick off IE10 I noticed in Task Manager that both iexplore.exe and iexplore.exe*32 are running at the same time; now I thought that it was add-on or add-ons but after I disabling all of them I still get
the same thing. Could it be a Local Policy in place or maybe an advance setting that I am missing? Not sure where to look now.

That's normal. The 64-bit process is called a "chrome task" and the 32-bit processes are called "tab tasks". You can use WMIC to check them:
wmic.exe Process where Name="iexplore.exe" Get CommandLine, ProcessId
you will notice that they are correlated by SCODEF: being equal to the chrome task's PID.

Error report on win 8.1 about conhost.exe and werfault.exe

I am not sure exactly what is happening, but I have noticed recently a new problem with CONHOST.EXE and werfault.exe each time I was opened application. and I didn't know exactly about was there have relationship with my brightness control
(increase or decrease) than I can't make any change after first time I have noticed about conhost.exe and werfault.exe. and other problem than my laptop more 'slowly' than before, but the console window will remain open fastly enough. (The host process
exists, but I can see an orphaned CONHOST.EXE for the application in Task Manager.)
I hope someone who sees this knows why this is happening, and can help me fix the problem.

Same within Windows 8.
The werfault.exe is used for Windows Error Reporting.
You can go to event viewer to check if there are any error messages.
For this kind of issue, you may also try Clean Boot to see if this problem persists.

You cna do this with the security options in the PDF file itself, which you can set with Adobe Acrobat, assuming you have access to the security options in the first place.

Same problem today. Took five times to reinstall without any error messages. Apple has posted a way to fix and you should follow their's first. I finally got to upldate correctly by doing their fix but with one difference. I did the following:
1) Went to the C:\program files (x86)\iTunes and C:\program files\iTunes folders and moved every file ending in .dll to the desktop (even if two files in same location had the same name, just replace)
2) Restarted computer and still got error message
3) Uninstalled all apple programs possible in the following order......itunes, apples software update, apple mobile device support, bonjour, and apple application support.....all performed using the microsoft control panel
4) put all the .dll files on the desktop in the trash and emptied (this is a step apple support did not specifically put in their fix but for a final try I wanted to delete everything apple).
5) Restarted computer.
6) Re-installed itunes from apple website
No error messages during re-install and was able to open shortcut in one try. Even updated my ipad to make sure everything was working.

Apple disabled my account and disallowed my credit card!

I'm so angry at Apple now that I don't know where to begin. There were unauthorized in app purchases from my account and I contacted a Apple asking for a refund. They first refused blaming me or someone else in my household did the purchases. I wrote back that no one but me knew the itunes password. I got a reply that they would make an exception in my case and refund me and for that I'm happy. But they also said this: "To prevent further purchasing, I have disabled your account and have disallowed your Credit card from being used on the iTunes Store.". Now its not even possible to install free apps on my iphone since I only get a message that my account is disabled. I contacted them again asking how I could get my account back and credit card enabled again. They said that there was nothing they could do, I had to make a phone call to their support to get help. Should I call them? I'm scared they will be just as bad and unhelpful as the mail support. I just want this solved as fast as possible, actually I regret asking for a refund. If I knew this would happen I would rather have paid the unauthorized purchase than have go through this ****.
I really need to get my account back since I have done lots of earlier purchases that I don't want to lose.

After talking to Apple support over phone, they have now enabled my account, but he couldn't do anything about the disallowed credit card. He said that I should contact Apple again by mail to get my credit card unbanned, so that's what I did. This is part of the reply I got from them:

You would need to disable data on the phone itself. You wouldn't do it online on your account.
Note also that text messages do not count toward your data allowance.

ITunes will not shutdown I have to Contrl-Alt-Delete and end itunes.exe and itunes help to get it to shut down and stay closed. I did a system restore and went back to 10.5.1 version and updated to 10.5.3 no dice Windows 7 64 bit

Itunes will not stay close ever since I updated to 10.5.3 version. I try to close program and it pops right back up! The only way to close is open tack manager and stop the itunes.exe and the itunes.help then it will stay close. I did a system restore back to the earlier version of itunes but problem presisted. I finally did the task manager again and downloaded the update to 10.5.3 and this seemed to resolve the problem for awhile but now it is back! Is anybody else experiencing this problem? and where you able to correct it? I'm running Windows 7 64 bit have never had a problem with anything till now. I ran scans of my machine no viruses.

After the update to v10.5.3 iTunes isn't shutting down anymore. I have this error on various Windows versions (XP SP3, Win7 x86, Win7 x64.
On my private Notebook v10.5.2.11 still works! I won't update iTunes there - not even for a test .

Okay ... so it's not one of the cases of bodged up ACLs on the Apple folder in Common Files. (That's been underlying a few of the recalcitrant E7W5s.

Memory leak in oracle.exe and mds.exe

We are facing Memory leak in oue MDM server. Our environment details
are as follows;
MDM 5.5 SP5 ( Build 5.5.41.70)
Oracle 10.2 patch 2
windows server 2003 SP1
XI 7.0 SP 9
If server is running continuously 3-4 days then Nonpaged memory is
getting exausted and server does not respond. Now we have to retart the
windows server manually.
If we see the task manager it is shows more than 200,000 handles for
oracle.exe and more than 100,000 handles for mds.exe.
1: Oracle.exe -- more than 200000 handles ( Approx >5000 is problem)
2: Mds.exe -- more than 100000 handles ( Approx >5000 is problem)
Since these applications are not releasing the handles properly so all
nonpaged memory gets exausted and server stops responding.
If we restart the mdm server, database and OracleserviceMDMD, then
nonpaged memory is released. But some times even if we restart these
services, we do not get nonpaged memory released. So we have to restart
the windows server.
please help me if anyone else have faced the same problem.
