T500 Hibernation- Keeps Hibernating after I restart! Help!!

When I restart after putting my T500 in Hibernation mode, within 5-10 seconds it automatically goes back into hibernation mode. When I restart a second time it works fine. If I was to shut down and restart it works fine.
Any ideas to fix it?

FontBook does not keep settings after computer restart

I have thousands of fonts on my HD folder, and a standards set of System and Library fonts. Any time I disactivate and acivate certain font families, my FontBook keeps these settings (for activation and disactivation) ONLY UNTILL next computer restart cycle.
After restart, when I load my FontBook application to check my fonts settings (for to make the fonts I set previously working again), Fontbook starts activating all my thousands fonts in my custom library, taking munites of waiting for a spinning wheel. I also do not see (off) signs for fonts diactivated during previous session. I see lots of duplicate font warning because Font Book is auto-activate all.
Consiquently, I have to reppeat all the process of activation/disactivation and to help my computer working with less fonts load and resolve duplicates.
So, why Font Book does not keep setting for fonts activation/disactivation in a custom library after computer restart?

What you experienced was a kernel panic. Disconnect all devices from your computer and try the suggestions mentioned in the following:

Firefox (ver.7, ver11) do not keep settings after its restarting

All my settings from menu options>options disappear after restarting FireFox. But primarily it was not so! The complete reinstallation (with uninstallation) do not remove the problem.

Keyboard shortcuts keep vanishing after reboot/restart

Hello,
In System Preferences -> Keyboard&Mouse, my keyboard shortcuts frequently vanish after a reboot/restart. This happens over 60 percent of the time and I have to enter them all over again. Very irritating.. Is this a known bug? And is there any way to really 'save' keyboard shortcuts?

I have the same problem but it only appears to be with one device (iPhone 5). My iPad and Mac seem to be fine. I even tried a hard reset of the iPhone but that did not help.

All evening I have repeatedly had a new tab opened on Firefox and a YouTube video appears entitled: McDonald's: Super Bowl XLIX Pay With Lovin' . I am unable to close the tab (Firefox just freezes up), and it reappears after shutting down the computer and rebooting. I have cleared all history, caches, etc, and nothing seems to help. I don't even know how the YouTube clip arrived initially. I did not request it; it was just there when I got back from dinner.
Any ideas?

Can't login to Mac Pro after every restart

Hi all,
For 5 days I've not been able to log into my computer at work after its been restarted/gone to sleep. The IT guys have had to do all kinds of stuff to get it working again. And every time we think it's fixed, I've come in the next morning and have the same problem, can't login.
I've eliminated that its my login details as I was able to login on another machine just fine. And others can't login to my computer, so it's obviously an issue with my machine/OS.
Does anyone have any ideas of why this would keep happening? It's as if something keeps resetting after each restart that then won't allow anyone else to login. This is all I can think of, but honestly have no idea. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated as its really frustrating and putting me very behind on my work. Thank you!
Btw, it's a Mac Pro duel quad core, 16GB ram, OS 10.6.7 I believe.
Also, the admin and root can login, just not any other accounts. So the computer can be accessed, but not thru my or any other accounts on the network.

Well, I figured out what is causing my problem. It's Mobile accounts. I started fresh with a new install and a standard Active Directory account (not Mobile). I authenticated 20+ times. Rebooted at least 10 times. Everything worked great. Then I decided to create the Mobile account. That's when everything broke again. My Active Directory account was getting locked after one accurate attempt to authenticate. When IT unlocked it I could go one step further but then would lock me out the next time I tried to authenticate. I've replicated this twice.
So for me, it's clearly a Mobile account problem. Which is bad because half of the Macs under my care are notebooks.
Please let me know what you find out on your end.

Computer keeps asking to be restarted after update

Its an old G4 450mz that is running OSX and has been updated regularly with each patch that has come out. For some reason after todays update it keeps wanting to be restarted. The message I get after each restart is that its been updated and needs to be restarted. Every restart gives me the same message. Is there a way out of this ? or a way to revert back to what I had previously ? Not much of tech guy just a mac user

Alis1968, welcome, bootup from the install CD (C key held down) and once the disk mounts (X window) open Disk Utility from the Main Menu under Installer. Choose your drive in the left column then select First Aid, now run the Repair, if it does not repair run it again. Now select the startup volume (with the OS) and run the Repair Permissions, quit Disk Utility.
Now go back up to the Main Menu under Install/Change Startup Disk and select your startup volume then Restart.
Now do a PRAM reset on startup.....
1. Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
2. Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
3. Release the keys.
Your computer's PRAM and the NVRAM are reset to the default values. The clock settings may be reset to a default date on some models.
If this does not solve the issue then take a look here.

Power-cycling or connecting to iTunes didn't fix the issue. However the iPad did restart, trying to install the update but it didn't complete and received a error once again. And now the iPad is stuck on the update screen with the progression bar beneath the apple.

MATE keeps hibernating whenever my laptop starts discharging!

MATE keeps hibernating whenever my laptop charger discharges. It's annoying and I messed around in the mate-power-manager settings yet that still didn't fix anything.
My laptop charger is a little loose so this is more than annoying for me, because it happens constantly.

Are you sure the battery is holding a charge? Sounds like it might be on its way out. Try exiting MATE and see if it stays running on battery for awhile.
You might also take a look at systemd's power settings in /etc/systemd/logind.conf. I had a problem with systemd hibernating my laptop shortly after bootup and it was because the laptop lid was closed. I had to set HandleLidSwitch=ignore in that file to prevent it from happening.
