T500 Problem with video drivers with Vista 32 / 64 bits

Hi,
I tried to reinstall Vista on my T500 (2650-A29), I had Vista 32 bits, and I tried to install Vista 64 bits.
After installing everything, my video card (Radeon HD 3650) has an error with its drivers. Windows can't load the drivers.

After rebooting, there's still an error, I can make it work by uninstalling the drivers for my video card and reloading. It will install drivers, and switch to the ATI video card.
But, if I connect to an external display, I have a blue screen...
Then, if I reboot, my drivers are still erroneous... And Windows still can't load the drivers.
I retried to reinstall all my system, this time I used the ThinkVantage System Update for installing everything. But I still get the same error and windows can't load the drivers.
Then, I retried to reinstall all my system but with Vista 32 bits, thinking it was an issue with 64 bits, but I am now under Vista 32bits, and my video card drivers still can't load!
I don't know what else to do...

You said, "the 4 also has signal and wifi whereas the 5 has only wifi". By "signal", I'm assuing that you mean cellular signal. If so, that means your iPhone 4 is still active on your cellular number and your iPhone 5 is not. Contact your carrier to sort out which phone is active on your account.

Music plays with snarks on Win Vista 64 bit

I have Iphone 4 and Win Vista 64 bit. The problem is when I copy any music to my device from Itunes it starts playing not from the start but approximately from ten second. After some time it comes to the start and than track plays with crashes, like on an old vynil record. I`ve thought it`s something with my Iphone but tried to copy music from Itunes on Win 7 32 bit and it went off well. Is it a bug with Itunes64 or maybe I`ve missed some settings?

As a matter of fact, yes, I just the other day installed PSE2 on my new
Vista 64 bit machine and it installed without any complaints and now works
like a charm. I had seen several posts where folks reported assorted
problems doing so, but none here. It may be a matter of memory? I have 6
GB and a quad core processor.

Boot Camp - Lion / Mountain Lion latest video drivers Win 7 64-bit

I've been running Boot Camp on my late 2008 Mac Pro w/ OS X Lion and Windows 7 64-bit for some time now, no probs. Two years ago I installed the Apple version of the Nvidia GT 120 video card...has been working like a charm. Currently all latest OS updates are applied.
At issue: I'm trying to get a new plug-in for After Effects to install and it requires a more up-to-date video driver than the circa 2010 driver installed w/ Boot Camp (Leopard?). When I upgraded to Lion, I assumed all latest drivers would be installed in Boot Camp, and I've seen no info on whether Mountain Lion would provide more current video drivers...running 'Update Driver' (just to see what would happen) within Windows 7 yields "You're using the latest driver", which is not actually correct, but may be in the 'Boot Camp ecosystem'.
Are there any ways I can reliably update the video drivers? I know the retail/Nvidia latest is "296.10" from March, 2012...but likely that won't install or work properly in a Boot Camp setup (or am I wrong?).
Any info/ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You had to have used BCA, downloaded and then run the setup - you can even just navigate to, find Nvidia driver folder and check the Details of that. Or why bother, the real driver is Nvidia anyway.

Also, most every Mac Pro owner has needed to manually download and install RealTek driver too for audio out the back ports.
Go to www.realtek.com though instead of using MediaFire - they have started causing a lot of pop-unders and other adware that I find disgusting and questionable, even if the site and service needs "ad dollars" popups were something users ran from and why we (try) using and turning off all those things they manage to find ways around. And the malware/adware and SQL-injection schemes are still with us. So watch for and personally avoid MediaFire - might be paranoid but then I consider it reasonable caution.

Problem with video capture with Blackmagic Intensity Pro card

I have just installed a blackmagic Intensity Pro card to download analogue VCR tapes to DVD. I have set all the input parameters to the Blackmagic card in both Premiere and the input routine for the card. I am using the breakout cable for NTSC input with the green Y input for the video and the L & R audio inputs. When I try to capture I get snow in the premiere capture window, but it does record the L & R audio. When I stop the tape deck I momentarily get the blue screen with STOP showing and then back to snow. I am hoping it is just a setting somewhere but where????

Problem syncing video capture with audio sountrack

Hi,
I'm a drummer. I'm trying to use iMovie to record a video of me drumming to a pre-recorded song. I want the final video to be me drumming with mixed audio of both my drumming and the original soundtrack. I'm recording the video using iMovie's import from FaceTime (ie. straight from my MacBook Air) and then adding the song that I played along with as an additinal audio track from iTunes, and syncing.
This is where I hit a problem, and it's driving me nuts. When I sync the iTunes song into my iMovie project I use waveform view to line it up so start of the song is perfectly in sync with the start of the video of my drumming. That works fine. But then gradually over the course of the video the song track goes out of sync with the video/audio of me playing, and by the end of a 6 minute song there's a very noticable gap, which both looks and sounds terrible.
This is very strange since it's the same audio track I was playing along to! In real-time when recording I was obviously in sync with the music, but then when adding it back to the recording it somehow no longer lines up.
Does anybody know why this is happening and how I can resolve it? Is this a frame-rate issue?
It seems to me this shouldn't be so hard to do what I'm trying to do ...

I've been dealing with this sync problem tonight as well and here's what I found that worked.
I noticed that the audio sync was fine when I viewed in Quicktime 7, but not in iMovie. I also noticed there was a small indicator on the clips in iMovie notating that the source clips were in 17 fps, not 30 fps. This is odd because I recorded the clips using the FaceTime HD camera right into iMovie and it never gave me the option for framerate on the recording. Viewing the source video in Finder I also realized that the codec for the source was Photo Jpeg... yuck. Who's choice was that.
Using MPEG Streamclip (free video converter) I converted the source video clip to a Quicktime .mov at 30 fps and using the Apple Intermediate Codec and all the audio sync issues were fixed. Didn't have to optimize, detach, or - most importantly - re-edit anything. Apple's editing systems love Apple Intermediate Codec (AIC), I don't know why they don't import in this codec by default.

Problem with version 8 and Vista 64 bit?

Hi. I have just bought a new PC and seem to be having a problem. When I start iTunes I get this message
"Warning. The registry settings used by iTunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall iTunes"

Did you download the 64 bit version of iTunes? It should download automatically, but it might not.
If you have the right version of the installer you should have 64 in the name IIRC it is called iTunes64setup.exe.
This the same as 32 bit iTunes but it includes the 64 bit drivers for burning and the iphone.
If you got the wrong installer, there is a link to the 64 bit installer on the download page but it is not obvious. The link is in the box lower left under "Windows software"

Problem with video display with FinalCut

When I view a media in the canvas window or the viewer window, the image is very dark (very very dark). When I view the same media through quicktime or the finder, the image is clear. What is the cause of this problem???

Viewer and Canvas windows don't show you the true quality of you image, it's just a reference. You need a dedicated monitor.

Can't connect with video chat with AIM pc user.

My friend just recently bought a new pc, and he uses the latest aim for windows. we have tried to video chat but when either one of us sends the invite, the app takes a while and then says either one of us has not accepted the request which isn't true. i haven't done anything to my settings because my video chat works with others, including another friend with a pc, which makes me think it's my friends computer. the odd thing is though he's told me it works with other people he's tried it with. what are things that i can do to help rectify the problem.

AIM on a PC is now at version 6.8
This version is actually still in beta as well.
the Support Pages at AIM only list that AIM 6.5 (the previous version) does not Video chat to iChat.
AIM 6.1 did but is no longer downloadable.
AIM 5.9 is still downloadable for XP users (it does not work in Vista)
Trillian Pro is an option as it has worked since AIM 5.9 (it's a PC App)
Also try Mebeam. This uses Flash in a Web Browser and can create Video Chat rooms for just you and your Buddy.

Portege R700 - Issues with video playback with resolution over 360p

I've got this video playback issue from day one. While for instance on YouTube, videos with resolution above 360p freeze up while the sound is ok.
I've contacted Toshiba through which I got a linke to the latest bios and drivers. After the upgrade issue persists. I sometimes get a green screen while watching flash video as well. I'm guessing this is a graphic card hardware issue. Any ideas? Thanks! (Portege R700 19L, win7 pro 64)

Working with video clips with 5.1 audio

Someone has sent me a video file which has 5.1 audio. I'm going bonkers trying to figure out how to mute individual channels in this file. My final project will be stereo and I may not want the audio from the rear channels in my final mix. I can't figure out what search terms will lead me to the answer in the Premiere help file. Can anyone help me with this one?

You should be able to right click your source file and select Modify->Audio Channels
And then enable or disable channels you'd like to use:
Please note that this can only be done BEFORE use of clip.

HT5409 Working with video files with Mountain Lion is horrible!

This functionality is horrible. You can't import or delete individual files as you could with previous versions of the OS. Does anyone know of a work around?

I guess that's where lots of people have problems moving to a Mac way of doing things.
You want to go to the file and do something with it.
I open an application that is going to help me do something with the content of the file and get the content within the application. The file is just a wrapper around the thing I want to access.
How do you pull 1 clip out with Quicktime?
I might be misunderstanding how you use quicktime player (if you use it at all), but from that link you posted, you open the AVCHD package in the private folder and choose a clip to open. Once open, you can export it to various formats. They are all displayed in a grid. iMovie is the same for importing a clip. I would hope that Premiere has the same import function. Now that we've discussed this more, I don't imagine that is what you were doing at all. You just linked from that article to create a question.
Now, that still leaves deleting the unwanted clips from the card, which I don't have an answer for except that I always do that on the camera as I figure it knows what its prefered file format is. The last thing I want to do is mess up the card so that the camera can't read it.

I've heard of audigy but not of a se version but you might want to download kx drivers for it http://kxproject.lugosoft.com/ i downloaded kx drivers for my sound blaster li've 5. and they worked fine with vista.
