T500 speaker broken

Hello,
all of a sudden, this weekend my internal speaker seems to have gone broken.
I don't know what happened, I just realized my sound broke when watching some youtube and NBA videos. It seems when being on the lowest volume level the sound is alright. When setting the volume up, it screetches and cranks, sounding like back coupling. System restore doesn't work for some reason. It's really annoying not being able to use the speaker anymore.
I mounted the sound output to my amplifier and it works perfectly. However, I want to be able to use the speaker which seems to be broken.
Does anyone know this?
How do I go from here? I purchased it 3 months ago and I need my ThinkPad as it is my working place. But I can't leave my ThinkPad that way... it's not what I paid so much money for...

I found out, that my microphone or some building block of my sound card must be broken. I turned off the microphone via Windows XP sound panel and all of a sudden all was back to normal. I this realized this when listening to some output, my keyboard typing was transmitted over my speakers! So I figured, there must be something wrong with my microphone. They seem to be linked. I knocked on my T500 plastic left and right of the touchpad and that got transmitted through the speakers, too. It's really really strange. This explains the back coupling.
Since I don't need my microphone for anything right now, I can live with it currently. Although the hardware remains broken nontheless. I might have to send in my T500 later this year, I can't afford to miss it right now...
Technically, can anyone explain what might be broken when the microphone's input gets output to the speaker/s?

Both of those problems will be covered by Warranty. Make appointment with Apple Genius who can make this determination and replace the iPhone.

I bought a pre owned phone from verizon. It has a speaker problem. I want to exchange it. But whenever I call customer care. I am going in rounds wasting my time. what is the process to exchange if there is manufacturer defect.
This is more like a previous user defect. My provisos experience with verizon was bad. E.g I bought a prepaid phone from verizon. They ask me to return my device within 14 days + give $35 if I don't like it. On top of that, I have to forgo the pending balance on my prepaid card. Should have learnt the lesson first time itself.
This is more frustration with Verizon.

The speaker has a dent on it. I lost hope with Verizon and refunded it. So much for certified pre paid.
Didn't know I am running into another monster. Just to ask the status of my refund, I am hopping from department to department for more than 40 mins. Every hop takes at least 5 mins of holding. See screenshot below. I can see the agents asking me order number, location number, yet still not able to locate my order. I pity them, they don't have a reliable IT application to rely upon.
Why is there so many departments? Refund dept doesn't know about the account status, account team do not know about the refund status. They are not willing to wait and even hear what I am saying, they are just happy in sending me to another dept. Classical support team reaction to a problem they don't have tools to handle.
Finally reached refund dept who don't see my return yet. I gave my tracking number <<removed>>. Yet after 10 business days, I haven't still received a refund and nobody knows what happened. I have to call after a few days to check my status. One more hour is going to be wasted in my day for a phone that I didn't use. Reference number <<removed>>.
I did learn a lesson. Never to do business with companies like verizon. Hoping to get my refund at least. Anyway my first month prepaid amount is useless now. I am sticking with my current company where it is a breeze in customer care.

IPhone 4s left speaker broken

My iPhone 4s left speaker does not have any sound when I play music. It is still under warranty though. Should I send in to Apple Store?

All iPhones include a single external speaker. The opposite that looks the same is a microphone.

Right side speaker broken

When I don't have any headphones plugged in, the sound appears to only be coming from the left-hand side of the macbook. Not sure if this means that there's only a speaker on the left-hand side, or that the right hand side speaker is not working.

go into system preferences and sounds and verify the balance of your speakers
if even, reset NVRAM
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.

I bought my iPhone from someone I know, but now the speaker doesn't work/is really quiet (for phone calls etc) unless its on loudspeaker, would I be able to go to an apple store to get it fixed even though I won't have a receipt etc?

Apple doesn't fix phones. If there's no sign of tampering, you can purchase an out of warranty exchange for $149

IPhone 4S Speaker broken

Hello Guys,
I have an iPhone 4S 32GB Black and suddenly it looses its speaker sound a while ago. I was playing some games on it and I noticed the sound is distorted and then after that it just lost sound. It was not dropped on water or anything like that. Headphone jack is still working though. Tried cleaning it with cotton buds having no luck. Tried restarting the phone and still no luck. Whenever I blow some air on the SPEAKER it gives some sounds for like a second. Putting the speaker very near on my ear and I can hear a very low sound even if the volume is on max. Im starting to think its loose or something but I am not sure since It just happened without any reason and I only dropped it like twice and its not really that high (1-2 feet).
What should I do with this problem? I just got this phone 6-7 months ago
Could I just send this to an Apple Retail store and have them check it out and replace it? This is my very first Apple product and I am not sure how to get this fixed...

I tried to restore it and for some reason the sound is back but the Speaker is blown out. It can play sound on half volume and the sound quality is stuttering and lots of noise so it is blown out but over half of volume and the sound will be gone, lowering will bring back the distorted sound.
Can I take this to an Apple Retailer and have them fix it or maybe replace it? I tried checking if my iPhone is still on warranty and I think it is. I don't usually use the speaker on this phone and I only use it mostly for alarms sometimes so could this be a manufacturing problem? I got 2 other siblings who got the iPhone 4S the same time as I did and theirs are still working fine even if they use the device a bit more aggressive than I do...

Problem with S750, subwoofer broken

Sorry for my english, I don't know it well...
I have major problem with my speakers system, subwoofer broken, I used them only for year, i heard strange noice while it was working and a bit later it was louder and louder... and now it's broken, who repairs speakers said that it's loud speaker broken, and they can't find same to insert new, so i don't know what to do... Nobody knows who can repair them. I can pay for it becouse warranty extended, if it's possible maybe i can buy new one? But it's too expensi've to buy new full speaker system.

This is not a support forum but rather a user-user interaction place. You can read the Announcement in red a the top of the board if in doubt. You can check with Customer Support with repair option if yours is faulty. By the way, did you mention you have extended warranty? If you did purchase extended warranty from retail vendor, you will need to check with them the extended warranty agreement.

Is there any one in HP that pays any attention to the customer?

I have had numerous PC's and laptops in my work and at home and have bought HP products for the last 20 years, but that is about to change. I recently had an issuewith the sound or lack of it on my PC. I could get sound from CD's but not the internet. I used the support service and now I have no sound after they "helped me" T he PC is one monh out of service and they now want me to pay to correct the problem and yet the guy I was talking to was speaking broken English, it's not going to happen. I have chatted with 10 reps, exclusively from India and although they try to be helpful,but their help is worthless!!! I know it is not a major problem, but they're clueless and their standardized responses don't help. The only good thing I can say is that they're polite, but I 'd rather deal with a jerk if they knew what they were talking about.
Does anyone on here know I can contact someone, to include the CEO, that it is possible to get any action out of?
Let me know if yo do? I was in the market for a laptop for my son and customer sales was as sweet as pie, but no way are they going to get my business after this experience!

N80 volume in music player

hi, ive had my n80 for about 2 months just reciently ive noticed that the volume in music player doesnt sound right.
ie, it sounds very tinny.
ive tried resetting the equaliser and tried other equaliser settings but still the same.
it used to sound alot louder and better quality than this.
compared to my brothers 6280 my n80 is rubbish.
is the speaker broken or is there anymore settings ive missed

If you have checked out the internal settings and they look fine ,then either the songs that you have downloaded have corrupted or the speaker on the handset has failed.
Try downloading some more sounds and if they are sounding the same then i would suggest you book it into a Nokia Repair service Centre for it to be checked out.

Broken Speaker on 8900 HELP!!

I just bought by 8900 from a t-mobile retailer. Unfortunally I, by accident, dropped my phone on my bowl of cereal and it became submerged in MILK!!!..... anyways.. everything works fine on the phone no damage on the lcd.. all keys work... except my speaker.. I can make calls but i cannot hear the other person. I'm currently using my bluetooth headset to make calls...
I took the phone to tmobile unfortunally warranty is void due to "water" damage.. (or milk too) So given that I can repair the phone myself I have looked online and am trying to find a new speaker for my phone. Does anyone know where i can get one?
or at least lead me to a broken blackberry that i can use for spare parts... thanks in advance

Speaker plug in broken

My husband's G4 came to him second hand from a University and has a problem we have been unable to resolve. The computer came with two speakers that are clear acrylic and look like baseballs. The problem is, the speaker plug is broken off inside the computer. We have been unable to remove it. My husband can put a new plug on the end of the speaker wire, but unless we can get the broken piece out of the computer, we won't be able to plug any speakers in. Any suggestions as to how to get the piece out of the computer? Or maybe another suggestion as to how to get sound back? Since the computer thinks there are speakers plugged in, we can't choose internal speakers as an option.

Personally, I'd drill into it, insert an epoxy-coated paper clip, let the glue cure, then pull the plug out to restore the internal speaker function. However, Rodney's suggestions are likely the easiest overall way to go.
The existing speakers are likely to be Apple Pro speakers (scroll down for pics), by the way.
