edit : it cannot be from dust - I remember this happened occasionally even it was brand new
This makes the fourth post to say: CLEAN OUT YOUR FAN.

Hi there, ok so my ipad has been either turning off or just locking itself for sometime now but last night it turned itself off and when i tried to turn it back on it just came up with a blank screen with the back light. When i put it on the charger the sound of it charging happenes but nothing else. I hav tried resetting it but as i am not very savvy with all this stuff i thought i would get some advise before doing anything else. it anyone can help me that would be fantasic
thank youIf a reset doesn't work, try and force iPad into Recovery Mode:
1. Turn off iPad. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, slide to turn off.
2. Connect USB cable to computer
3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
5. Release the Home button
6. Open iTune (make sure you have the newest version of iTune)
7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad -
One of my imported MOV files turns "black" after editing with it for a time and I can't retrieve the images. This has happened three times, only this file. The placeholder is still there. Files are fine on hard drive. What gives? how to stop this? is in final cut pro 10.1.4

Clicking magnets inside of iPad Air after using Smart Cover for some time
I have read that many people experience clicking magnets inside of iPad Air after using Apple Smart Cover for some time.
I experienced the same thing and returned the device to the shop where i bought it, while still having the warranty.
They wrote me after 11 days of having my iPad that it is fixed and i can come for it, i was not yet there.
Please tell me, how can i realize that they warranty serviced my iPad?
I have read that many people get new device with same issue, and mine just got fixed somehow...
It is not Apple Store it is Apple Premium Reseller, was their service OK or they just did not wanted to give me new device?
How can i get to know they were acting correctly?
Thanks for the answerEverything is OK, they gave my whole new iPad Air

T500 turns off after AC Adapter unplug
I recently got this refurbished T500, I went ahead and let it fully charge while it was turned off. After I got the message that it was 100% charged and checked the Battery status, everything seems in good conditions. After 3-5 minutes in Battery use it states I have more than 2 hours of battery life, suddenly it beeps 3 times and shut down automatically.
When I proceed to power it on again, it beeps 3 times but logs into Windows 7 perfectly.
Any comments or suggestions are more than welcome. Thanks!
MonaguilloThe battery is Lenovo, it's refurbished. I tried another battery and it didn't turn off during aprox, 20 minutes which had never happened before.
I discovered another problem though, I tried my battery on my buddy's T60 and it worked with no problems, it didn't shut down in 20 mins. -
I am having trouble connecting to my wireless network. It works when I startup my computer but, after a while it can't seem to find the wireless network. I have an Airport Extreme and the light is green. The only way to remedy this problem is to restart my computer. Mountain Lion isn't that great after all not to mention it distorts some images when scrolling. I am kindly asking for some advice, I assume a major update will be coming soon.
You don't by chance have a "invisible" or "hidden" network enabled on the router?
Because Mac's won't reconnect automatically now to hidden network only upon reboots, it's sort of like advertising the hidden network if you take the computer elsewhere.
Also hidden networks are no deterrent to hackers, they see all.
Also check your time and date, make sure they accurate first, then save that, then make sure it's updated via Apple time servers in your general location (System Preferences > Time and Date) If your being kicked off, your DCHP lease might be expiring too early.

[e540] Windows boots on second time only after being shut down for some time
Hello!
My newly installed windows 8.1 on my new laptop Lenovo ThinkPad E540 I have the unfamous boot problem... ( http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-1773872/boot-time-cpu-led-stays-time-booting-works-fine.htm... )
I've read all the stuff about hybrid shutdown and everything, tried to disable it, played with UEFI boot priority in BIOS, and when finally it seemed like FastBoot IS working, (tried it and everything went well and fast), today, when I turned on my lapop, it started, and after windows intro loading animation, it went black, and I heard like HDD stopped working (everything went silent - just like every time since I started to have this problem)...
AND finally, I'm desperate...
I turned my laptop off and on yesterday, just to test FastBoot, and, as I said, with no problems... but the day after, same thing happened...
So - when I turn it off and start again in short time, it seems to work. But when I shut it down for example in the evening, in the morning it freezes again, have to turn it off by pressing power button and then on again, which works... It is driving me crazy..
IS THERE SOMETHING TO GET IT WORK??Hi @Anotheran ,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion dv5-1104tu Notebook and issues with startup. I recommend to restore the BIOS defaults. You could restore the BIOS with this document selecting the reloading the BIOS default settings. Not rollback. Restore BIOS defaults are needed.
Please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices, as these could cause some issues.
You might want to look at this document on overheating. Which will cause the Notebook to heat up and shut down.
Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant if you need it. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers that might need updating.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.
Please click “Accept as Solution ” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.

This has been going on for some time.
this is getting very frusturating. i've tried everything, even "restoring iPod to factory settings"
I put a CD in that I would like on my iPod, i import it to my iTunes, but then it takes another CD out of my iTunes & off my iPod!
My iPod always has around 50 songs due to this. I don't know why it does that, I have more than 80% of its free space left!
My sister got the new video iPod over the summer, but it didn't work on our computer, thats when this all started.
I've also tried downloading the new version of iTunes, but it won't let me!
I'm getting very irritated, please help.If you are really running Windows 98 you can't be running iTunes.
If you are importing songs from your CD into your iTunes library, syncing them to your iPod, and then deleting them from your iTunes library it will always remove the songs the next time you connect your iPod. If you don't want to do this set up your iPod to manually manage your music and then manually drag songs to your iPod.
To set it to manually manage your music connect it to your computer. In iTunes select your iPod under the Devices section on the frame to the far left of your screen. Move to the right and select the Summary Tab. Scroll down and you will see an Options section. Tick the box for manually manage your music then click Apply.
You will need to manually eject your iPod when you are through dragging songs to it. -
after using it for like 10 minutes it gets really hot
If you think there is a problem with your Device, then take it in to the Apple Store or AASP, and get them to check it for you...

Last night I had to do a hard close on my IPAD. All that is happening, even this morning, is a revolving circle in the middle of my IPAD. What can I do?
I'm not quite sure what you mean about a hard close but if you haven't done this - try it. Hold down on the sleep and the home button at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. See if it restarts now.

My nano starts playing a selection then turns off after one minute
Problem solved for now. Cleanded the jack port with a q-tip and pushed the cable in harder. Seems to be working. Thanks to all others who posted these past suggestions.

MacBook Pro doesnt start. When I start my lap top, it shows the apple and the line uploading but it only goes like to 1/3 and then it goes blank for some seconds, then it turns off by itself and turn on again and happen the same, apple logo, line .. the noise like-fan going on, then turn off and turn on again. Tried starting holding option command P and R key and didnt work either. Starting to think I have lost all my data inside
Try a SMC reset.

for the iphone4, my light is on all the time! the light is supposed to turn off after a few seconds of use. how can i fix this?
If what Allen says does not fix the issue I have seen this as a Hardware issue and I would get into an Apple Store if it is close by

My ipod only goes to the apple screen and freezes then turns off after about a minute. Is this fixable?
Try a system reset. It's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
