T530 Charger Compatibility

Hello all,
My T530 2394-BK4 with an i3-3110M shipped with a 65W adapter (45N0121).
I was looking at purchasing a second power adapter, and had a couple questions?
1. Will a adapter with a higher wattage charge the laptop faster?
2. Which models will work? Is there a list somewhere? If not, I'd like to confirm that either 42T5292 or 40Y7659 will charge.
3. Is there a third party battery somewhere that will be charged by the laptop? I've heard about Thinkpads refusing the charge third party batteries.
Thanks in Advance

1. Yes
2. Basically all FRUs that produce 20V at 4.5A (90W) and have a round plug will work. (Some newer ThinkPads use adapters with a rectangular plug.) The different FRUs distinguish among manufacturers, AC-side plugs (North American, UK, EU, etc.) The two FRUs you listed will work fine.
3. It's not advisable to use third party batteries (or AC adapters for that matter) because they've not built to the same specs as genuine Lenovo. There are many threads here from people who tried to save a few dollars and ended up with dead batteries, dead adapters or worse, dead ThinkPads. In any case I believe newer ThinkPads, including the T530, have special features that reject third party batteries.

  • FM Transmitter/Car Charger Compatibility

Apple Store item description indicates Monster iCarPlay 200 is compatible with 3rd Gen Nano. Purchased...didn't work on my iPOD, but did work on neighbors older gen. iPOD. Talked to Monster Technical and they said iCarPlay 200 was not compatible with 3rd Gen iPOD and that they had no other transmitters that were compatible. Can someone confirm that they have an FM Transmitter/Car Charger that is compatible with a iPOD Nano 8gb 3rd Gen. Obviously, I am a bit reluctant to trust Apple Store descriptions indicating compatibility.
    Thanks Paul

    I recommend this FM Transmitter:

  • Quick Charger Compatibility Question.

I've just ordered a 6300, but i've been told it's shipping without a charger so they're able to fir it through a letterbox or something?
Anyway, i already have a charger i recieved with my Nokia 3120, will this be compatable with the 6300?
Also, are these thrid party chargers on sites like Ebay going to damage my phone? Is there anyway of getting an official 6300 charger?

since you don't have the original charger you can't compare the ratings (voltage, ampere) the best way is go to Nokia & check the chargers compatibilty list!
The phone plug is not a big deal there's adapter available (most cell phone stores) for the old(big tip) and the latter small tip plug!

  • Wall charger compatibility for

I realize there have already been a few posts about chargers already, but I have a spesific compatibility question. I have several chargers for my motorola phone, they are mini usb chargers just like what the Zen uses. I realize that creative cannot/will not verify that this will work as a charger for my zen, but I am afraid to plug it in without someone telling me that it will not distroy my Zen. So I am hoping that someone will post with their experience on this issue, or at the very least could someone point me to the power specifications for a charger that Creative supports for the zen.
    Thank you,
    Bric

The Motorola chargers, if they are the genuine article with the Motorola branding, will usually work on the Creative players, but the Creative chargers will not work on Motorola phones.

  • Wall charger compatibility???

I bought a generic wall charger for my 60gb ipod video.
The output of it is 11v/700mA.The company i bought it from is so horrible , that i want to make sure for myself that this charger is safe to use.
    Will this charger work safely?
It has been an unbelievable hassle to get this figured out.
I almost regret buying from a company that makes compatibility so hard to figure out. Thanks

    Welcome To Apple Discussions!
May I ask which company you purchased the wall charger from?
I purchased my wall charger from Griffin. They make great quality products. I also like DLO.

  • Power charger compatibility with ipod touch 3 gen

I have an ipod classic that came with one of the USB/dock power chargers about 5 years ago.
I had a look at the ipod touch 3rd gen & it apparently isn't compatible with that charger - 1 gen & 2 gen are, but not 3 gen. So is there a charger that will work, or can you get a different USB/dock cable to use for the ipod touch?

There are third-party chargers. Just do a Google search. Or you can buy a charger from Apple's Online Store.

  • Lenovo t530 charger broken please help me

Ok so I'm currently studying abroad and the other day the power cord ripped by the plug and now the wires are exposed. Wrapping it in electrical tape did nothing and now I'm stuck here without a computer to do work on as every time I plug it into an outlet it shuts the circuit breaker down for the whole house. What do I do because the only thing I can think of is buy a new charger which will run me 60 dollars for some reason on lenovos website. please help

    Hi,
do you mean the power cord from the wall outlet to the charger itself? If yes, just purchase this cable, this is standard power cable for your country, costs several bucks.

    Hi bee1,
Thank you for posting and welcome to the Nokia Support Discussions!
Regarding with your concern, we are recommending customers to always use an accessory that would be compatible for their mobile phones. This is for us to keep the phone safe from being damaged when using incompatible products. Please see below for the list of compatible chargers for your phone.
    • AC-10
    • AC-15
    • AC-6
    • DC-10
    • DC-11
    • DC-6
    • DT-600
When it comes to your next question, your phone supports USB charging. There must be no wrong charging it using your laptop as long as you are using the cable that came with the sales package. The phone's battery may also be damaged when using products that is not intended for Nokia devices.
Please let us know if this information helped you. Thanks!

  • Battery and Charger Compatibility

I accidentally made a post in the G4 list instead of G3, so here it is again, if someone can help:
Years ago I needed a new battery for my old 12" 600MHz iBook. When I went to get it that particular battery was out of stock, but there were some in stock for 500MHz iBooks (also 12"). I was told I couldn't use the battery from the 500MHz iBook because each battery for each iBook was unique, and if I put the wrong combo in the battery might explode or catch fire.
Nowadays it looks like several manufacturers (and maybe Apple as well) are offering "generic" replacements, as in "this battery will work with all 12" iBooks from 500MHz to 900MHz...." and "this charger is compatible with < then a long list of iBooks, PowerBooks, etc>"
How compatible are these batteries? I have a 500MHz Dual USB iBook and a 600MHz 16VRAM iBook, and after seeing some of these ads, I decided to go ahead and experiment by swapping the batteries. Even though I was told previously the two were not compatible (they DO have completely different part numbers), they appear to work and charge in one another....The batteries have not exploded causing my house to burn in flames!!
Are a lot of these batteries compatible with one another? Is there a list of what can and cannot be interchanged? I know you can't use a battery for a 14" in a 12" and vice versa, but how about batteries/chargers for the various 12" iBooks?
    Thanks in advance!
Several Apples Mac OS X (10.4.11)

As Niel says, any same-size battery will work in either a G3 or G4 iBook, and, yes, I can confirm that the chargers are interchangeable as well.
Apple's adapter can be found at the online Apple Store here:

  • Charger compatibility

I just bought an used iphone 3G, without charger. I've ordered one, but won't receive it for a week. In the meantime, I have a Sansa branded USB charger that fits. Will I damage the iphone if I try this charger?

I tried the Sansa charger and it did not work. The new chargers that I bought do work now, so am ok.
    Thanks

  • Charger compatibility between newer and older macbooks

I have a Macbook Pro 15'' bought in mid 2011, can i use the old charger of my Macbook Pro bought in 2007 (older generation)?

Standard (non-Retina) 15" and 17" MBP's from 2008 to 2012 and use the 85W MagSafe power brick. Retina 15" 2012 MBP use the newer 85W MagSafe 2 power brick.
So yeah, I believe you're good to go. Just check the wattage on the printed-on specs and that the indicator light works to ensure current flow.

  • Car charger compatability with iphone

will a regular ipod car charger charge the iphone?

I use some Griffin brand car charger, I think, and it works great on the iPod...on the iPhone it is less than par for only one reason...the iPhone doesn't realize it is plugged in but it is still getting charged. It keeps kicking battery life down and down, even to the warnings, but once I unplug it and unlock it, it shows the proper charge. Weird I guess but it still charges it nonetheless.

  • Centro, Treo 700p, T/X charger compatibility

I have a Centro, a Treo 700p and a T/X. The charger cables for these devices all look the same, but are the chargers / adapters themselves interchangeable?
I have a car charger that I originally bought for the 700p and I'm fairly certain I can use it with my Centro because the AC adapters for both devices have an output of 5.2V 1.0A.
The adapter that came with the T/X has an output of 5.2V 0.5A. I'm not sure whether this difference is significant. Should I not use the Centro and Treo adapters to charge the T/X or the T/X adapter to charge the Centro and the Treo?
Thanks in advance for any help.
    This question was solved.

I've used TX and Centro chargers for any Palm device that has the same port - Treos included.
Not to worry, they're all safe to use!

  • Nokia 808 Charger compatibility

Can I charger my Nokia 808 with the original Nokia car charger having an output of 5.V? My nokia battery says its 3.8 V1400A type is BV-4D.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi,
You can use these Car Chargers with your Nokia 808:
    DC-4, DC-6, DC-10, DC-17, DC-20
Those are the ones which are compatible with the device. If the charger that you have is not on the list. We suggest not to try to use the said charger to the phone as it may damage the battery or the phone itself.
    Thanks,

  • IPod won't charge on mobile

My iPod touch 1st gen stopped charging on my mobile charger. It also won't charge on my ihome portable speakers. I was running iOS 5.0 fine for several months and then BAM.. No charge. My iPhone 4 and 1st gen iPad charge fine on the same cables and work on the ihome great. I have restored and updated to ios 5.1 with no success. I can charge off of my pc's USB fine.
    It's not a cable issue.
    Updating has no effect.
There are no settings that effect charging compatibility.
It is a sudden change that happened literally overnight.
The battery, when charged fully has the same run time and functions perfectly.

Try resetting the iPod while it is connected to the computer or the power adapter...
