Hello. On my MacBook Air late 2013 model I am having a problem with Microsoft office word for Mac where the window for the document becomes all gray and I can not see anything that I have typed or any menus for it and also windows will sometimes dissapear and I am having truble getting them back. If anyone has anyideas of what is going on or could even help me thank you.
Glad that helped.
As time goes by (months or years), keep your eyes on how long Microsoft continues to support Office 2011 for Mac. Eventually you should consider Office 365 or Apple's Pages, Numbers, and Keynote. -
After upgrade of my iphone 5s to ios 7.1.2, I am not able to open iphone ikon- Internal Storage-DCIM - in My computer
The folder is shown as empty
I use Window 8.1 loaded on my Macbook air 13" July 2013 model
Should I stop using iphone for photography and use my Canon DSLR
Taking photo is easy with iphone 5s. But retreiving the photo/video
is time consuming and I feel is a waste of time
Any way out?Is your phone unlocked when your importing the pictures.
This sound more like a window 8 issue. -
I have a MacBook Air 2013 Model and Microsoft office 2011. Is this version of Office compatible with my Mac and will it work successfully?
Yes. I ran it successfully on Mountain Lion and had no problems when I upgraded to Mavericks. Be sure to apply the latest software updates.

Glitch at shutdown? Macbook pro retina display late 2013 model
Hi,
I have the late 2013 model of the macbook pro retina display. Since the past few weeks, I've been noticing a glitch at shutdown. This started to happen after my macbook asked me for my keychain password. How can I fix this glitch?
Before the whole keychain password: My mac would take a good 30 seconds to turn off properly. There would be a grey screen for a good 30 minutes.
After the whole keychain password: My mac just shuts off in a second literally but the grey screen doesnt appear. These a glitch. You can see the dock trying to go down at shutdown but because of the glitch it just stays there.
How can I fix this? Should I get it checked out? Please make a Genius Appointment and take it in for service. Ask for the glitch specialist.

i recently bought the macbook pro 15 inch retina display early 2013? should I return it and get the late 2013 model?
You have 14 days exchange
New retina has which yours doesn't -
802ac wifi, very very fast
Haswell cool running processor
Longer batt life
Lightweight form factor
Faster PCIe SSD
Overall a better machine to have yes
Your choice is subjective to your needs however

It appears that only one of my fans are working on my macbook pro with retina display 13 inch late 2013 model. Is some thing wrong? if so how can i fix it?
To my knowledge there is only one fan on all 13" Mac notebooks, Retina or standard screen. Not enough space for a second fan and no Discrete GPU to cool.
So nothing is wrong. -
Fan like noise - Macbook Pro Retina 13 inch - late 2013 model
If I open Frontline Commando (game app) my brandnew Mackbook pro make fan like noise. (annoying and scary) Could anyone advice please?
my sys configuration:
Model - Macbook Pro Retina 13 inch - late 2013 model
RAM - 8 GB
Processor - 2.4 GHz intel core i5
OS - OS X 10.9.1Normal during gaming use, fan noise.
A: you notice it more in a quiet room (the typical case) which is normal, all is AOK
B: fuzz and dust has caked onto the blades causing the fan hub to get off balance and make a buzzing sound.
C: fan rotor is going bad and making a whirring or buzz noise (rare).
D: Fan is spinning up due to excess heat from gaming, heavy graphics gaming (typical, all is OK)
A and D are normal
B and C are not. -

MacBook Pro Retina - LG vs. Samsung 2013 Model
Hi, I was curious as to how to check whether a display was made by LG or Samsung. I've read extensive posts on this matter and everyone seems to say to input the following code unto the Terminal app: ioreg -lw0 | grep \"EDID\" | sed "/[^<]*</s///" | xxd -p -r | strings -6.
However, whenever I input it, nothing shows up. I am not sure if there was a new one that I would need to type in seeing as how the laptop that I am using is part of the new 2013 models. I called AppleCare and they seemed to be oblivious regarding this matter. The customer representative denied any claims, insisted that she had never heard of such things, and went as far as to say that her senior advisors were not aware of the issue either. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I do not want to make a heavy investment on something that might malfunction somewhere down the road. Thanks in advance!Yes, failure is a matter of probabilities. The QC studies manufacturers perform to assess these probabilities have much to do with the length of time they warrant their products, but more importantly assess the likely cost of repairs and losses over a give products expected lifetime. You can adjudge that by looking at the state MTBF stats the company can make available. Still the probabilities follow a normal curve which means some items may last longer than the MTBF and some will not. You are just as likely to get the one as the other - that being the nature of normal curves.
That a lawsuit is going on may have little or nothing to do with your question. Nor would "numerous" returns because what you buy may contain a different display - one unaffected by any problems should there actually be any problems.
Given this I would say you have all the answers to your question you are likely to find except for the MTBF data. That would be found at the display mfgr.'s website. You will need to know the model number of the display. -
I'm wondering how I can tell the differences between the late 2013 model and the early 2013 model of MacBook Pro with 13-inch retina from the box?
You can enter the serial number in the appropriate field on a web site such as this and it will tell you what model it is:

how do you free up disk space on macbook pro 2013 model to upgrade and update software
Freeing Up Space on The Hard Drive
1. See Lion/Mountain Lion/Mavericks' Storage Display.
2. You can remove data from your Home folder except for the /Home/Library/ folder.
3. Visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on freeing up space on your hard drive.
4. Also see Freeing space on your Mac OS X startup disk.
5. See Where did my Disk Space go?.
6. See The Storage Display.
You must Empty the Trash in order to recover the space they occupied on the hard drive.
You should consider replacing the drive with a larger one. Check out OWC for drives, tutorials, and toolkits.
Try using OmniDiskSweeper 1.8 or GrandPerspective to search your drive for large files and where they are located.
