T5400 I cant get the headphones to work on this system

I recently got this system for xmas. I actually have two issues....when i run a speaker test all speakers work, but when i am playing music, i use winamp, the center speaker does not work. I also can not get headphones to work either. Any tips?

you need to go into winamp and go to the output plugins and I forget which one it is but you need to configure the output plugin to enable 5.1 music. When I get home I will check and give you the full where to go and what to do thing.

I had the exact same issue but finally after much reading found that the Advanced Video FX utility must be activated first, then open the Web Cam Center.
On the upper left side just above your image is a Device Selection box. You may not redily recognize it as such.. Click on the down arrow just to the left of the Format tab and select the "Creative WebCam(With Video Effects)". Now try the effects. This did the trick for me. Hope it works for you!

please try updating BIOS and audio driver for your notebook. there are many updates on the beats audio drivers.

You need a computer with iTunes and an internet connection
Try:
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Did you already try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again? You will not lose data, but a reset can cure some glitches.
If this does not work, try to set it up as new device, explained in this article:
How to back up your data and set up as a new device
Don't use the backup afterwards, to rule out a software problem. If the camera is working again, restore from the backup.

I cant get the homesharing to work on my PCs.

I have used this many times in the past and it has always worked fine. As far as I know the only thing that is diffrent is one of the PCs are running Windows 8 now. I have downloaded iTunes again, turned the home sharing off and back on also turned off the firewall nothing seems to make any difference. I had issues the first time i tried this and then was able to get it to work. It worked for a few days then it stopped working again. I am able to use it on the PC running Windows 7 but not on the one running Windows 8. Any suggestions... please?

Cant Get The Remote to Work

no matter what i do i cannot get my remote to work. i've done everything apple tells me to do but it doesn't work. i held menu and the next button for 5 seconds and it still doesnt work. ive even tried to hold menu and play/pause. nothing works.

Do you have access to another Mac with Front Row, or another Apple Remote? This will allow you to ascertain whether it's the remote, or the machine which has the issue.

I have a microphone problem on laptop and also when using my recently purchased Philips SHM3100 Multimedia headset. I have tried to use the Windows Sound Recorder software but my voice is not recognised at all.
I have a Bluetooth Headset configure of which the sound and microphone works perfectly. Has anyone had the same problem, and found a solution?

Recording: SoundMax Digital Audio
I did a Sound Hardware Test and test result was:
Microphone test: "Cannot complete the Sound Harware test as your voice was not detected"
Under Voice Recording, "Advanced" is greyed out.
You mentioned:
"By the way; In the SoundMax control panel you should be sure that in the microphone setup the option called headset was selected and not standard mic!!!!"

I updated to 5.0 beta and the page on the screed is smaller than the previous version and I cant get the zoom to work to increase the text and pictures.

the text and pictures is very small or at leat much smaller than in the prior version and the zoom will not make it bigger.

I'd try starting Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit.

Since upgrading to Firefox 5.0, the screen freezes & have to force quit in order to get the browser to work. This happens every time I try to use it.

Every time I open Firefox, within several minutes, the screen freezes, and the only way I can make it work is to force quit.
