Hi seniors,
I have been asked to hide the unwanted fileds in 0001-Administrator Group,Legal Person.
0002-Initianls,Nick Name,middle Name,Birth Name-.
Can i know what are the possible impact on the flow or maintenance of infotypes.
Can any body put some light on the same.

Fields In IT001, like Administrator Group and Legal Person, it is mainly for reporting and authorization purpose .
Eg :Administrator group required to sort reports according with different administrator group, sending mails - if changes made on PA infotypes mails should be send to PA administrator through dynamic actions etc
and fields in IT002, like Initianls,Nick Name,middle Name,Birth Name also required for some kind of reporting , but if you are working with India Payroll I believe hiding of these fields in IT002 will not harm

IT0302- Additional Actions are maintained, if more than one action need to be updated/maintained on the same calendar date!!
Functional: In any organization different actions (say hiring & termination & Promotion & change of Org unit & etc...) can not be done on the same day
Ex: you can not hire and terminate any employee on the same date, isn't it?
that is the reason we have additional actions for any updations required on the personnel action on the same calendar date.
Technical: It will update your records as per the personnel action you run!!

Accessing remote jcs/jcx controls from page flows

Hi,
Is there a standard way to access remote jcx/jcs controls from page flows ?
If i am correct the call to the dispatcher bean is a remote call , so can we run jcx/jcs controls on a different machine from where jpfs are running.
I am just trying to dig into workshop framework to understand this , any pointers would be of great help.

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, I've tried this and there was no change.
Here's how I tried to implement it:
1. Edited the HTTP Configuration page in the Web Service wizard. Added http://portletserver/portlets/portletfolder/portlet.aspx. I've looked at this a million times to make sure there aren't any typos.
2. Beforehand, I added http://portletserver/portlets/portletfolder/. to the HTTP Configuration page. I thought that would gateway everything in the portlet folder... Is that an incorrect assumption?
3. I also tried to modify the .aspx page by adding a pt:url transformer tag to the target attribute of the form. The portlet works but it is still prompting with the pop up.

Difference in action menu , infotype menu, actions

can somebody tell me difference in these three with screen shots.

Actions - YOu organisation will have certain events which will be performed during the employees life term in that company, such as Hiring, Transfer, promotion etc. These u will configure in PM--> PA --> Customising procedure --> Actions > setup personnel actions. After u configure actions, you will configure the infotype menu, i.e the infotypes you need to maintain for each actions. For eg: for Hiring you wil definitly need IT00, 01, 02 etc..and these infotypes will be executed in a sequence. So you wil create an infogroup and assign these infogroups to actions. PM> PA --> Customising procedure --> Actions --> Define Infogroups. These infogroups will be define in IGMOD.
Infotype Menu - This is what you will configure for PA30. For each tabs such as "Basic Employee data", Contract Data, Planning data, you wil decide what infotypes should be visible under it. Path: PM--> PA -->Customising procedure --> Infotype menu
Action menu - This is the menu which will get displayed in pa40 screen. The actions you configure for your enterprise wil be displayed here.
Note: the reference user group no. which you will maintain for action menu and infotype menu will have to be given in the UGR in User parameter

Infotype 0000 Actions overview problem

Hi mates,
we are upgrading DEV system from 4.6C to 6.0.
After upgrading the system we cannot see data on overview screen on infotype 0000, and on all other ITs we can see data.
Could you tell me what could be the problem with IT0000?

This problem may have two possible reason:
1)IT0302.You may need to check your entries in T529A, as you might have
activated this infotype (0302 additional actions)and therefore all
completed actions saved in infotype 0000 (actions)also need to be logged
in infotype 0302.
if this IT has been activated y mistake then just deactivate it, if not
you will need to running report 'RPUEVSUP'.(please check the documenta-
tion of this report before hand).
2)If you do not use IT 0302, you will need to check your setting in
table T77S0.
If the switch ADMIN EVSUP has value '1' In order to deactivate this
functionality 'Additional actions' again, just set the value for this
swith ADMIN EVSUP back to 'blank' in table T77S0.

SSIS Control and Data Flow Items not available in Customize Toolbox

I cannot add additional Data Flow and Control Flow items to the SSIS Toolbox. I am using SQL Server 2014 and VS 2013 (BIDS). The standard SSIS items appear - but they are all of them. How do I add the additional ones that are not loaded by default. I didn't
have this issue with SQL Server 2012.

John, which ones you do not see? AFAIK nothing has changed regarding how the items get added to SSIS toolbox in SSDT or VS 2013 with SSDT installed (no BIDS in SSIS 2012 and up).

Periodic Journals with impact in flow and balance accounts

Hi
We want to pass Journals in HFM on periodic basis (zero view of adjustments set to periodic). This will enable a journal passed in Month 1 to have impact for all months in YTD terms.
The issue that comes up is as follows:
- There are some Journals which have one leg in Flow and the other leg in Balance type accounts.
- So in subsequent months, we have a proper YTD figure for the FLOW account, but the balance account does not have the impact as required as BALANCE accounts do not carry fr the adjustements frm previous months like FLOW accounts
- This leads to an imbalance in Balance sheet to that extent.
Have ppl faced this issue and how can it be sorted.
To sort this, we have made all adjustements YTD and post recurring journals. But this creates a lot of journals to be posted and isnt an optimum solution.

This means there has to be a a movement created for all balance sheet accounts.
all journals get posted to the movement part in custom giving the closing balance for the GLs from journals.
This closing balance is then added to the normal upload balances to arrive at net total.

Control the transfer of custom infotype in PBA7

Team,
I am facing a issue in Recruitment module. the issue goes as below:
We have a Custom Infotype 9024 (Test Score) which is maintained in PB30 after applicant actions (PB40)are completed. Which means we have not included this (9024)infotype in the Infogroup for applicant hiring. We maintain this IT manually in Tcode PB30.
How ever when we try to transfer the applicant data to the Master data through std tcode PBA7 the custom IT9024 will also get transfered. Now we do not want to transfer this information (IT9024) to PA.
How do I control this from transfering in PBA7?
Note: Right now we do not save during transfer so it does not get transfered. Is there a ways to stop that screen from comming in PBA7 only?
Kindly suggest any possible solutions.

I understand the solution which u suggest is as follows :
We need to go to screen PBA7 --> Go to the System > Status>Program.
We have the screen number 1000.
When we click on the program we have to find the PB0 and implement the changes suggested by you.
How ever we do not find the Screen 2000 and the infotype 9024 in the program.
Are we going in the right direction suggested by u?

Paused for Flow Control but no flow occurring

Our destination database had problems this AM and it was bounced. The capture process on the source went into "Paused for Flow Control" status and never recovered. Here's the process I went through.
1. There was nothing being propagated according to v$propagation_sender.
2. The apply process was running but was not receiving any messages according to v$streams_apply_reader, v$streams_apply_server
3. I stopped and restarted the apply process - no change.
4. I stopped and restarted the capture process and after the dictionary initilization it went back into the paused state.
5. alter logs showed nothing for either database.
6. dbms_propagation_adm.stop_propagation resulted in an ORA-24082
I finally had to run dbms_propagation_adm.stop_propagation with force=>true and restart it for data to start flowing again, albeit slowly.
So the question is - why? Why did I have to forcefully stop the propagation process and restart it when this is all supposed to be seamless? Is this expected behavior that others have run into and the proces you need to perform whenever your destination becomes unavailable for a time period?

I've tried setting up a Streams for schema replication and have run into the "Paused for Flow Control issue". I'm not getting any streams errors so i don't know what's wrong with it.
I'm not that familiar with Streams so i'm not sure where to start to diagnose the problem. I used the Enterprise Manager to set up the streams and tried stopping and restarting the capture process but i'm still getting the "Paused for Flow Control issue". Where is the best place to start to look for a solution?

Pen-pressure control both opacity\flow AND size?

I distinctly remember very early versions of Photoshop (even well before CS, perhaps) in which I could choose a brush that was very valueable to me and that would allow me to control with Wacom pen pressure both the opacity and the size of the stroke. I vaguely remember it had to do with the air-brush icon
I can no longer find such a brush in photoshop.
In all my attempts to play with the options or brush settings, or choosing the `pressure opacity icon` or the `size opacity icon` and all combinations I tried, I caouldn`t find a brush that will allow me to control both, and I remember and know that once it did exist...
In screenshot 1 I show how when choosing opacity pressure control one gets these wonederful soft, cloudy, fluffy, gradient edges but how even if the strokes seems to grow a bit thinner is actually the same width between the two parallel red lines.
In screenshot 2 I show how when choosing size pressure control one ges these pointy sharp edges and not the cloudy gradients of the previous example
In screenshot 3 I attemp[t a simulation - An artificial representation of the look and feel of that brush i`m referring to, long lost to me, that has both soft edges and can still be reduced to a thin line at the same time.

Conroy, the point you bring up is important, thank you.
The fade size and flow stroke would give the exact effect I`m looking for, if it could only be truly controled and did not impose a set and limited effect, in the sense that the stroke cannot be either lengthened, dragged,or modified in any way. It`s mere existence indicates that such an effect is still doable within the photoshop visual language.
If only I could find how to be able to get such an effect for actual drawing...
The loss of this ability spells a great handicap in my ability to use Photoshop.
I think that all I needed in ancient versions was to click the airbrush icon and I would have it, but now clicking this icon seems strangely to yield no visible effect, which is also a tell-tail sign by itself, don`t you think?
I wondoer whether other Wacom users are having the same problem and whether they are not too, suffering tremendously from the inexplicable dissapearance of that ability.
I`m currently using a 12WX Cintiq Wacom tablet, always with the latest drivers.

Calling Service Control from Page Flow

In Workshop for Weblogic Platform v10.0, we have a web service control in a page flow.
Although the web service call succeeds (as evidenced by a TcpMon monitor), the control method always returns null.
I'm guessing that although the call looks synchronous, it's actually behaving asynchronously - returning immediately with null.
Is this perhaps related to the particulars of calling controls from a Page Flow environment? Is it a bug in v10 of Workshop (Eclipse-based?

Strange -- the PageFlowJspFilter adds no-cache headers to the response, so
if you're forwarding to a JSP from the action, then the browser shouldn't be
caching the result. What's in the URL bar in the case where your request is
getting cached?

Impact of enhancing standard infotypes on service pack upgrade

Hi SAP experts,
I have a situation where in we had enhanced standard infotype 14 ( added custom fields to structure CI_P0014) in development systems and moved to production systems. Now these changes should be moved to project system in which the service pack upgrade is in progress. Will it impact the SP upgrade if I move my transports to these systems? Will it overwrite the sp changes for IT14?
P.S : The support pack was not applied to the system in which the std infotype was enhanced.

You should re-apply any customer enhancements etc to your development environment after SP's are applied - But only after you have a developer review potential impacts from SP and your development.
I think you would be fine as IT14 isn't updated often in SP's.

HFM Process Control and Process Flow History

Hi,
When I review the Process Flow History for top parent members of the consolidation, the POV shows <Scenario> <Year> <Period> <Entity> <Entity Currency>. For all other applications and entities, the <Entity Currency> member shows but I've built a new application and the <Entity Currency> shows as "EUR Total" (EUR is one of the currencies) except that EUR is not the default currency of application or the entity's value. Could anyone explain to me why it would show that way or where it could be coming from?
I'm using HFM v11.1.1.3.

at present i managed to stop the background thread - strictly not stopping it, but stop goin into the 'while' loop - once user key in 's'; but then if i key in 'r', the program does nothing. while what i want the system to do is to resume the execution of 'while'. i tried to replace the line A to
_bgThread.signalContinue();
_bgThread.run();and it does re-run, but then i cannot control the thread no more. ie, it doesnt stop upon command 's' anymore.
how can i fix this please, any hints? thanks very much in advance!

when the background thread exits the while loop, the thread stops and exits.
