T6060 center speaker sounding low when connected to Philips DVP3046

Hi, I've Philips DVP 3046 connected with Creative Inspire T6060. I've turned on multichannel output in the player and connected properly with RCA jack too.. The problem is that my center speaker sounds very low and i cannot hear voices properly. The other satellite speakers are sounding good. Please help. Thanks,Firvin

there was a real faulty center speaker, they've aknowledged the problem and they changed the whole system with a brand new one, which works pretty good. SOme things i have noticed comparing the two packages. I am afraid that the first set that i got was some sort of an RMA product that had been fixed, because although the seals were intact, and the inner boxes seemed new, but the small plastic bags that contained the speakers were somehow damaged and the speakers were not that well packed as this new set that i got a few days ago. The thing that i noticed, unfortunately is that i have now the same problem as SMSMASTERS reported, the fluctuation of the volume. It is perceptible, but after a little bit of fine listening. It's definitely there... I frankly am dissapointed in Creative for not being able to make a good solid product. And how could they market a product that, as you can see on this forum, has so many problems and bugs that need to be fixed? I would advise all those who want to buy new products and recently marketed products from creative to wait a little bit more and not haste into it...i think the best speaker set that will be marketed under the name of t6060 would be somewhere in spring or summer of this year, probably the revision B or C series, cause this one really sucks. The speakers are alright, and they sound pretty clear and accurate, and it's probably a problem with the remote, as other people reported on the forum, but it's simply rude and disconsiderate to buyers and especially to Creative fans to release a product with so many bugs that need to be fixed. It's a shame really, and a huge dissapointment. I wonder how you all feel, all of you who posted on this forum about bugs related to your hardware...

  • Why am I getting sound distortion when connecting iPad 2 to amplifier.

    I am getting sound distortion when connecting iPad or iPod thru amplifier using AirPlay or 3.5mm to rca cables. Also the sound has far too much bass. No problems when connected in car.

    It sounds like a mismatched impedence.  What are you connecting to?   the output from the jack is intended for headphones, and is not just an audio out.
    Try turning the volume on the pad way down, and use the gain on your amp, and see if that minimizes the issue.
    There is a pure audio signal for both channels on the 31 pin plug, but you would need a special cable to use it.  I would bet they are available if you google.  Although I have read that the 31 pin signal is not filtered like the headphone output, so while it is a pure audio output, there may be some noise in it that would need to be filtered.
    Try google for a 31 pin cable.  ( the input for the car is probably built to take a signal from a headphone output, while your amp may be expecting a lower power signal)

  • Mac book pro speaker sounds vibrating when volume increases

    mac book pro speaker sounds vibrating when volume increases

    Is there a red light coming from the headphone socket ? If so it's got 'stuck' in Digital Audio mode.
    Try inserting and removing a headphone jack while wigglingit a bit - inside the socket is a small switch that can tell the difference between an analogue plug and a Toslink (digital) one - sounds like the switch is stuck in the wrong position ...

  • Sound Issue when connecting to TV

    I have been using the Apple AV cords to connect my video ipod to my tv with no issue for several month. Last night when I plugged my IPOD into the tv and played a movie, there was video but no sound. It was working fine two days ago. I have played with all of the settings. The video plays fine through my headphones. Has anyone experienced this? Could have my AV cable just died? Nothing has happened in the past two days....any insight?

    Hi JimSmith,
    Thanks for reply.
    TNS entry as below:
    ORCL_DB =
    (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS_LIST = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = 91.198.252.83)(PORT = 1521)) )
    (CONNECT_DATA = (SID = orcl) (SERVER = DEDICATED) ) )
    It works fine if I choose TNS (Network Allias: ORCL_DB).
    For the Basic setting:
    Hostname = 91.198.252.83
    Port = 1521
    SID = orcl
    The error I received when connecting to db based on Basic option is Failure -Io exception: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection.
    Below are the entries of SQLnet.ora. Any entry should I add into sqlnet.ora?
    SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NONE)
    NAMES.DIRECTORY_PATH= (TNSNAMES, EZCONNECT)
    Appreciate your comment.
    Thanks.

  • IPhone speaker volume changes when connected to apple tv

    If anyone has had this problem as well I would be interested but when I first got my iPhone 4S I realized it was loud. After disconnecting from the apple tv my max volume is lower. When I reconnect to the apple tv (by using it to play music from my phone) the my volume is louder again. Is this a bug or just my phone. Lol. And yes my volume is maxed out in both situations. It's almost like the speakers get boosted when connected to a different audio source.

    You would need to connect the speakers to the apple tv if that is where the video is playing.

  • Whats Wrong with my ipod touch 4th gen? The sound works when connected to a speaker or headset but when its just the external speaker it doesnt work at all no sound what so evr PLEASE HELP!!!

    It Won't work what so ever Please Help

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.
    Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
    Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
    All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack or other hardware problem

  • Media Center Keeps playing audio when connected to HDMI

    I have LCD TV connected to may laptop.
    The media center keeps playing audio sound when the HDMI sound output is enable.
    Laptop: CQ35-214TX
    OS: Windows 7

    This is one of the BIGGEST reasons why I would want to take my PC and chuck it into the nearest heavily traveled lane of traffic and watch it get completely destroyed by any vehicle that runs over it then go buy a MAC. The idiocy involved in doing such a simple task is revolting.
    FIrstly, and in no way am I directing my ire at you specifically, I have already performed almost everything you have listed for me to try... PREVIOUS to me posting this cry for help.
    Secondly, I included a screen shot of the sound devices in my first post and indicated that my display driver/device is  Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000. Beyond that, I don't know what you are looking for.
    Thirdly, and most frustrating, the document you told me to "follow every single word of instruction" (which I have previously done) doesn't even tell me to connect the laptop to the TV. It talks about the different kinds of connections but never actually TELLS me to connect the laptop to the TV and WHEN to do it.
    When I connected my laptop to my TV for the first time it never tried to load ANY drivers. HOWEVER, it does show "PANASONIC TV" (the brand of my TV) and the monitor type in the resolution dialog. But it also show no other type of monitor.
    The biggest issue I can see is that there is NO DRIVER LISTED FOR THE HDTV AUDIO in the sound devices. Therefore how could it transmit audio via the HDMI cable since it doesn't seem to even recognize it?
    I am at my wits end. And I have NO INTENTION OF PAYING SOMEONE TO MAKE THIS WORK!!!! There is NO reason why it should not work upon conection of the HDMI cable.
    What the hell is wrong with HP (or any other PC manufacturer - and Microsoft, as well) when the simple task of connecting a laptop to a TV is so complex and convoluted. And, by the way, I am an electrical engineer with multiple degrees... And this doesn't make sense to me!!! For pity's sake, can someone please give me a simple solution to what should be a simple issue??!!

  • Poor sound quality when connected to the TV

    I'm using the Dynex TV connector ( http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7826748&type=product&id=1142295759 733 ) to connect my iPod Classic to the tv and it works - sort of. The picture is great but the audio is poor. I have my iPod audio level set all the way up and the tv on full blast but the sound still comes out barely above a whisper - even on the shows that I have bought through iTunes. Any ideas?

    Hi gugulino1,
    "the network is too busy at the evening"
    The speed drop is caused by the BWdetection iChat tests at launch, probably when idle it is not at full capacity, iChat detects the idle low bw. I wonder if it would help to transfer a file high speed and launch iChat when the fast transfer runs. That bandwidth would be fantastic.
    Yes, the audio has to use less bandwidth in favour of the video when signal is declining. That was a choice. Actually I'm very glad to hear iChat video works on this network. It means that you can iChat in trains and stuff anywhere as long as you have that IP and network presence. No more routers and settings, or a combination of dsl and UMTS would be powerful.
    The network is still very small so I guess it's bandwidth capacity gets"less broad" when more users are starting data intensive net traffick like audio / video streaming. The network has not yet reached the intended coverage and Switserland is not the easiest to cover. So yes, congestion may be very well causing this, since there are not a lot of users yet I do not exclude interference. Sony phones are on 2.4 and they interfere with the Airport.
    This antenna though should overcome this problem, if you can videochat clear and sweet during the day the bandwidth needs a little extra and this antenna device gives just that extra push. For certain it is advisable untill the network is up to speed in Europe.
    Nice to have an early adaptor in the Forum, welcome.

  • Speaker sounds bad when not using headphones

    I wanted to listen to my music on my iPhone so I started to play a song, the first song sounded fine. By the middle of the second song, the quality of the sound got really bad...full of static, almost like I had bad reception. I switched to the headset and it sounds fine.
    I guess the iPod part of the phone wasn't meant to be listened to w/out using a headset?

    I guess the iPod part of the phone wasn't meant to be listened to w/out using a headset?
    Not at all. I do so often without any problems and when listening to music via the speaker at the office, I need to keep the volume fairly low so you may have a defective speaker which is covered under warranty. I also watch movies using the speaker for sound when not in a noisy environment.
    If you live near an Apple Store, I suggest making an appointment to have this checked and if you don't, give AppleCare a call - (800) 694-7466.
    You might try a Reset first by pressing and holding the Home key and Sleep/Wake or On/Off key simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release ignoring the slide to turn off prompt when doing so. This does not affect any data or settings.

  • Does a DAC make a lot of sound difference when connected between an iMac and a good receiver?

    I have one of the better Yamaha receivers plus two Cerwin-Vega bookshelf speakers plus an Infinity sub that sound pretty good playing the AAC(mostly 256) files on my iMac. I've heard that a DAC can really make a difference. Can anyone confirm that and possibly even make a DAC recommendation?

    The DAC manufacturers and, I am sure, enthusiastic audiofiles, will make all kinds of claims that an external DAC makes a huge difference.   I urge some caution however because you would necessarily also have to have high end audio equipment (amp, speakers & wiring) as well as a near-perfect environment (studio, anyone?) in order to hear a meaningful difference just because of the DAC.   It's not just a matter of having a DAC, it's the entire audio setup that makes the difference.
    IMHO if your system is at home and you have a reasonably good amp & speakers, the analog output from your Mac will deliver excellent performance and you would be hard put to discern a difference by putting a DAC in the audio chain.  At least, that's been my experience.
    Also, if your Yamaha amp has optical digital input, you can connect it directly to your Mac's audio out (combined headphone + optical digital output) ... without needing a separate DAC.
