  • Workflows Do Not Start - "Not Supported in Windows Authentication Mode"

I have a publishing site that is using Kerbos authentication.  Everything on the site works fine.
I created a simple workflow in SPD 2013 and published this to the site without any problems.  However when I try to start the workflow with the account of a user who is a member of the site it will not run.  In the browser an alert pop's up
saying "Something went wrong.  To try again, reload the page and then start the workflow again".
In the SharePoint log's I find the following:
SharePoint Server              Workflow Services              aj5oh Exception  System.NotSupportedException: Not supported
in Windows authentication mode.     at Microsoft.SharePoint.IdentityModel.SPIdentityContext.Create(SPUserToken token, Boolean isShareByLinkGuestUser)     at Microsoft.SharePoint.WorkflowServices.WorkflowServiceContextExtensions.GetApplicationUserCredentials(WorkflowServicesContext

This is a dev environment where everthing is setup on a single box, and I registered the workflow service in HTTP mode (which I allowed during the installation of workflow manager).
Any ideas on what the problem might be?
    Thanks,

You haven't changed it to Claims there, you have changed NTLM to Kerberos. I guess your web app was already claims based because in SP 2013 we have to use Powershell to convert classic to claims and not from GUI.
When I click the workflow on a item to start in manually I get the error:
"Something went wrong. To try again, reload the page and then start the workflow"
In ULS I get the not supported exception.
It seems 2013 platform workflows aren't supported in classic mode web applications:
    http://sharepointconnoisseur.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/sharepoint-2013-upgrade-preparation-to.html
But I am not able to publish 2010 mode workflows in the classic web application, SPD 2013 throws error while publishing:
"Unexpected error on server, wf cannot be associated"
So does Infopath while publishing on to a list in that web application:

    Hi,
I have use WebLogic Server Console, tree: Services -> JDBC -> Connection Pools. Then I have choose 'Configure a new JDBC Connection Pool...':
    1.) as 'Database Type:' I have select MySQL (version using com.mysql.jdbc.Driver) -> click 'Continue' button;
    2.) 'Database Name:' = OSS; 'Host Name' = localhost; 'Port' = 3306; 'Database User Name:' = root; -> click 'Continue' button;
3.) 'Driver Classname:' = com.mysql.jdbc.Driver; 'URL:' = jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/OSS; 'Database User Name:' = root; 'Properties:' = user=root -> click to 'Test Driver Configuration' button.
After click on test driver button I get message: JDBC driver is not on the CLASSPATH.
But when I check System variables (in Control Panel -> System) I have set up following:
    CLASSPATH=.;C:\DB2\java\db2java.zip;C:\DB2\java\db2jcc.jar;C:\DB2\java\sqlj.zip;C:\DB2\java\db2jcc_license_cu.jar;C:\DB2\bin;C:\DB2\java\common.jar;C:\DBS\JDBC\db2\db2.jar;C:\DB2\BIN;c:\mysql.jar
The last value is 'c:\mysql.jar' and that's the mysql jdbc driver located on c:\.
I don't understand why weblogic cannot find it.
    Any idea?

  • ADF Faces is not supported on IE running in compatibility mode

    hi
In the blog post "Running ADF Faces applications with IE 9 in IE 8 compatibility mode "
    at https://blogs.oracle.com/jdevotnharvest/entry/running_adf_faces_applications_with_ie_9_in_ie_8_compatibility_mode
Frank Nimphius explains about headers to make IE browsers behave like a previous version (in compatibility mode), but ends with this support information:
    Very Important(!)
ADF Faces is not supported on IE running in compatibility mode. If using ADF Faces on IE in production, make sure IE is configured to run in native mode. Compatibility mode may only be used during development if your IE version is not certified with the JDeveloper version you work with. In production then you need to make sure the IE version matches the JDeveloper certification matrix.Reviewing the Release 1 "Certification and Support Matrix "
    at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/index-091111.html#Browsers
    it currently says
"For Internet Explorer 8 and 9, only Native mode is supported. View Compatibility mode should be disabled. "
But there currently are no hits when searching for "compatibility" in the Release 2 "Certification and Support Matrix "
    at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/jdev11gr2-cert-405181.html#Browsers
    - (q1) ADF Faces is not supported on IE running in compatibility mode, how much of that applies to JDeveloper Release 2 and where has it been documented?

  • SATA: ERROR: Giving up on I/O, Reliance Not Supported on Certain Models?

    Hello All,
I did not want to latch on to a resolved post, but I find the solution a bit under explained. I have a PXI System (8102 Controller, 1078 Low Power Chassis) that encounters the following errors after about 3 days of continuous run time:
SATA: ERROR: Giving up on I/O [0x25] transfer 0
SATA: ERROR: Giving up on I/O [0x35] transfer 0
I have read through this post, seemingly the only other documented instance of this behavior:
    http://forums.ni.com/t5/PXI/SATA-ERROR-Giving-up-on-I-O-0x35-transfer-0/td-p/1992475
    Proof that this is happening:
I am going through the process of reformatting to see if FAT32 will stabilize the system for longer run time; however, I would like to know if there are limitations on the use of Reliance as a RT file system? Are there specific models that are not supported?
The failure modes that indicate this error has occurred are not consistent. I have seen full system crashes when this error occurs, and I have also seen the system in a partially functional state (network communication interacts with my main application; however, the controller cannot be discovered by MAX). Is there any more detailed understanding of this error (and avoiding it), other than 'Something somewhere is corrupt'?
During the troubleshooting process of this issue I have reformatted the system multiple times (though never to FAT32). Is there a fundamental known issue with Reliance or CAR related to this behavior? I will begin FAT32 testing now, but have a few days of testing before I can share results.
Any insights on this issue are greatly appreciated,
    ~Pcorcs

    Hello Patrick,
Reliance system, should be compatible with all PXI systems. This is an odd issue that has been observed a couple of times in the past, a few CAR´s has been created, the service requests I checked, all of them ended up in a RMA process. The only workaround among the CAR´s I found is to disable the RAID option if present in the BIOS, however from a technician perspective I would recommend you to perform the FULL FAT32 formatting process ( not a quick format) in order to detect possible bad sector on the HDD, another option will be get a tool like HDD regenerator, that can check and most of the time, repair bad sectors

  • Feature not supported:  SQLSTATE: HY000

    Hi,
we are currently exploring possibilities to to backup and recovery on the command line without using HANA Studio. Unfortunenatly there seems to be a mismatch between the admin documentation and what's currently implemented. See:
    vhana04:HDB:vh1adm /usr/sap/VH1/HDB00 67> hdbsql -u system -p manager -i 00 "BACKUP CHECK ACCESS BACKUP_ID 1363355380452"
    * 7: feature not supported:  SQLSTATE: HY000
    vhana04:HDB:vh1adm /usr/sap/VH1/HDB00 68> hdbsql -u system -p manager -i 00 "BACKUP LIST DATA UNTIL TIMESTAMP '2013-03-15 14:49:00'"
    * 7: feature not supported:  SQLSTATE: HY000
    vhana04:HDB:vh1adm /usr/sap/VH1/HDB00 51> hdbsql -u system -p manager -i 00 "RECOVER DATABASE UNTIL TIMESTAMP '2013-03-15 14:49:00' USING BACKUP_ID 1363355380452 CHECK ACCESS"
    * 7: feature not supported: Can't recover in online mode SQLSTATE: HY000
Will BACKUP CHECK/LIST be working when the DB is in offline mode? I wasn't able to determine how to get the DB into offline mode but while searching for some hints I came across a posting here that mentions "recoverSys.py" and this seems quite promising. Is that used by the HANA Studio when it does a recovery?
    Kind regards

    Hi,
Let’s come back to your initial question about command line support for recovery purpose. SAP HANA documentation is clear about that. In chapter 13.14.5 of the admin guide you will find the following note:
Note: To recover a SAP HANA database, it is strongly recommended that you use SAP HANA studio. Statements for recovery cannot be executed using the normal SQL clients and should only be used in exceptional circumstances.
So the explained syntax is valid but cannot be executed using a normal SQL client and cannot be executed when the SAP HANA database is in operational state ONLNE. The script you found is the one that is called by the SAP HANA Studio. You are free to choose the recovery statements according to the SQL syntax. You shall not use BACKUP CHECK ACCESS and BACKUP LIST because the result handling is quite difficult. Anyway using the script is not supported by SAP and on your own risk.  SAP will not guarantee that the script will be maintained and compatible to future revisions of SAP HANA database.
Have in mind that SAP will provide a command line tool for SAP HANA database but I cannot give you a scheduled delivery date.
    Kind regards,
    Torsten

It's mostly a sign of inadequate communication between the hardware and software sides of my project, but this threw a major wrench in my gears recently. Hello Jose,
The latest version of NI-Indcom for DeviceNET was released in april, before LV 2012 was released. The upcoming version of the driver should support LV 2012, but until then, we advise our customers to use LV 2011 or earlier.

  • MacBook Mini-DVI to VGA - Samsung 32" LCD - Mode Not Supported

I followed the instructions on Apple's site to use the MacBook with the lid closed and an external LCD. It worked perfectly the first time I tried it. (I believe in 1920 x 1024). It seemed a little hard to read so I changed the Display resolution, then encountered the "Mode Not Supported" on my LCD. I unhooked and used my MacBook to change the settings back, but the MacBook seems to revert to the "Mode Not Supported" resolution when I close the lid. Any suggestions? Can I reset the Display Preferences on my MacBook?

I think this procedure should work, but it requires an external USB keyboard.
    - Shut down the Mac.
    - Have all the following connected:
    - MacBook power supply
    - External display
    - USB keyboard and mouse
    - Open the lid on the MacBook and hit the power button.
    - Immediately close the lid on the MacBook and start holding down the Shift key on the USB keyboard.
    - Release the Shift key once you see the spinning gear on the gray screen on the external display.
The above procedure should cause the Mac to start in Safe mode and hopefully will finish booting into a useable screen. If that is the case, go into Displays preferences and select a known working resolution different from the one the Mac started up in under Safe mode. Now restart normally. Hopefully the newly selected resolution will persist through the normal restart and you will have a working external screen again.

  • Master Data loading got failed: error "Update mode R is not supported by th

    Hello Experts,
I use to load master data for 0Customer_Attr though daily process chain, it was running successfully.
For last 2 days master data loading for 0Customer_Attr got failed and it gives following error message:
"Update mode R is not supported by the extraction API"
Can anyone tell me what is that error for? how to resolve this issue?
    Regards,
    Nirav

    Hi
Update mode R error will come in the below case
You are running a delta (for master data) which afils due to some error. to resolve that error, you make the load red and try to repeat the load.
This time the load will fail with update mode R.
As repeat delta is not supported.
So, now, the only thing you can do is to reinit the delta(as told in above posts) and then you can proceed. The earlier problem has nothing to do with update mode R.
example your fiorst delta failed with replication issue.
only replicating and repeaing will not solve the update mode R.
you will have to do both replication of the data source and re-int for the update mode R.
One more thing I would like to add is.
If the the delat which failed with error the first time(not update mode R), then
you have to do init with data transfer
if it failed without picking any records,
then do init without data transfer.
    Hope this helps

  • ERROR: Update mode C is not supported by the extraction API - R3 11

    Hi gurus,
I just tryed to implement the solution I found at this link:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/d3219af2-0c01-0010-71ac-dbb4356cf4bf
The data source is based on an Infoset on the KONV R/3 Table.
I setted the AIM delta process and I did all the activities as written in the document.
The process works if I load data to bw in "full", with "Init without data transfer" and "delta" mode. Of course if I change a Purchase document, it will be posted in the delta queue and then loaded to bw with the next delta load.
The "initialize delta process" (with data) doesen't work and returns the following error:
Update mode C is not supported by the extraction API
the error code is R3 11.
have you any idea about it???
    Thanks!!!
    Regards!
    Matteo

    Hi,
for me it sounds quite simple. It is that the update mode 'C' get flagged as 'not allowed' for this extractor. Did you check with rsa3? I guess you will get the same error message. May be you can start debugging in rsa3 to find the place where the update mode gets checked.
Anyway, it shouldn't be a issue as you have a workaround. May be you should raise a error message at sap because of this.

  • Mid 2010 Macbook Pro to a Samsung Tv. (Mode not supported)

Hi, I have a macbook pro mid 2010, when connected to an external tv, i get the mirroring option, however when i uncheck the mirroring option (cause i need 2 desktops screen instead of one), my external monitor shows " Mode not supported ". I have a samsung LCD TV. It works perfectly with mirroring option, but I don't want a mirroring option..... Can anyone help?

    I have a MacBook Pro 15 inch early 2011.
The new features available in OS X Yosemite like Continuity, Handoff, etc are not supported in this model.
I did upgrade RAM to avoid any possible slowdown.
I found replacing the HD with SSD is  too expensive for  a 4 years old model.
Replacing the CPU/GPU is not for amateurs.
If you think that rebuilding a Mac part by part is a viable option, please go ahead and rebuild it.

  • Mac mini on a LCD TV which does not support interlace mode

    Dear all,
I am going to buy a new Mac mini and I wish to connect it to a Samsung LCD TV 37A656A1F (serie 6.
The TV manual says that it does not support the interlace mode. I then deduce that it supports progressive mode only.
My question: Does it mean that this LCD TV model cannot be used as a monitor for a Mac mini?
Please give a help to me

All computer monitors are progressive mode displays. Therefore all computers, including the mini, are very comfortable running progressive mode. It is their natural state. It is more a problem when a computer has to run interlace mode in order to support a display. That is when there is trouble. So I think you have nothing to worry about if your Samsung runs in progressive mode.
