T61 leds from battery, power, USB and Ethernet blinking

I've cannot run laptop with and without battery, it's not charging and not power on without battery and on ac. When I plug in into AC thouse leds still blinking but computer don't run?
Know some solution?

Your question is not very clear here. I believe you're having power issues with the unit?
If your laptop can power on with the battery and not with the AC adapter, you may need another AC adapter. If you have a spare AC adapter, try to swap adapters and see if this fixes the problem. Tech support can order one for you if your unit still has warranty coverage.
You may also want to check the yellow AC port (called the DC-in cable) on your unit to make sure that it is not loose. If your AC adapter fits very loosely when it is connected into the AC port, you will need to replace either the DC-in cable internally or replace the systemboard
If you laptop can run off the AC adapter just fine, but loses power the moment you remove the AC adpater with just the battery still in, you will need another battery.
If the battery indicator is always flashing yellow and the battery doesnt charge at maximum capacity, consider replacing the battery.
Hope this helps,
Mark

  • Peep sounds when working from battery power

    Hello
    I bought a new HP DV6-1340 laptop
I hear some strange peep sound from the notebook hardware when its working from battery power.
When working from outlet power there is no peep sound from the hardware.
Maybe its because the battery is new or something there wrong ?
    Thanks in advance for help

I solved it my self. It was OK (no buzz and fuzz) when it was plugged in (when the electicity line was down once and I was running on the UPS battery).....

  • Will an iPhone automatically turn off location services.  If it goes below a certain battery power level, and so how you disable this in settings.

I am working with Georgia DOT and we have created an app to track our state vehicles using IPhone 5. My question is: will an iPhone automatically turn off location services?  If it goes below a certain battery power level, and if so how do you disable this in settings.

I don't believe that this will happen, however, the entire iPhone will shut down when the iPhone reaches the auto-shutdown power level. There is no way to turn that Off other that connecting the iPhone to power.

  • From Battery power to running off the mains.

    Hi guys
Just wondering - when I'm running my iBook off the battery and then decide to run it off the mains again, do I need to shutdown and then turn on the mains and then restart? Or can I just simply have it running off of the battery and then turn on the mains switch when I want to goto mains power?

You can just plug your iBook in whenever it needs to be charged. There's no need to restart/shutdown when switching from battery to power adapter.
    Hope this helps,

  • DV4 Battery Issue - Battery Charges; But Laptop Won't Run From Battery Power

    Greetings,
I have a DV4, and let me tell you - I am so over this laptop. I have had it for over a year, and in that time, the backlight went out 6 months into owning it, the battery died just after the one year mark, and the webcam has been broken since I sent this computer back to HP to have the backlight issue resolved. I will never buy a new HP ever again.
Now, the battery I have replaced in my laptop charges - but, when I unplug the laptop from the wall, the battery power does NOT switch over. I have had this battery a total of two weeks - it was working fine until last night.  Any ideas?
    Thanks!

Hi, SoCal Cal. Take a good hard look at your battery contacts: both the ones on the battery itself and the "prongs" in the PB case that engage with the slotlike contacts on the battery. Are any of them significantly darkened/tarnished? Is there any debris or fluff on or in them? Clean out any foreign matter, then insert and remove the battery at least a dozen times in succession to see whether doing so will wear away any tarnish that may be impairing the necessary electrical connections. There's not really any easy, better way to clean the contacts, at least not the ones in the slots on the batttery itself. Then test again.
It sounds to me as though not all of the battery contacts are making good contact — though some of them obviously are, at least some of the time. Perhaps "working" the contacts this way will improve matters.
I really don't know what's going on with your machine; these are just shots in the dark.

  • Issues between power, usb and airport?

Well, after having my new MacBook Pro for only a couple of weeks, I've come to the conclusion that there are some pretty weird issues between the power manager, usb bus and airport (and from what I've read here, are pretty widespread issues). First, every time I charge the battery, my Logitech MX laser mouse stutters and jumps all over the screen (trackpad works smoothly though). If I turn off airport, the mouse works smoothly again. When the battery is done charging, the mouse will work smoothly again. Second, every now and then (when the mouse isn't connected) the trackpad will start to stutter and jump all over the screen. When this happens, I've noticed that the graphics card is running slowly as well (expose stutters). Both of these issues can then be remedied by one of two actions, either plug something into a usb port, or turn off airport. I am also suffering from the missing first letter issue, which also seems to go away by disabling airport... So, since disabling airport most of the time is not an option, anyone care to take a guess as to how long it will take Apple to come up with a fix to these issues?

TM does not backup to a networked drive in the same way as a directly connected drive. A networked drive requires the creation of a .sparsebundle disc image file that holds the actual backed up files. So when you shift from direct to networked connection TM actually makes a different backup. This is unrelated to the actual type of port connection. So there's really nothing you can do to have TM use one backup for each type of connection used in your situation.

  • Advice to extend range from Time Capsule - wireless and ethernet with Airport Express and Airport Extreme

Current wireless network is Time Capsule (connected to a Cisco router, 1GB switch to servers and printer 1) to Airport Express (wireless) and to Airport Extreme (wireless). Distance means poor signal at the Extreme which has 2 printers (ethernet cables) and an iMac (wireless)
Solution is to connect the Extreme to the Time Capsule via Cat 6 ethernet cable
How do I configure the TC and the Extreme?
I will keep the Express for a wireless extension to the TC

Wired Ethernet from the TC to the AirPort Extreme will result in much better performance.  It sounds as if you are not configuring the AirPort Extreme correctly.
Please try the following steps carefully:
Unplug the Ethernet cable from the AirPort Exteme if it is not already unplugged. With the AirPort Extreme powered on, hold in the reset button on the Extreme for 10 seconds and release. Allow a full minute for the Extreme to restart
Connect the Ethernet cable to the WAN "O" port on the Extreme.
Click the AirPort icon at the top of the Mac's screen and wait a few seconds for a listing of New AirPort Base Station to appear. Just below that, click on AirPort Extreme.
The example below displays an AirPort Express. You will see AirPort Extreme.
AirPort Setup will open up automatically and take a minute to analyze the network, then announce that the Extreme will be configured to extend the Time Capsule network.
Enter a device name that you want to use for the Exterme and click Next
Wait a minute while AirPort Setup configures everything for you. When you see the message of Setup Complete, click Done.
That's it.  Pretty simple.  Things should be working fine now.

  • Hizzing / bad sound when running from battery power (Ups)?:

Why is my computer (Imac) emitting a hizzing sound when running from the UPS (battery)? I am testing a offline UPS type: POWERWARE Eaton Protection Station UPS 500VA 250W. My Imac is suppose to use max 200 watts of electrity (Imac 24 inch. intel 2.8 Ghz, 4 GB memory). When running from AC there is no sound. When testing (pulling out the cord on the UPS the Imac starts emitting a disturbing hizz / sound)???

I solved it my self. It was OK (no buzz and fuzz) when it was plugged in (when the electicity line was down once and I was running on the UPS battery).....

  • Use USB and Ethernet Printers with AP Extreme

I currently have an HP 1210 connected to the USB port of my AP Extreme BS. I want to add an HP 1320n to the network so I can print to either printer. (My BS is connected to a cable modem.) Can I just connect the HP to the LAN port of the BS, or... should I connect the HP to an ethernet hub, connect the LAN port of the BS to the hub and leave the cable modem directly connected to the WAN port of the BS for firewall protection?

For the standard consumer model of the Airport Base Station, you can only connect one printer to the USB port of the Base Station.
On the other hand, there is no practical limit to the number of network printers you can hook up to an ethernet cabled network tied to the LAN port of the Base Station.

  • Battery power, Bluetooth, and Airport all shotdown

There has been a dvd jammed in my superdrive for about a week now and today I decided to get it out. I took off the bottom unibody panel, removed the superdrive, and took the disc out. When I put it all back together I see that my battery is not powering the computer anymore, the bluetooth isnt available and is reads that there is "no airport card installed". All of which were working before I removed and reinstalled the disc drive.
    Any solutions?
I would apprecieate so so much.

power works now, but bluetooth and airport still not functioning at all.

  • E3000 and external HD (USB and Ethernet

I learned my first lesson the hard way.  "Assuming" that because you are purchasing a new router that it will work with other new technology hardware.  Cisco needs to print somewhere in the product descriptions of their router specs that there are size limitations on external harddrives.  I got burned after purchasing a 3TB WD 3.0 USB hard drive that I can not use on my current E3000 or the their latest E4200.  At least support knew that answer fairly fast.  My bad for not taking the time to think I would have to search this website to find the short list of external USB drives that will work with the E3000.
All I wanted to do was store my media files on a shared network drive.  I am cheating the system now and using a shared drive on the main PC.  The whole point of my project is not to have the main PC running to share media.
So before I go scrap this 60 day old router, has anyone had any experience on using WDs My Life 2TB ETHERNET connection external HD?
Does anyone actually have one of these drives installed on a E3000 using win xp pro?  I did search high and low here, but could not find a list of acceptable external Ethernet drives or size limitations.
Burnt once, lesson learned, will not get burnt again.
    Thanks'

  • Not sure if problem is from battery/ power adapter

This morning I tried turning on my laptop, but nothing happened!!
I tried charging it, but the light is green (meaning it is fully charged). The battery indicator light only shows 1 light out of 5. Does this mean that the battery is dead???
    Thanks!!!

The PMU reset is what was done for the Power PC Macs. The SMC reset which you linked to in your post is the correct one to do. They are the same type reset just different names for different Macs. It will not erase any data off your drive.

  • Random power off and screen blinking

I've had my droid for almost a year now and am very happy with it, but recently i've been having a few issues. Today it turned itself off in the middle of a phone call, my fingers were not near any button to cause this, and when I turned it back on I had half a battery. And about a week ago the screen wouldn't even load and stay black causing me to do a restart on it twice. Then the screen starts to rappidly blink and doesn't stop until I've tapped it like 5 times. I've uninstalled old apps i don't use to hopefully take some load off the phone but even at it barest it still messed up.

This may not help, but it won't hurt to try (it shouldn't erase any of your data) ... try a system cache clear:
    Power down phone
Hold volume up/down & power simultaneously
Use volume down to navigate to 'Recovery', use volume up to select
Should see screen with triangle and exclamation point next to an Android
    Press volume up/down simultaneously
Use volume rocker to navigate to 'wipe cache' and use power button to select
Once finished, use volume rocker to navigate to 'reboot system now' and use power button to select

  • Suggestion on 2 or 4 ch portable (battery-power option) mic pre?

    Hi,
I am looking for four channels of mic pres to round out my 16-channel portable setup. My goal is to be able to run the whole system, computer, cards, and audio, from battery power. Right now I have:
    Powerbook G4 1.67
    MOTU Traveler
    RME Octamic-D
I would like to have 2 or 4 more pres that sound, if not excellent, then at least unique. Any suggestions people?
    PowerBook G4 1.67 2GB   Mac OS X (10.4.5)   Logic 7.2 / MOTU Traveler

i wasin your situation 3 weex ago...
I got the Mobile I/O from Metric Halo recommended and borrowed it along with a mini me an Motu Traveler and an M audio....Some said the Mbox 2 was great but i did not bother to checkk it...
I wasnt really happy with any of the above mentioned aside from the mini me from apogee - but the integration in Logic thru the funny core audio was not smooth - so I deceided to give the mbox 2 a shot - it blew me right away - the preamps are fabulous - i must say that i had not counted on the quality igot thru the mbox2 but now it's sitting here with me and a sure sm 58 is hooked into it and it sounds amazing - it powers right off of your Powerbook with usb one - if u get make sure u use the left side of the powerbook to power the mbox2....
It has 2 analog ins (mixpre or line) phantom power and 2 SPDIF inputs which u can ride alongside the analog ins....
All for 444$ - protools 7.1 LE included...
This would be my recommendation - bar none
