T61 needs restart twice a day
Hi,
I'm using first version of T61 with windows vista ultimate.
I regulary update my system.
The problem is after sometime the system wont work properly, I wont be able to start new applications.
And few opened applications doesnt work.
If firefox is open sometimes it works.
And I have to restart the system and then system works fine for sometime.
Also when I hibernate and resume my system doesnt get internet.
Please somebody help me. Its really getting annoying.

if your browsing the net, it can become awful cluttered at times
get yourself a good cleaner like CCleaner and clear out all temp files regularly
also there is often no need to do a whole restart, just log off and log back on again resets lots of things
most importantly, turn prefetch etc off on your browsing and thikn about putting vista in the bin unlesss you got loadsa money for extra RAM

I needed to delete a domain from my primary DNS.
In order to do so, I removed the matching entry from named.conf and also the zone file. Then stopped DNS service and restarted it using the serveradmin command.
Upon the first restart, the DNS service still showed "stopped". When I then restart the DNS another time, it seems to work.
On SA it is the same: Pushing the button to stop the service disables DNS, but to enable DNS again, it is necessary to press the "Start service" button twice.
The log file shows these two lines that may be affiliated with the problem:

Is this something I have to live with, is it anything bad or all okay ?
By the way, all I did yesterday was to repair permissions on the boot volume. But beside this, nothing else was done.Before and after the "100.77.194..."-zone are other domain zones. Not sure what kind of information you requested, but here is all content of named.conf, except domain zones:

Time Capsule stops working, needs restart every few days
Its a brand new 2TB Time Capsule, I've had it maybe 2 weeks. I'm new to Mac, I got a Retina MBP for myself and one for my wife. It normally works great but lately the icon at the top bar has had an exclamation point showing it couldnt back up. No matter what I do I cant make it find the disk. I'll go upstairs and feel the Time Capsule and I can tell the drive is no spinning. Its like it spins down and never starts up again. I have to restart the Time Capsule and then it starts working again. This has happened twice in the last week. I cant find any real settings other than Airport Utility or Time Machine settings. Any help would be great!
This is an issue that started with Lion and is even worse on Mountain Lion... so there are no easy solutions..
Reboot you are doing is the easiest..
But you can read the instructions.. you can load airport utility 5.6 if you still use Lion and disconnect all users.. that usually gets things going again. Unfortunately apple eliminated that option from the toyland version in ML and did not make 5.6 available to install.

OS X can read and write FAT formatted drives, which is the typical format of a USB thumb drive. NTFS is the native format of Windows, which is what the Paragon software was for. OS X can read NTFS files, but not write to them. I've used the Paragon stuff in the past. My guess is you had an old version that didn't play well with your version of OS X. -

My N97 is restarting by himself once or twice per day, on an interval of 2-3 days, sometimes when I do something on it, sometimes when it stays on the desk, it is very annoying!

With CS6 we used to ship Acrobat 10 and with Creative Cloud it's Acrobat 11.

Start JDBC Receiver channel twice per day
Hello,
I need to get some piece of data from Oracle database twice per day. For example at 12:00am and 12:00pm. Standard JDBC Receiver channel has no needed settings. It has only "poll interval" without exact time.
I can set up "poll interval" to 12 hours, but this can't guarantee that JDBC receiver channel will works only twice per day. For example after XI system restart JDBC adapter loses time counter. It means that JDBC adapter can starts more than 2 times per day.
I have only one idea at this moment.
I can create ABAP program which can be planned as ABAP job at needed time and with needed period.
This program should send some dummy message to Integration Engine. Integration Engine should start some Integration Process which can read data from Oracle database via JDBC channel.
What else opportunities are?

Faulty Macbook Pro, crashing twice per day!

im having hard time here with my pro,
at least twice per day it crashes, 90% of the time it just stop, the sound goes on loop, and the only way to recover it is to keep the start button until it turns off. 10% of the times the screen goes black and appears the error message that suggest to restart the system.
once i went trought the errors of the kernel panic but i wasnt able to find what it was,
any suggestion??
zedI am also guessing you are using the 9600M GT graphics card? Try switching over to the 9400M if you don't need the additional power. It reduces temps dramatically and I have yet to experience a thermal shutdown with the 9400M enabled. Take the macbook pro into an apple store or CERTIFIED Apple Registered Technician and have the heatsink reseated onto the CPU. This should allow for better heat transfer from the CPU to the heatsink, and overall reducing your overheating problem.

My battery drains VERY quickly, I'm having to plug in twice a day!

Its becoming incresingly annoying that I'm having to charge my iPhone twice a day. Its always 100% at the start of the day and come around tea time its down to around 30%. I do use it for whatsapp but thats about it during the day and after having an iPhone 3 & 4 I've never experienced such issues. I was told the battery life was improved with the iPhone 5?
My main point is that its not always been like this and with having over a year left on my contract I need to nip this in the bud before it gets any worse.
Things I have tried so far (To no avail)
Closing all apps that are open.
Lowered my screen brightness (I can only just see it)
Any suggestions as neither of the above two have worked.

That is what happens when a battery powered device is used often.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

If you want to schedule periodically means daily, weekly or every 12 hours(hourly) you can do this from Process Chain start variant settings as already explained.
But if you want to execute 06:00 and 12:00 then you can do using those settings.
Its better to start process chain through an Event. create an abap program to raise an event.

HomeHub 5 Rebooting/Restarting Every 15 Days!!
Hi All,
Apologies if this has already been covered but I am at my whits end. I have had Inifinty 2 for over a year now and my HH5 seems to restart every 15 days as if its on a timer.. I recently had an engineer out as my line went iffy as my max speed reduced by about 20mb and the max available was showing incorrectly too. He put my line on to some new pairs up to the cabinet... The speeds are fantastic as they aleady were and my line was back up running in no time.. Sure enough though.... 15 days exactly later and the hub restarted itself albeit the speeds stayed the same... What on earth doe the HH5 do this for or is there something wrong with my line?? I would love to get to the bottom of this as surely these restarts will affect my speed.

Whilst typing this i notice that my hub restarted itself again last night to apply the firmware update.. ending 204... perhaps this might mean the end of the restarts

Go to Solution.Another poster {DavidCo} recommend to set the dhcp lease the max 21 day setting on the hh5 to see if that helps.
15 days is pretty good for the hh5 & shouldn't really attract the dreaded dlm's attention. {Unless its on a counter phase ?}

If you don't want to loss the lines connection when the hh5 updates ( or what ever other mischief it gets upto ) You need to use it in tandem the an openreach modem as "guru ray_d" often highlights .
That way the hh5 can concentrate on just being a router , rather than an all singing 'n' dancing all-in-one.
