T61 wireless can't connect with authentication key enabled
Hello all,
I have a new Thinkpad T61 that will properly connect to my wireless network when the router is configured as unsecured but CANNOT connect when I set up a network key. In my router config I have tried using both the WPA-PSK and WPA2-PSK authentications. I enter a 9 character network key made up of ordinary numbers that it accepted by the router, and save settings. The other settings on the screen are:
WPA Group Rekey Interval = 0
WPA Encryption = AES
WEP Encryption = Disabled
In the Windows wireless interface I select the network, type in the key, and get to the “acquiring network address” stage but no further. The connection window shows that packets are being sent and received. As soon as I go back to my router config and set it as unsecured, the wireless connects no problem. I have tested another laptop on the network with a passkey and it connected without any problems.
Occasionally when I am tinkering with the wireless settings (especially after clicking on the wireless tray icon) the system locks and I have to reboot. Before the reboot I get a program “not responding” dialog box where it asks me to end explorer.exe and a program called CiceroUIWndFrame.exe
The system came pre-loaded with Linux but I’ve changed to XP Pro. I have done all Windows updates, through SP3 and re-installed the driver for the network adapter 7kwc50ww.exe (I hope correctly??). I am using Windows to configure wireless, but thinkvantage ver. 4.52 is also running. I tried disabling Windows networking and configuring through thinkvantage, but this fails also.
I have called tech support on my DSL company but they are out of ideas and think it is my router but I am doubtful because it was working fine before I got the new machine, and it worked on the other laptop. I think something must have gone wrong in the XP install.

A quick and dirty test would be to completely uninstall Access Connections and try using just the Windows Wireless Zero Configuration. In my personal opinion, unless you are using multiple wireless configs at multiple locations the ThinkVantage software is overkill. Also, if you search the board, you will find multiple instances of SP3 wrecking wireless. Let us know if this helps.

I beg to differ.
You can use a regular keyboard with the camera connection kit, I have been using one for more than a year.
The proviso is that you do not get any of the functions of a cursor or the back / forward keys but these functions can easily be carried out by using the touchscreen. I find it a lost easier to write long documents using a usb keyboard as I am used to touch typing so an external keyboard is a lot faster than using the iPad screen. -

The ForeignKeyAttribute on property 'Id' on type ... is not valid. The navigation property 'aspnetusers' was not found on the dependent type ... The Name value should be a valid navigation property name.

I have an account for apple but this is not acceptable for i cloud. It say it is correct ID and password but this is not icloud account. there are 2 recent posts that suggest issues over 5, one where someone was trying to troubleshoot for a friend or client as they couldn't keep more than 5 connected, and the other where somone had more than 5 but was using 2 separate itunes libraries to share the load - not sure if that was with the same or differing AppleIDs.
I guess there is always the possibility that things kight vary from one itunes version to the next even unintentionally to allow more.

I've only got one ID so I can't test but Winston says you can be signed into iTunes with multiple AppleIDs (i.e authorise iTunes for more than one ID content) at the same time, and that even different account content will stream so long as Home Sharing ID in iTunes matches AppleTV Home Sharing ID.

New Galaxy 5s. Trying to connect to a guest wireless that routes browser to a login screen. The wireless will not connect (gives authentication error), so will not pull up browser window. My previous Android did not have this problem (it would connect and immediately reroute to the login screeen).
Would you please try manually set the DNS address on client NIC to the IP of your server, then try run the connector again?

I know this is an Apple forum, but is there anywhere that we can get info about AOL's servers (i.e., which regions are having trouble, etc)? I'm in France, and AOL seems to shut down at about 6:00pm every day. This is very frustrating, since the people i'm trying to talk to are in the US.
