I have a T61p with the following production date of NVIDIA chip: 0825a2
That means 25th week of 2008.
Do I have the Nvidia bug?

The short answer is probably No.
It's believed that there were many factories and/or production lines making the chips with the "improved" design produced concurrent with the old one for a period of time, however if your laptop was produced in 08/08 and your gpu in 0825, you're good. If your laptops production date is prior to 08/08 then you will have no way of knowing for sure.

I know how to use about:config & have had the usual problems with newtab page tiles but this is more like a bug- using 33.0.1. Doesn't show tiles icon in top right corner just shows a gear that is used to hide the empty tiles that I can't fill with sites. First it would only show 2 rows of 4 columns even though I had it set to 5 & 6 then few days later for no reason they went empty with a serrated line around the tiles & can't drag from the bookmarks---- really bloody annoying!!!!!!! Possibly a setting in the about:config but i can't fig it out?

I started to do that then it said that this will become their apple I.D or similar and then I thought that will disconnect them from the same iTunes? I've confirmed the mac address is included on that list and that the password is correct. Under choses netwrok I select the network and it just goes into a spin. I have tried removing the password and the access list settings and it still will not complete the connection to the router thus no internet access. The routers firmware is also up to date. This thing worked fine before this update and I've already tried to restore from backup. Any ideas or is the wifi nic bad in this thing with the new apple firmware update? Any fix?

This has nothing to do with your pictures. As long as LR works, nothing happens. The CC app merely has lost an entry in the installer database. Would a reinstall fix it? Sure. Is it necessary? Not really (until the next version or update). So unless you have too much time to spend or something isn't working, I'm sure you can find more interesting things to do with your tiem. Otherwise use the cleaner tool and get to it:

You could try doing a hard shut down (holding the power button or yanking the battery) and then doing a safe boot by holding the shift key at startup:

Also, not sure if this applies in your case, but I've had that happen when there's a USB drive inserted either in the computer or a connected external keyboard. I did a hard shut down, removed the drive and it went through a normal start up.

I have this (or a similar) issue and I did notice something interesting. After I boot into Windows via Bootcamp (where I have the U3014 specfic driver installed) and then reboot into MacOS X (Mavericks) the monitor works flawlessly.
I would hazard a guess that this means bootcamp is retaining the driver used in Windows. Kind of the reverse of the TB GBE adapter driver issue.
To explain my issue for anyone else: the monitor flicks on and off as if the connection was poor. Connecting via HDMI. Connection is fine and as stated, everything works fine in Bootcamp.

I believe I have solved the problem. I have 16mb ram so I went into photo
preferences and raised to 75% what is available for photo
I also reduced the cache from 6 to 2. The last two sessions the coloured
ball has not appeared. Hope this might be usefull to others
