T61P DVI output

I have a T61P and get DVI out of the docking station... are there any cards small adapters so I can get DVI out ( while on trips ) and not have to drag around the docking station?

does this problem happen with the VGA port?
install TPfancontrol and look at what temperature your GPU gets when it cuts out?
also, try to  leave the laptop in bios menu, and see whether this problem crawls up.
Lastly, try to stress your GPU by running 1080p, some graphic intensive game or CAD... and see whether that increases the frequency of the dvi port cutting out.

  • T22 Dvi output via docking port

Can anyone please help. I have a T22 laptop with a docking port/ port replicator. The docking port has a dvi output port. Can I connect this to a large screen monitor? Does the T22 support dvi output? I dont want to spend out on a cable if it will not work. Thanks for your help.

It should work without any great difficulties, depending on what you plan to do you may want to change the settings in the BIOS > Config > Display menu for which, or both, screen (s) should be used to display the boot sequence.
In Windows you can configure things using Presentation Director. If you don't already have it installed you can find it here.
Let us know how you arrange your setup.

    Hi Maryan,
Open System Preferences > Displays > select the window for you external monitor > click on the Arrangement tab and check the box next to Mirror Displays. It may be slightly different in Lion, but the idea is the same.

  • T410 with integrated graphics - DVI output not working on Mini Dock 3 (4337)

I tried connecting my external monitor to the DVI output of the Mini Dock and it did not work.  I have since connected it with no issus to the VGA output.
However, I want to use the digital (DVI) connection for my monitor........how can i fix this issue?
NOTE: I have a T410 with the integrated graphics so my laptop screen does not display while docked (I keep the lid closed).

    Welcome to Lenovo Community!
As per the query we understood that you are facing issue with no Display when connected to docking station on your ThinkPad T410.
Have you checked updating the Intel graphic driver from Lenovo support site?
Please provide the current Graphic driver version showing in device manager.
Is the system having Windows 7 or Windows 8 OS?
    Hope this helps.

  • My Fall 2009 system DVI output to our HDTV doesn't include audio.  Connecting the Macbook headphone output to the TV's RCA plugs works if TV is in AV (PC) mode, but no picture.  DVI to HDMI adapter to TV works fine for picture, but no audio.

My Fall 2009 model Macbook Pro DVI output apparently doesn't include audion.  Adapting DVI to HDMI works with new LG TV, but doesn't provide sound.  Connecting the Macbook headphone output to the TV's RCA jacks give sound with the TV in AV (PC) mode, but no video.  Is there a fix for this?  Search for a DVI to HDMI adapter that includes a plug for the headphone jack comes up empty, so far.

DVI has never included audio, sorry.
There is also no DVI->HDMI adapter including a plug for audio; such thing cannot work without quite a bit of electronic extra effort.
Instead of much bla-bla, why don't you tell the exact TV model, and we'll try to come up with a solution?
BTW, no home theater AV receiver present, correct? Sound to come from the TV, correct?

  • My mini dvi output port is no longer working (2007 iMac) please help!

My mini dvi output port is no longer working, can this be replaced or do I need a new motherboard? (it's a 2007 iMac, no longer under warrantee. Long story short when I was out of town someone cut my power cord on my tv I went to turn the tv on and looked at the back of the tv to see if there was any loose connections and found the cord sliced 3/4 of the way through. I must have bumped the cord and it sparked and made a loud pop noise. Well it fried the tv (which has since been fixed) but everything that was connected to it (my ps3, receiver, and my iMac) ports are all not working now... (and yes i did try new hdmi cables to see if it was just that) If this is a hardware issue what exactly is needed to fix this? A new main board? Any feedback would be great on this. I took it to apple and they said $650 to replace the motherboard... Was just wondering if this port can just be replaced or if it is a part of the main board and that does need replacing. Everything else works fine on all three things (ps3, receiver, imac) just the outputs are fried on them. Is there any other way I can do video out of my iMac other than mini dvi? I'm not paying for the repair so I don't mind having apple replace the board, but for $650... I may as well get a new iMac for $500 more...

If Apple said the motherboard is gone, that's your answer. Even if you were to find out the port isn't part of the main board, it's all connected when you're talking about a power surge/short as you described it. And yes, I'd never invest $650 in a 5 year old computer.

  • Using the DVI output on a NX6200TC-TD card for HDTV projection TV

    Hi,
I just got a new system on which I have the NX6200TC-TD video card. I am trying to use the DVI output with a DVI-HDMI conversion cable for my HDTV projection TV as a secondary screen. My primary screen is a small 15" LCD. I use teh "Clone" mode to have the same thing on both. Here are my two problems:
1- The picture on my projection TV is too large for the screen. The icons on the left are only partly visible, and I cannot see the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.
2- The picture is really blinking. I think this is becaused of the fixed 60Hz refresh rate?
I tried several things with the extended NVidia display settings. One problem I have is that I have difficulty to change the settings on one specific display. It seems like no matter what I do (like selecting the secondary display), the changes are applied to the primary display. Also, when I am using the HDMI input on my TV, I cannot change the display size on the TV (fixed to full screen).
The resolution on the LCD is 1024 x 768 and the HDTV is in 1080i mode. I tried all other HDTV modes, but it did not fix my problems.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Benoit

    I see...
Another solution that would really help would be the ability to easily switch from one screen to the other. I have that on my laptop: special key shortcuts allow to turn off the LCD and turn on the external projector, and it uses pre-defined settings for each screen. Difefrent settings are possible because they are not on at the same time. Is there something like this available with that card?  Would that be a card feature, or a system (motherboard) feature?
If that is not possible, I would be satisfied if at least I could fix the border problem on the HDTV screen, even thoughthe LCD screen becomes smaller. Is that possible?  Basically I want to make sure I get a good picture on the large screen.
      Thanks!

  • Hdmi dvi output blocked

TV goes black and then says. Hdmi/Dvi output blocked. I unplugged everything and turned it on and then it works ok for a while and goes black again. Been happening off and. On for months

Go to your TV Mfr's support site and update the firmware on the TV.  Depending on the TV, you might need to download it from your computer and copy to a USB flash drive or a SD card.
If that doesn't do it, try another HDMI cable.
3rd, swap out the DVR for anther one at your lcoal Comcast  office.

  • IBook DVI output

I'm trying to connect my iBook G4 12" to a DVI monitor. I'm using the VGA adapter that came with my laptop and a DVI cable that came with my monitor and both work for other applications. I am also using a small $20 VGA-to-DVI adapter. It is either this, the monitor, or the laptop that is causing the problem. The two other cables are functional. Is there something I need to do on my laptop to signal that it is hooked up to a DVI monitor? I have connected a PowerBook through the same port minus the VGA-to-DVI converter and it also did not work; however the same set up, DVI adapter and cord, worked with the PowerBook on another DVI monitor and a television. Is the convertor insufficient or should I look more into supprt from my monitor's manufacturer?
    iBook G4 12-inch   Mac OS X (10.4.1)

The iBook does NOT have DVI output.
The iBook G4 has a mini-VGA connector on the back.
    I am also using a small $20 VGA-to-DVI adapter.
That device is for converting a DVI output to a VGA monitor. It does not work in the opposite direction.
The devices that convert VGA to DVI are active devices and the ones I have seen are several hundreds of US dollars.

  • T61: DVI output without docking station? Possible?

I was wondering if there is any way to have DVI output on my T61 without using a docking station. I need to use this output frequently and carrying the docking station around is not very practical. Any ideas?
    Thanks!
    Rodrigo.

I see, but how about picture quality?
I mean, I'm going for DVI because I want to plug the PC into a full HD display.
If I'm going to use a VGA 2 DVI converter it's better to use VGA straight, isn't it?
How is lenovo's VGA output quality in high resolutions?
    Thanks for your help.

  • HDMI / DVI output

    Hi!
do you know about any plans to include HDMI or at least DVI output on X200 Series laptops, instead of really old school VGA? I think even managers and IT guys (who are the target group of this laptop) might benefit from it.
If not, is there any way to let Lenovo know we really want that?
    Thanks,
    Jakub

  • T420s DVI Output

I am trying to use my Samsung Syncmaster (1680x1050x120hz) with my newly bought t420s. For that i need a DVI-D Output which i thought could be managed by buying a dockingstation, but its not working. I can only use it with 60hz or lower, but i need the 120hz. Can someone tell me whats the reason? Is it the graphic card (intel hd 3000 graphics) or the dockingstation? Thanks

    Just a heads up.
I am able to get 120hz with a vga monitor over the dockingstations vga output. The displayport also supports 120hz on my samsung syncmaster 2233rz with the displayport/dvi-d converter from bizlink. There is one funny thing though... the vga singal seems "better". When playing with 640x480x120 i have less fps drops on the vga monitor. Anyone any ideas?
The dvi output is still a mystery why it only supports 60hz on any resolution...
