T61p Nvidia Quadro FX 570M + NEC EA231WMi Display Problem

Hi,
I have a T61p running Windows 7 sitting in a docking station with an Eizo monitor connected to the DV-I port and an NEW EA231WMi connected to the RGB port. The NEC has a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 and all the correct drivers are installed but text is slightly stretched and fuzzy to look at.
NEC asked me to update my Nvidia FX 570M display adapter driver and I downloaded 266.58_notebook_winvista_win7_32bit_international_whql.exe from the Nvidia driver downloads page. However, after running the update it comes back with a failed to install message. Currently, I have an Nvidia driver version 8.16.11.8694 from 05/09/2009 installed in Windows 7, is this already the latest version? Any tips on what else I can do?
I do have an extended onsite Lenovo warranty, but can't find any contact details for them. The Lenovo site only suggests contacting a partner for hardware repairs.

Please try your program with just one stick of RAM. Some models have problems with two sticks.

what do you want to do with such devices, work, play, and specifically which software?
usability is often ignored by people who get swayed by paper-based specs, and it is important to know what you are going to do with a machine before making up your mind, not just which processor and hardware has a .01 percent coolness factor above the other.
I am somewhat biased, for I have developed an intense distrust, disenchantment, and pretty much an aversion to what you would call "PC" software and OSes. Twenty years of DOS and Windows have left me no fond memory, if not for the fact that I know how to fix a lot of software and hardware problems (you learn when you are constantly confronted to problems, and problems abound in the world of Windows).
A Macbook Pro is a beautiful machine, and it is hassle free a good 90%+ of the time, you can install Windows if you must anyhow, but Apple doesn't sell for cheap. Mind you, most high-end PCs do not cost much less anyhow, just the low end ones.
The 8600M GT card supports DirectX 10, can play even Crysis on a 32-bit Windows version very well (I play it from time to time, beautiful), but it isn't a 8800 card, nor is it the best card in all of laptop PCs. I do consider the Macbook Pro a desktop replacement, and I have very intensive use of my machine (scientific software for academics and industry, video games, multimedia, you name it).
So if you must play the latest game, and I mean the latest, with the highest frame-per-second count of all your friends, don't go for a 8600M GT, (ii) for a laptop anyways (laptop were never, never meant to compete with desktop-grade hardware, no matter what you local wise arses will tell you), and (iii) buy a console instead. BUT, if you want to play most games, very well, and you are concerned with media editing, usability, stability, reliability, etc., a Macbook Pro is a beautiful thing to have...

I was wondering, when will the updates for NVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M driver be release? I tried playing some games and they say that my display driver is not uptodateand they do not allow me to play it =(

T61p Nvidia drivers - new drivers give jerky DXVA playback

I gave another shot at installing the latest drivers for my Nvidia FX 570M, but it seems that CUDA does work well when there are other applications running in the background. When I play 1080p (or 720p)mkv files, there is a jerkyness, audio and video halts for a few seconds and then it resumes.
With the old drivers from Lenovo, everything seemed fine, but the drivers did seem to have a few bugs in the interface, or retaining the settings for increased refresh rate.
Does anyone else have these issues?

It seems like the problem is a conflict with other applications that use hardware acceleration. I disabled it in Firefox, and now video playback is fine.
I wonder if I should alert Nvidia or Mozilla about the problem. Given the problem has consistently been with newer drivers, it seems like it is Nvidia's responsibility.

CS4 Premiere crashing on Lenovo T61p with NAVIDIA FX 570M

We have been using CS3 on all our Lenovo laptops with great succese.
So, we decided to try CS4 since we tried it on our desktops and loved it.
Basically we ran into the same problem as many other post I found on Google.
Everything from CS4 Creative Suites installs and runs great, except for Premiere and Ancore.
Premiere opens fine but if I try to open a time line it emediatly crashes.
All the post pointed to a video driver conflict and recommended upgrading the driver which I did, but have the same problem. Original driver was Version 6.14.11.0133 and now updated to the latest offered by Lenovo 6.14.11.7715.
I have tried to uninstall and re-install CS4 several times.
Adobe suggested we try NIVIDIA's drivers but according to NIVIDIA we can only use Lenovo's drivers.
Adobe specs are not to clear, but from what I gather this video card in this laptop will not work no matter what we do?

Tried emailing Adobe, but no response. We are presently in Asia and dont want to call customer service and sit on hold at $2 a minute.

As I wrote in the original post, I already tried the new driver and old driver both. Neither works.
From what I'm reading CS4 only works on PC desk tops and ONLY Mac Laptops. Thanks Adobe, great job sending everyone over to Apple.
Maybe you should pass all the "CS4 crashing" postings around after the next round of layoffs...

Nvidia Quadro M

Is it posible to put another gfx card into a MBP than the build in e.g. a Nvidia Quadro Fx 570M.
I meen it's a gfx card for NoteBooks and I Know no better NB than a MBP.

No. There is no graphics "card" in the laptops. The GPU is in a chip soldered to the motherboard.

Reader Display problems

I'm having a problem problem with Reader displaying PDF's. When we try to open a pdf with the screen maximized all we see is the the Reader frame... we can't actually see the documents. If we down size the display area of Reader to something smaller (usually about 70% of max) we can see the PDF properly.
So far this is happening on 4 different computers 3 of which run Reader 9.1.1 and the last one runs Reader 8. Once it starts it seems to happen on all PDF's.
any thoughts to the cause?

problems with browser and app
But also that after using and or closing pdfs that my remote desktop connection screens cannot be expanded passed 734pixel wide by 804pixel high without corruption.
Cannot expand the pdf add window beyond 893w by 871h before corruption occurs and that can drop to ~300x400 if I open multiple documents.
These pixel values are example as they vary.

They included the wrong DisplayPort to Mini DisplayPort adapter. The correct adapter should have a female Mini DisplayPort connector, not male. You could buy the correct adapter or you could add a F-F Mini DisplayPort coupler

Update of photoshop CC - trouble with NVIDIA Quadro 1000M display driver. PS freezes

Hey guys,
Since today I've got trouble with my PS CC.
I've updated PS CC yesterday 2014-12-12.
I was doing some drawings today and two times PS freezes during switching layers of or selecting a mask.
A message appeared that there was trouble with the display driver an PS switched off the GPU support because of that issue.
Ok, I thought let's update the display driver and so I've done today. I switched to actual NVIDIA display driver version 314.21
I'm working with an NVIDIA Quadro 1000M on a DELL mobile Workstation Precision M4600 with 8 GB RAM.
Now when I start up PS and press alt+k, my 2 displays showing a black screen for 1-2 seconds.
After closing the general setup window again black screen for 1-2 sec and the top menu bar is showing no entries.
When I move the mouse pointer over the bar, the menus appear again. But the bar is like transparent at the parts where no menues are.
When I unlock the window from the screen an put it back fitting to the screen everything looks like normal.
Till today I hadn't any problem with my notebook in that kind of way.
Maybe someone has or had similar problems.
Would be nice if someone can help me.

Oh, that sounds very bad. It's not that bad for me. It's not crashing that often at the moment, only black screens at start up or if setting dialog is opened. But I will see tomorrow how often it will crash, during today it crashed 2 times when doing some ridiculous simple actions like switchid to another layer and the other time when trying to edit an mask layer. I will contact the support chat on monday regarding this issue. Maybe there is a solution or an update soon... I keep may fingers crossed for you.

He has a Windows 7 x64 machine, with a Nvidia Quadro 1800 - monitor hooked in via DVI port.
Basically when you boot the PC up with the Apple monitor, the monitor turns on and backlit but no display, no options for BIOS or anything like that, just lit up and black screen.
I can boot up the PC with a Dell monitor and it boots up fine - and if I take the DVI out of the Dell monitor and plug it in to the Apple monitor while the machine is up and running, the Apple monitor comes on and works without issue - however, if you were to reboot it, or if it goes to sleep - I lose the Apple monitor, and have to start the process over.
The Windows machine recognizes the Apple monitor, it displays as Cinema monitor - all the video card drivers are up to date - also had the same issue with a previous video card (I swapped the video cards out thinking initally it was a bad video card)
What am I missing?

If I upgade to my macpro 3,1 with a video card Nvidia Quadro FX 4801 can I still use my Cinema HD Display? Will I need an adaptor?

My video card ATI Radeon 2600 is sick. Works only some days. I would like to upgrade to Nvidia Quadro FX 4801 but it looks like it might have different video connections. I would like to continue to use my 2008 Cinema HD Display. Are these items complatable?

You don't need to spend $400, the 5770 will do fine, or I would go with Apple 5870 $449
Barefeats isn't testing the 4800 in any of their tests or since about 2009 before the 5770/5870 came out and the Quadro 4000.
But you can interpolate comparing where it sits to 8800 and others

Which display driver package do I need for Nvidia Quadro NVS 110m?

I'm new to (Arch) Linux and was wondering which display driver package I need. I have a Dell Latitude D620 with a "nvidia quadro nvs 110m".
In the Arch Linux beginners guide it says:
1. nvidia-96xx slightly newer cards up to the GF 4.
2. nvidia-173xx Geforce FX series cards
3. nvidia newest GPUs after the GF FX
Consult the NVIDIA-Homepage to see which one is for you.
But on the NVIDIA-Homepage it says:
The GeForce M series and GeForce Go series notebook GPUs use drivers that have been customized by the notebook manufacturers to support hot key functions, power management functions, lid close and suspend/resume behavior. NVIDIA has worked with some notebook manufacturers to provide notebook-specific driver updates, however, most notebook driver updates must come from the notebook manufacturer.
And they just forward me to Dell Support which obviously neither offers a linux driver nor linux driver information for the D620.
So which of the three packages do I have to install?
Are these packages open-source drivers? Do I need proprietary nvidia drivers to get full 3D-performance?
Does anybody have experience with the D620?
Although I'm new to Linux and I like the KISS idea behind Arch Linux, I still want to have all that Compiz Fusion eye candy. I also want to play a few games which need 3D performance (once I'm familiar with wine). ;-)

Final question: How does Arch Linux deal with license issues? If the nvidia package includes the original nvidia drivers linked above, doesn't that cause any legal/moral problems? Like in Ubuntu for example they always point out that it's proprietary software you're gonna install when enabling the nvidia drivers.

Is Apple 27in Cinema display compatible with NVIDIA Quadro FX 4800 for Mac?

Can anyone tell me whether the new Apple 27inch Cinema display will work with the NVIDIA Quadro FX 4800 for Mac? I will use this on a MacPro with 2.66GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon “Westmere” and CS5 (Adobe recommends the NVIDIA). It seems incredible that it doesn't for whatever reason.

NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500+Cheap LCDs+Cintiq-all money EVER=3 display solution?

Last week I received my long-awaited Quad G5 along with my happy NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500.
I am currently running two simple Viewsonic Diplays:

My budget is done. I feel a bit stupid now because I thought in the back of my mind, however brief.....quadro...quad...four.... 4 displays! Now, I knew this was wrong, but it doesn't change the fact that I didn't think about it when I ordered everything. So, my question is...
What's the best solution to have all three displays running separately and at a decent quality? A co-worker of mine says that you can just "spit the signal and the mac is smart enough to figure it out, it'll work." That sounds like bull to me. This can't be true, right?
So, given the specs of the monitors... if I HAVE to buy another video card I'd want the two Viewsonics running on it, as I'm sure a much cheaper video card will still use them to their full potential. What would be a good, inexpensive choice that will work with this setup? I'd rather keep the Cintiq on the NVIDIA, as it will be my main work area for everything I do. I like having two monitors side by site for video editing, so I'd rather not take one down just to use the Cintiq.
So, any suggestions?

You would of been better off with a 7800 and order the 6600 for $200 extra. You could run the 2 viewsonics off the 7800 and the Cinitq off the 6600 while only taking 2 slots. Your option now is to buy the 6600 as that is the only card that will work in any of the open slots. I'm have the opposite problem. I have a 7800 with a 6600 running 2 30" monitors and would rather have a single 4500 as Aperture does not like splitting information between 2 separate video cards.

NVIDIA Quadro FX1400 + 30 inch display

I am having problems getting the NVIDIA Quadro FX1400 card to display resolutions higher that 1280x1024. Is this card capable of higher resolutions with this mornitor? The machine is a dell P4 64bit processor with 2gigs of ram, windows xp 64bit edition etc...

That's DVI noise. Is the Apple Mini DisplayPort to Dual-link DVI Adapter a recent purchase from Apple? If so, return it for another one. The one you have is defective.
