Hi,
what is the difference in content in bulk packages versus retail packages? I know, the bulk version would not have the colorful boxes, but what else is the bulk version not having?

P.S. OEM is not Refurbished. With OEM Vid Cards, you will find non retail cooling on them, and sometimes they are clocked slower than their retail cousins.

Amplifier for Inspire T7900 speakers.

Hi, for some while ago my subwoofer suddenly stopped working, and since the shop I bought it at has shut down, I couldn't get it fixed at all... so now, nearly a year later, I want to use my 7 speakers. Problem is, when I plug them into my computer using some cables I had, the volume is too low. I'm guessing the amplifier is inside the subwoofer...
So, I need a new amplifier. But people I've talked to say something about resistance and bla bla.. so it would be to great help if you could tell me exactly what I need to fix it. If I could I would buy a new subwoofer, but I can't find a package that doesn't give me speakers aswell. Thanks a bunch if you can help!

T7900 Speakers (7.1) cannot get center speaker to work

I am having a problem with my center speaker on my 7.1 system
all other speakers play fine includin the subwoofer but the center speaker makes no sound
i have set the control panel option to 'surround sound' and i have tried '7.1'.
i have tried speakers with many different medias and programs
In device manager: got 'legacy audio drivers'
got 'NVidia nForce Audio Codec Interface'
got 'nVidia nForce MCP audio processing unit'
got 'Unimodem half duplex Audio device'
default deveice is "nVidia nForce Audio"
from what i can gather the subwoofer and the center speaker are connected through the same channel but for some reason the center speaker gives no sound
if i connect the center speaker to a different port (i.e. line in ) it makes sound

If you have an nForce 2 motherboard with nForce audio it'll only support 5.1 channel output.
The T7900s come with a cable which has 3 jacks which go into your soundcard and 4 jacks which goes into the T7900s. I think you've the 4 ends which go into your speakers the wrong way around. Try connecting them differently.

T7900 Speakers cutting out at high volume

Help! I'm having a Party tomorrow and everytime I turned my speakers higher than about 50% they cut out, so that the volume drops until the next beat hits, then it cuts out again. I am using the original power supply, and I am sure that the connections are ok because the problem started recently.
I did have a problem with the pendant that has the volume and bass control on it, in that there was a bad connection when tyou turned the volume dial so that it crackled and the green light dimmed, but that cleared after a little use. The green light stays on with the current fault.
I am using onboard sound (AC97) on my MSI 875P Neo motherboard, and i haven't altered the drivers since before it worked.
I'm running out of time before we kick off tomorrow so any help you can offer please post.

Hello guys, I faced a similar problem with the t7900...
when I turn up the volume from my pc... without touching anything else the speakers begins to power off and then back on,, and one time i found it powering off and on again without playing any music, that terrifed me to death.. as I was sleeping. and at last I began to check wires and just move it and I found it doing the same thing.. I found that the fuse that is located at the end of the adapter cable( the thick part located before the jack that is connected to the subw.) is not properly connected to the wire that doesn't permit high power to pass through it that is needed for high volumes so it begins to poweroff. I fixed it's and the problem never repeated again.. Hoping this to help you.

Difference between Bulk and Retail versi

im about to buy a audigy 2 zs bulk and i want to know what it has different from the retail version
is it software and manual only or is the hardware also different? the product code for the bulk version im buying is 30SB035000000. is this card supported by creative? will i be able to use the drivers from creative website and updates?
im only asking this becouse my previous card was a sb li've! 5. oem model sb0220 wich was not supported and till this day i was never able to update my drivers, i allways had to use the ones on the cd, and that's something i dont want in a new card.

Creative T7900 Speakers with a Laptop

I would like to start using these speakers with my Toshiba A20-P Laptop. However the only output on this is the headphone jack. Im all up for buying an addon, e.g. PCMIA or USB. But I am not sure which will work best with the speakers. Anyone have any suggestions?
I dont mind which one it is as long as it works best, price doesnt matter either

T7900 surround speakers not working. Please help.

I have an Intel DP35DP motherboard (Intel High Definition Audio (Intel HD Audio) subsystem in the following configuration: 8-channel (7.1) audio subsystem with five analog audio outputs and one optical S/PDIF digital audio output using the Sigmatel STAC927D* audio codec) with which i have attached my 7.1 Inspire T7900 speakers. The right, centre, left, and the woofer are working perfectly fine, but none of the other 4, the surround speakers, are giving any sound?
Is it motherboard compatibility?
Is it the OS? (i'm currently running Vista Ultimate SP)
Is is something else? hardware settings in the motherboard driver installations? software configurations? (i haven't seen any signs of anything-'Creative' showing up in the OS)
Do .mp3s play on all the 7 tweeters or only specific formats do?

Thanks for the reply. But how do i know that my 7.1 system is running? Play a DVD? Secondly, i thought all the audio songs recorded in studios are made for 7.1 systems?
Secondly, are you sure its not any of the other factors?
I'm still anxious in hearing sound @ full throttle and quality - 7.1! :/

Audigy 2 ZS bulk vs. Audigy 4 b

After sending my broken Audigy 2 ZS bulk to retailer for repair under warranty, at this point after the release of Audigy 4, they seemed to lack Audigy 2 ZS, so they offered me an option to receive the Audigy 4 bulk in return.
Is there any difference between these two, besides that Audigy 2 ZS bulk had an firewire connector on the backside of the PCI-card? And what really makes me ask the question is that that the new Audigy 4 seems to be almost a third cheaper than it's predecessor Audigy 2 ZS bulk.
Is the new card such an leap in the evolution that they had to skip one number straight to four? :smileysurprised: :smileysurprised: :smileysurprised:
edit: I also have the option to pay an extra 40 ? to get an Sound Blaster? X-Fi XtremeMusic instead. On paper I instantly noticed it has EAX 5.0 over the EAX 4.0 of Audigy 2 ZS or 4 bulk. I'll not go into tech details cause you just need to read the specs to see what each card can and can not do... What i will say is this, i have always had creative cards and with each upgrade have found the new card to be better in performance and sound quality. I have just gone from an Audigy 2 Platinum Pro ZS to a new X-Fi Elite Pro and the quality and performance is fantastic. I use this card in my studio for recording/producing music and for playing the latest PC games. Without question it is a far better card ...BUT ... the question you need to ask yourself is this... are these gains worth the additional cost to upgrade based upon what you intend to do with it. I paid ?75 for my Elite Pro ( a very good price i would say )because i use all of it's features**. If you are just going to use it's most basic features to play games and listen to music using a basic set of stereo speakers then what is the point spending money on a card that will never be fully used. If you want better performance and quality then X-fi is a great card but at a cost...
** X-ram is not related to how much on board ram you have in the way you think. X-ram is only of use if the application you are using has been written to use it. It's an extra " wow " feature that at this time only benefits a few games...but new titles should take advantage of this...
As a note... you will see on this forum that many users have various issues with their card ( crackle/pop ) is a common report. This was an issue i had many years ago with my early creative cards and was due to " Bus Hogging " A little tweak of the Bus Latency cured this. None of my Audigy cards ( of which i have had 3 ) or my new x-fi card have this or any other problem.
Bottom line .. For me the X-fi Elite Pro is perfect for what i want it to do and a much better all round card than the Audigy range...Message Edited by Pawpaw on -6-2006:58 AM

Can't get my 4.1 speakers to work, only 2 channel stereo

I formated and restored my laptop because I thought I was having Vista issues but it turned out to be bad memory, so I replaced both sticks. Now I can't find any way for vista to enable my 4.1 speakers and I'm only getting sound from 2...and no subwoofer. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling several versions of the audio drivers but still no luck. I don't know if it's a vista issue or a driver issue or a hardware issue...I can't figure it out. Is there anyway to check if the 4.1 speakers are hooked up internally somewhere? Or does anyone have any other ideas what it might be?
Forgot to mention I have an X205.

I have connected the speakers and checked all connections several times, but I seem to have crossed channels. When I use the connection wizard to test the setup the first speakers tested are the front two. "Front Left" responds correctly, but
"Front Right" comes out of "Side Right"
continuing through the test brings the following results:

"Side Left" comes out of "Sub"
"Rear Left" comes out of "Side Left"
"Side Right" comes out of "Rear Right"

I have the T7900 speakers, X-FiXtreme Music sound card, and a Musketeer display. (I thought the Musketeer might be causing problems, but it makes no difference if I bypass it.)

DDTS-100 + Inspire 7.1 T7900 + STAR WARS EP3 DVD

A month ago I purchased the DDTS-100 decoder with the T7900 speakers to use it on my TV when watching DVD's. I have been really satisfied with those 2 products considering the price.
But I have an issue that I don't understand. I bought Star Wars Episode 3 DVD. Last night when watching the movie I realised that no sound came from the rear speakers. On the decoder the green led was on "Digital Surround". The only sound option on the DVD disc is English Digital Surround EX.
I then ran the THX Optimizer on the dvd just to test and there sound came from the rear speakers but in the movie nothing, no sound from rear speakers. When I put another DVD in my player the rear speakers work.
What could be the issue here? I doubt it's a dvd error. Is it the decoder that don't support Digital Surround EX or something. Is it something new? I really don't get it.
Is anyone experiencing the same problem or understands what is going on?

Hi Chris,
Firstly, If you are getting audio with the THX optimiser, and via other DVD's, it doesn't appear to be hardware related - logically, the hardware can only output what is actually put into it (i.e. the audio datastream via the software)...
...Meaning this issue probably originates from the software 'encoding' on the disc itself. As you say, it won't actually be a direct fault with just your DVD e.g. a scratch or something similar. However, it seems to be how the disc has been encoded, but I can't be certain :smileyindifferent:
Anyway, hope that's of some help & you get it sorted whatever it turns out to be.

Is it possible to connect the Inspire T7900 Speakers to Audigy 4 Pro, digitally? If you can, what cables do I need and are they available from Creative?

You cannot connect them digitally. You have to use the analog connection to connect those speakers.
Note that the only thing that a digital connection does is change where the signal is decoded. Speakers are analog by nature and so a decoding process has to happen somewhere. Generally, your soundcard will have better DACs (Digital to Analog Converters) than "digital" PC speakers will. It really only makes sense to go digital if you are using a receiver that has better DACs than your soundcard, which would be mid- or high-end AV Recei'vers.

Problem with inspire t7900

Hi,i just bought inspire t7900 speakers and i have a big problem..
there is no sound! actually i have tried everything..there is no connection problem,i also bought
the creative sound blaster audigy which is recomended for this kind of speakers,i have checked anything about settings but nothing...i also have tried different operating systems(xp home sp2,xp proffesional sp2) but the problem remains..
if you need additional information, my pc is new very good system(intel core quad proccessor,motherboard asus p5kc) so i can't find out where is the problem!

Hi, I have the same problem. Actually, it was working for a while, then all of a sudden: no sound from any of the speakers! Plugging headphones into the remote works, so there doesn't seem to be a problem with the connection between computer and the system; but there's definitely something wrong with the speakers... Any ideas here? I was really enjoying them up to this point...

Inspire T7900 Broken ?

Hi all my Creative Inspire T7900 Speakers have stopped working and i cannot seem to find a solution or a reason why they have done so
i woke up went to my computer no sound thought it was a bit odd so i checked all connections all were fine tested to see if it was my computer no seemed to be fine, tested with another source to make sure still nothing no sound what so ever.
so the speakers are defiantly not working and i am not being incompetent at least i hope not...
The power to the speakers is defiantly working as the little green light on the volume and bass control is working so i doubt its a fuse or anything if any one has any ideas on what it could be i would be most great full if you reply
also i have contacted creative via email 3 days on no reply i just need some speakers working better thank these cheap 2 channel ones !

I have this exact problem, watched a film at night, sound was working fine, woke up the next day. No sound, very frustrating. The sound card is fine, I tested it with headphones. I've fully tested the unit with an iPod nothing comes out of the speakers, except if you leave the subwoofer connection half plugged in and plug a audio source into the input on the remote. Then you get very quiet sound which is a fixed volume and is also mono. This is the second unit from creative i've had go wrong in this way in as many years. Might have to pay Bose a visit.

1. Can I play games using Professional E-MU 0404 or I need to install a second card?
2. Can I connect Creative Inspire T7900 speakers to E-MU 0404, because T7900 has three mini-jack out, or I need some additional connector?

1. yes but no enviromental effects available
2. not analogic ... an, by the back panel connectors in T7900, forget it, since 0404 has only one stereo (two mono outputs) output available (i.e. it's a stereo card by it's analog stage).
