How to enable RealPlayer in Safari

I presume you want to play video files. If not, ignore the following.
There is an app called "GoodPlayer." If you want to play videos of several file formats, you need GoodPlayer. It is a great app!
On your home page, tap on the App Store icon, then in the upper right hand corner, type in GoodPlayer. Then tap on the app to download it.
When you send video files to iPad, by e-mail for example, tap and hold on the attachment, then you get an "Open in " menu. Select "open in," then GoodPlayer."

I think it would be best to uninstall and reinstall the Realone player. Here are instructions for doing so. You can download a new player here.
Post back and let me know if this helps.

  • How to keep real player active with firefox 5.0

    Hello,
The first time I received the notice to update to 5.0 it said that real player would not work after updating. It gave no instructions on what to do about this. I am reluctant to update until I know more about this.

    There's a similiar thread about this: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/837853
Basically, real player is not going to be compatible with this new firefox version. So if you want it to work, best to stick with what you have and not update until firefox gets a new version or adds more stuff.

  • How to install flash player with safari 7 and OSX Mavericks

flash 13 refuses to install on brand new imac with Mavericks and Safari. Any ideas on how to get Flash installed would be much appreciated

    1.  Install Adobe Flash Player.
        http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
       Download it first.
Click Safari in the menubar and select “Quit Safari”.
Follow the prompts and install it.
        Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.
    2.  Allow  Plug-ins
        Safari > Preferences > Security
        Internet Plug-ins >  "Allow  plug-ins"
        Enable it.
    Best.

  • Issue enabling flash player in Safari

I was doing the FAQ steps to check that the flash player was enabled in Safari, but when I checked the browser preferences there was no box for "internet options: allow java".
Also, before this I tried to install the flash player, but after launching the installer there was a blank pop up, then a webpage saying it was unable to install

    It's Version 7.0.5 (9537.77.4).
    Thanks.

  • How to sandbox flash player in Safari

I have read that Safari for OS X Mavericks has a new sandboxing feature to firewall Adobe's Flash player. Does anyone know about this and if so, how is this app obtained and applied?
    Thanks

    Herschel,
Since you posted this question in the Mavericks Forum, I assume you are using Mavericks.
If that is the case, Flash sandboxing is automatically available.

Smartmovie is soully for AVI files play, while CoreCodec Core player can play vast range of media files.
Smartmovie has way more option and stable than the free Divx Player.
Core player also allows you to adjust the equalizer while you are playing the videos.
To me, it is the core player.
But for AVI, it is smartmovie.
PS: Both of em are shareware, where divx player is freeware.

  • How to enable DivX player

I recently downloaded DivX player and everytime I play videos in Apple.com to watch trailers/tutorials the DivX player is the default and I can't see the video just the sound. Can anyone help me?
this is my first post by the way

    Welcome to the forums!
    What you need is:
    Perian from http://perian.org/
You should read this support page http://perian.org/#support in case you need to delete older codecs. In Macintosh HD/Library/Quicktime/ delete any files relating to DivX (Perian already has them). However it should be noted that Perian is not an internet plugin and will not play DivX files imbedded on a website. For that you will need the DivX Player browser plugin available from http://www.divx.com/divx/mac/

  • Real Player problems

Hi -sorry if this is in the wrong place but I have sort of audio problem. I'm a big listener to the BBC radio service on my Macs which works through streaming using Real player via Safari. Since this morning I have had no sound from it at all on my iMac yet it works fine on my Macbook. i have tried unistalling 7 reinstalling real player but still no joy. After messing about restarting etc & reinstalling I have tried playing a regular mp3 file via Real player but get the following warning - " Cannot open the audio device. Another application may be using it" yet i have no other apps open etc and it says this after a full restart. Both my Macs are intel core duo.
    Any help greatly appreciated.

I had this same problem occur - here's the fix I found:
Open "Audio MIDI Setup" in /Applications/Utilities/
Under "Properties For:" select "Built-in Output"
In the "Audio Output" section, set the Format to 44100.0 Hz
Close Audio MIDI Setup and try using RealPlayer again, the audio should now work.
I'm running 10.4.10 on an Intel machine and RealPlayer 10.1.
    I hope this helps.

  • Real Player messes up Safari

Using the latest version of Safari 4.04 and I was trying to listen to the audio streams on this page (http://www.walkwiththeking.org/audio.asp) and they were not working so I foolishly downloaded the latest version of Real Player (as I was using a version from 2008). Know I still cant listen to the audio of the page above, but also whenever I go to this website (http://www.oneplace.com/ministries/Backto_theBible/) I cannot listen to the real audio tab as I get a "plug-in not found" error message. The old version installed all worked fine. How can I UPGRADE back to the 2008 version of Real Player?
The latest version was installed as for some reason FireFox works like a charm on the page, yet FF has issues with the Windows Media plug-in while Safari does not, please dont ask me to explain it. So I keep 2 browsers for these hassles.
    John

The latest version of RealPlayer is 11.0.1 and that works with your links, although it takes a while for the audio to start up. Also, your system meets the requirements for that version.
So, something else if preventing you from hearing the audio. Did you close Safari before installing RealPlayer, as well as repair permissions after installing it?
