Unable to download apps for iPad

That's a pretty broad statement that does not tell us at all about anything that you are experiencing other than you can't download apps. A little more help from you would be useful but start here.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.

Perhaps it was a display model at one time in the store and someone registered the OS in their name. I would return to the store with the Mac and show them the stranger's name that appears in the Mac App Store when you try to update Lion. Perhaps it is even an employee. Anyway, they need to set this right by you. A new Mac should not have someone else's Apple ID registered into it. That registration sent the unique identifier to Apple for this Mac and registered it to the person's Apple ID. Not cool.

Facebook is unable to download on new ipad air

Just turned on my new ipad air and set it up. Try to install facebook app but I get the error "Unable to download app. Facebook could not be downloaded at this time"
I have deleted it, restarted ipad, tried to reinstall, doesn't work. Tried resetting ipad settings. Doesn't work.
Is there an issue with the App Store? How do I fix this?

Try this:
1. Turn router off for 30 seconds and on again
2. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

You can try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account (Store > View My Apple ID on iTunes 11) and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that app, click the arrow to the left of it, click the 'Report a Problem' button :
and then the 'Report a Problem' link on its line :
and select 'inadvertently purchased' as the problem and fill in the details (iTunes support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours).

Safari unable to download the file.. not enough free disk space?

Very odd! After filling out Apple's Online Rebate Submission Completion Form, I was asked to print it out by clicking on the supplied link, but instead, I got this prompt:
Safari could not download the file because there is not enough free disk space!
Of course, this is totally ludicrous because I just bought this computer and it has a 500 Gb hard drive!
Any idea what's going on?

Tried using Firefox instead of Safari. The prompt I got in this instance ultimately had to do with changing the permissions on my download folder? Odd.
When I tried to add myself (as the administrator) to the list, the info window crashed. When I clicked on "everyone" and changed permissions to read and write (instead of just read), I was able to download the form as a pdf.

Safari unable to load page after iPad wakes from sleep

I have my WiFi iPad running 4.2.1. Whenever the iPad goes to sleep, when I wake it to access Safari, Safari cannot load a page or reload a page. It says the page cannot be accessed and times out. I always have to go to settings and turn the wifi off and back on. Is there some way to resolve this issue with iPad's Safari?

We are all seeing the same issue on a variety of routers with the common denominator being the iPad on 4.2.1. My 3GS iPhone running on 4.1 has never needed a renew lease while employing the exact same hnetworks that the iPad is using.
We need an app to do renew lease. We could just tap it instead of wading through the setup screens.

Are you trying to download or re-download them ? If re-download, then films can currently only be re-downloaded in the US (and not all film studios are allowing their films to be re-downloaded). If you are trying to download films for the first time then are you getting any error messages ?

How much free space do you have on your iPad : Settings > General > About > Available ? If you've bought the HD version then (if I'm looking at the correct version of the film) it appears to be 5.2 gig that you will need, if it's SD then you will need 2.13 gig.

Safari unable to download, blank screen

when i attempt to download anything it goes into a new tab and appers in a dark screen with the file name in the address bar then stops and does nothing.
i normally fix this by either going to google chorme or somtimes im able to right click the link to the download and click download linked file.

BUMMERS!!! SO what about the PARELLEL program I purchased...I was unable to load that on the IPAD as well..same reason? I thought if I couldn't put firefox on the safari, I'd download the parellel program and then load it up....spent $80 on the program;.....can't use it can I? EERRR there is SO much I cannot do on the I PAD....what a waste. THANKS!
