I only want my widescreen iDvd movie to play in letterbox format on standard TVs, and widescreen on widescreen TVs, just like regular widescreen DVDs.
I am using iMovie and iDVD, can this be done without additional software?

Yes. I fact I have never seen a movie made with iDVD 7 that worked in any other way!

I want to post a quicktime movie that I created in final cut pro as a header on my website. I want this header (video/animation) to behave like a flash video. I want the video header to start automatically, I want it to loop and I don't what people to be able to stop it or download it. I don't have and I'm not experienced with Macromedia Flash. Ok, so I have successfully created a Flash file (.swf) using VisualHub. Now what? Am I supposed to place the flash file somewhere inside the Sites directory in my computer? I haven't published my site to the web yet because I like to see the changes, before I upload the site using FTP to a non .MAC host. Currently my site resides in my Sites folder ( file:///Users/username/Sites/Site/Home.html ). When I go to iweb I click on HTML snippet, enter the following code, but nothing happens. I guess the problem lies with the location (placement) of the flash video file (test1.swf). Could someone tell me what to do? I haven't done this before. Is this the right HTML code?

IDVD is producing a Widescreen DVD for Standard 4.3 footage

Folliowing on from my recent post, I am now using professional encoding setting to produce DVDs of old VHS family footage to DVD - all working great.
Using FCE4 to edit the footage and all ok until today. Doing exactly the same for about 20th time and the DVD working on now has been produced as a widescreen DVD - but the footage was shot before widescreen was thought of.
I've tried again and noticed in iDVD09 that when encoding assets (after DVD menu option is encoded) the video clip image then goes to a widescreen - and that's when I now stop it as don't want any more coasters!!.
Also the widescreen settings are on standard etc in iDVD and the footage as a .mov file opens in QT as standard screen.
Is there anything obvious I am doing wrong or can reset. I have started a new project and the same is still happening.
Any other ideas would be really appreciated!

did that. now getting no messages on anything. opened up messages on the Mac and saw i had been sent many that never showed up on my phone.

If you only want the favicons and not the names of the bookmarks on the bookmarks toolbar, you can do that with the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4072/ Smart Bookmarks Bar] add-on.

I ONLY want my music to transfer to my new iPod touch

I just bought an iPod touch 5 gen and I have my iPod touch 4 gen backed up to iCloud. I only want to transfer my music to my new iPod. I don't want my apps pictures etc transferred, how do i do this? I also didn't buy my music, so does that matter?

iCloud backup only include iTunes purchases.
Also. the iPod backup that iTunes makes does not included any synced media like apps and music.
The only way is to sync non-iTunes purchased music from your iTunes library.

So if I understand you correctly, you want to be able to sync only certain songs, artists, and albums correct? If so you can configure this set up from under the iPod's Music configuration tab in iTunes as described in the Syncing Automatically section in the Apple support document you linked in at the top of the page. Note that you cannot select only certain songs, but you can set it up to sync selected Artists, Genres, and Albums.
If the tab and its configurations are grayed out, it is likely because your iPod is set up for manual management, meaning the manually manage music and videos option is enabled from under the iPod's Summary tab.

This is because I cannont upgrade to Lion and I do not want to get duplicate contacts when I sync from the computer 10.6.8 to my iPhone iOS5. You should not upgrade to Lion upless you have 4GB of ram. Lion does not support rosita so all your old programs will not funtion and you have to repurchase all old software the is working fine.

"Other" is data that the iPod doesn't know how to deal with (but on your nano, it isn't Apps). All iPods have some quantity of "Other" on them. Sometimes Other is corrupt files that cannot be read.
The usual remedy when the quantity of Other becomes too big, is to Restore the iPod. However, 0.26GB of Other doesn't appear to be very much and I suspect you won't see much change, if any, if you Restore.

I agree with Kappy.. passing files and especially via wireless is slow as slow.
Just need to be sure your TC is the new AC model??
And the OS on the computer is Lion?
Have you completed the setup of the TC via the utility? You do still need to get internet via the TC so it has to be plugged into the main router..
Give us the full picture of the network.
Then we can help you get into it.. whether you should put your files on it is another question.

Go to your account on your computer and set the credit card to none. This will allow you to use the gift card.

As far as I know, this is not currently possible. It matches the entire library or none of it. For specific playlist syncing, you'll still need to sync traditionally through iTunes for now.
