  • What happened to the nifty "sync" button in iTunes? It syncs as soon as I plug it in, and that's great! BUT! When I go to the iTunes Store and buy new stuff, I can't just 'sync' the device again so my new stuff gets added. Why?

    Nothing happened to it.
It is still there.  Maybe it says apply now, not sure, but it is still there.

  • Where's the "burn button" on  itunes version 10.2.1?

I'm trying to burn a playlist from itunes to a blank CD. I'm unable to locate the "burn" button on itunes and do not see it under "file" or anywhere else. I'm running itunes version 10.2.1. Can anyone tell me how to to command the itunes program to burn the playlist onto the blank CD. I'm 72 years old, "technologically challenged" so please exuse me if this seems like a stupid question. thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

Again, excuse my ineptness but I don't know how to "right click" on the playlist. I selected the playlist I wish to burn onto the CD but my mouse doesn;t have a right click option.

  • No burn button in itunes 10

After installing iTunes 10 I suddenly no longer have a 'burn playlist' button in the lower right hand corner of the iTunes window. I can still burn from the menu bar but I'm wondering where the burning button went. Now in the right hand corner of the iTunes window are the two buttons associated with Genius. Anyone know where the burn to disc button went to? Thanks!

ok, but where is the button?
There doesn't appear to be one. Perhaps this is something to do with Apple's stated position that CDs and DVDs are on the way out to be replaced by keeping things on the 'Cloud' (the silliest idea since the Sinclair C5).

  • There is no 'purchased' button in iTunes...

I purchased a movie in iTunes Store on my Mac, but when I locate the same movie in iTunes on my iPad, it is not marked as purchased and I don't want to pay for it twice, though I do want to watch it on my iPad, otherwise I would not have paid extra for the HD version
I found the guides here on apples site, where I sould use the 'purchased' button to access previous purchases. The only problem there is that I do not have a purchased button in iTunes on the iPad. I have it on my iPhone, but the playlist only displays purchases made on that unit, not on my account.
Is there really now way to get items purchased on my MBP onto my iPad without having to sync the device and transfer content in iTunes? Should it not be some sort of function, like in app store, where previously purchased/installed apps are "free" to install on you other devices?

    Thanx for clearing that up!
Wow, so the amazing cloud-storage solution, access all you stuff everywhere, doesn't really include Sweden, we don't get the full benefit of the store since we have a limited selection compared to other countries, now there are limitations to services we actually pay for and we cannot use the high-speed 4G wireless network due to technical issues.
This is bull! Someone should loose a nut for not solving these issues, especially since the new iPad runs about 600€ here... Should probably have gone for an mb-air instead
    Thank you anyway

  • TS1646 what if there isn't a button for "none" in the list of payment types?

when i try to edit my payment info there is no option for none next to the list of credit card types. what do i doooo!!?? please help!

I have used some iOS apps that allow both selection and disclosure by replacing the regular Disclosure indicator with a Detail Disclosure button. A list item would only show the detail disclosure button when it has children.  Touching the row will select it; touching the Detail Disclosure button will drill into the children.
    Disclosure indicator.
    Detail Disclosure button.
You probably cannot just configure the storyboard to work like this. But programmatically controlling button appearance and segue to child view controller is straightforward.
This might not exactly follow Apple's UI guidelines since the Detail Disclosure button is intended to show details about an item rather than the item's children.

  • Navigator-view limitations: what if there are too many buttons to show?

I have a page that is really bad design, but I use it to fire up various dialog-paths into my application. For that I've got for every dialog-path a button that is only there to get me to the first page of a series of one business process.
This is where the Navigator-view came in very handy, it allowed me to easily (re-)configure the links on my test-index.html. From every button I would drag a 'line' to the next page.
But after putting 14 or so buttons on this page, I noticed that in the Navigator-view, only 13 buttons are displayed, the 14th and next buttons don't fit on the enlarged (purplish) page, so the navigation from those buttons can't be created using this really handy view on my application.
I might be overseeing something, but there seems to be no way to scroll down to see the buttons that 'fell off' the page.

Unfortunately the nav editor doesn't handle this well. One thing you can try is to switch the layout to draggable layout since I think the pages are slightly larger in that layout mode (see the nav editor context menu).
Another option is to use a combo box to do navigation; make the combo box contain the page case names, have it auto submit, and on submit, have the event handler do something like this:
    getContext().getApplication().getNavigationHandler().handleNavigation(getContext(), null, "" + dropdown1.getValue());
(The select items for the combobox can obviously have different values than display names so your combo can display user friendly page names that are separate from the navigation case names).

  • Where is burn button

I need to burn songs from my library to a CD. I do what it says but there is no burn button at bottom of itunes window, nor is the burn option available in the drop down menu under File.
    Please advise.

You need to create a playlist with the songs you want to burn, then select the playlist.
The burn button will then be available.

  • I shot an iPhone5 movie, put it in iMOvie (9.0.4) couldn't get it on the desktop, put in in iDVD, couldn't locate the burn button. Foiled?

I shot a video on my iPhone5 (UPSIDE -DOWN!), put it in iMOvie and flipped it (successfully) and couldn't get it onto the desktop to email to someone. My computer told me I had to put into iDVD first in order to burn a DVD of it, so I did (took an hour). Then it said to click on the "burn button (shown below)". Well, there's no burn button that I can find. Plus there's no "Burn CD" option on any of the drop-down menus.

    Hi ccandjs,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
It sounds like what your are really trying to do is export the movie project to your desktop so that you can share it via email. What I would suggest in this situation would be exporting the movie via QuickTime to a location on your computer. Please reference the following article for instructions on how to do so.

If you want more information on using iDVD to make a movie, I suggest reading over the following information.

  • What happened to right-click burn disk?

If I recall correctly, if you wanted to burn a cd before, you put the blank cd in the Mac then dragged the files you wanted to burn on top of the cd icon and then right-clicked the cd icon and chose "burn-disk". This seems to be gone in Leopard for some reason.

you can still do it almost as easily. there is a burn button next to the CD icon in finder sidebar and there is another one if you open the CD in finder. as to why it was removed from the right-click menu you have to ask apple. this is a user to user forum and nobody here can answer that.
