TA44551 when you have you ipod pugged in and i will not charge and you have tried it on two different computers what is wrong with it
i have know idea what has gone wrong with my ipod but it wont charge at all and i need it to fix because i have lost the reciept to the ipod there fore i cannot take it back and get a refound please can someone help me to fix it i dont want to spead alot of money to take it to the apple store it would be great if you could help.
Place it in recovery mode by:
Placing your device into recovery mode
Follow these steps to place your iOS device into recovery mode. If your iOS device is already in recovery mode, you can proceed immediately to step 6.
Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
Note: If you see the screen pictured below, let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some charge, and then start with step 2 again.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears you can release the Home button:
If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the following "recovery mode" alert:
Use iTunes to restore the device.
If you don't see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, try these steps again. If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen but the device does not appear in iTunes

I just got my iPhone and was adding music to it, but I have my music on two different computers, both of which I have songs I want to add to my iPhone. I was just wondering if there is a way to sync music from two different computers without having to transfer all my music to one computer?
iTunes includes a backup to disc feature with an option to backup content purchased from the iTunes Music Store only or all iTunes content - burned to CD.
You can do this and then transfer your backed up iTunes data to the other computer.
The iPhone was not designed nor intended to be a backup device or a transfer device of iTunes content from one computer to another as Ansuz82 provided to prevent music piracy.
It is always the few that would abuse such a feature if available that spoils it for the majority that wouldn't. -
I HATE my new MACBOOK PRO, it will not let me open any PDF files and I downloaded the ADOBE READER three freaking times and it keeps saying that all the files are corrupt or damaged. I would rather have my 2008 Dell at this point. what is wrong with this thing
Perhaps the PDF files are corrupted.
Hit the command key and spacebar, a blue Spotlight in the upper right hand corner appears, now type Preview and press return on the Preview program.
Now you can try opening the PDF's from the file menu and see what's going on.
If they are corrupted, perhaps they are trojans from your Windows PC or gotten from a bad location online.
Download the free ClamXav and run a scan on the possibly infected folder. -

Check USB connections
If there’s an issue with the USB port, cable, dock, or hub, or if the device becomes disconnected during restore, try troubleshooting the USB connection, then troubleshooting your security software.
Common errors: 13, 14, 1600-1629, 1643-1650, 2000-2009, 4000, 4005, 4013, 4014, 4016, “invalid response”, and being prompted to restore again after a restore completes.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
Use another USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port on your computer.
Try a different dock connector (or no dock).
Add (or remove) a USB hub between your device and computer.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, with no routers, hubs, or switches.
If you see your error after changing your USB connections, continue to the next section to troubleshoot your hardware.

TS2771 Ipod connects to tv, but will not charge or sync
My ipod was charging fine on my drive home. I connected it to my tv with the video cable and was watching netflix. Then I got a message that the battery was at less than 20%, even though the ipod had been connected to the wall charger the entire time I was watching.
I've tried every charger, every cable, every dock, and every computer I own now, and it will not charge with any of them. Neither my desktop or laptop will recognize that it is connected. The ipod never shows that it is connected or charging. I tried pushing the power & home buttons to reset it and still have the same problem. The reset made no difference. And I'm low on power so there's not much else I can do before it completely runs out of charge.
Any idea why it would give out on me so suddenly, or what I can do to fix it?

Let me do anything eles. What's wrong with it. This is the second time it's done it todayI am experiencing the same thing on log out, not all the time but too often. I can get going again by shutting down with the power button, waiting 10 sec. then pressing the power button to boot up again. I have run Disk Utilities, Techtool Deluxe and Disk Warrior which all indicate everything is OK. So I am hoping someone will be able to help us with this issue.

For about a month, I have to charge my iPhone 4S using my laptop UBS connection. It will not charge from the wall unit. I always update the OS. Is there any settings that I might have changed by mistake?
I have the same issue with my partners 4S. I have a iphone 4 and my phone works on mains powers - we have 3 different charges we have all tried on hers and do not work but work on mine. We have tried every outlet in the house and same issue, works on mine doesnt work on her 4S.
The issue only started about a month ago. It started with only charging from mains if turned off - then the phone would refuse to stay turned off - now it wont charge at all from mains but works fine from a PC.
Its a very odd one as if it was something wrong with the docking port it surely shouldnt work through PC then? -
I have the ishuffle 2nd generation. When I plug it it, itunes recognizes it but the light flashes green a few times and then stops. It is not charging. Is the battery dead or can something else be wrong? Any advice??
To rule out a problem with the shuffle's onboard software, I would try a Restore on the shuffle using iTunes. The Restore button is on the shuffle's Settings screen in iTunes. This will erase the shuffle, reinstall its software, and set it to default settings.
If that does not help, you should do a test to confirm there is not a problem on the USB port, such as lack of power to operate the iPod and charge it battery. Shut down (power off) the computer and disconnect all USB devices including hub, except for standard keyboard and mouse (if normally used). If the computer is a laptop, connect its power adapter (so that it's not running on battery power). Do this to reset the shuffle

Start up computer, run iTunes, and connect shuffle to a direct USB port on the computer.
If that does not help, it is more likely that the problem is a hardware problem on the shuffle, such as the battery. -

Wrong term, perhaps, but I did finally drain it to the low battery warning. When reattached to the ac adapter, it will sleep when the play button is held down, or when sleep is selected from the main menu. After 1hr charge, I detached it and tried to do the same and it would not work.
I reattached it to the charger, and will let it finish charging. Sleep works again after I hook it back up - it's weird that it won't do it on it's own, though. -
I've tried using my sister's after market power cord and it recognizes that an accessory has been plugged in but it won't charge. The cord does charge my sister's 5. I've also purchased 3 adapters and put them on my 4s power cords and the same thing happens. Only the power cord they came with the phone will charge it. Ipod touch 4g new battery will not charge
I replaced the battery and I still get the low battery charging icon. Everything that I read indicated that the problem was with the battery. When not connected, to the charger I cannot get anything to work at all - just a blank screen with no indication that there is any power. The only time I see any indication of life is when plugged in (I see the charging icon and a very low battery image).
This is the same thing I saw before I replaced the battery so I do not appear to have changed anything. Prior to the problem the iPod was powered off for about a month. I thought that the extended time off killed the battery but now I am really puzzled.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.Bring it back to Apple, they may have not seated the cable/connector correctly, or the cableconnector has an issue, or there is a problem with the charging circuit. Bring in your power adaoter with you as well. Apple repairs come with 30 day warranty
