Tab Access - can I make them disappear?

I have recently started working with the access settings in Portal and am wondering if it's possible to make tabs invisible to users who don't have access to them? (I've noticed that you can make items invisible through item level security)
For example, I have given a specific user access to only 3 out of 7 tabs along the top of my screen. However, when they log on, they are still able to see all 7 tabs - they can't access all of them, but I would rather they can't see them at all.
Is this possible?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I want the user shld be access to only that which they require.Suppose i have 3 tabs when user1 logs in i shld make him to see only two tabs i.e Home,Location and when user2 login i shld make him to see 2 tabs i.e Home,HR.I have already seen the tabs level acces but then also user1 login he see 3 tabs which is wrong.pls tell me how u have done.Pls properly give an example and proper steps wise.

I had thought this situation was solved but it just got worse. In addition to being without service for several days I am now being charged a cancellation fee for a broadband service that BT disconnected in error. BT Vision was also terminated by BT but the set up charges are still in place. Does anyone know who the relevant Ombudsman is? I called BT from America on Friday - for an hour - while someone called Aruj sorted out why there is an order 'in progress' that I didn't initiate; why I have fees relating to a problem created by BT and why there are references to a house move that didn't take place and a BT Vision service I no longer have but didn't cancel myself. He assured me it would be rectified and my bill would be reduced by 139 pounds and we would get confirmation of this later that day. I asked him what chance there was that this would not actually happen - he said no chance at all; my new bill would be 23.50.
There was no text message. An online chat person today told me there had been a fee reduction request which had been declined and there was nothing else he could help me with as he dealt only with broadband. But he would get BT Vision to email me. They always seem so helpful.............
I'm sure I'm listed somewhere as 'a problem', there's no other explanation for why I get the runaround

Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.

That got me closer, but I'm not quite there yet. On each ofthe two computers I've allowed all users File Sharing and Remote Management. Each computer has an address 192.168.1.2 (or 4). When I enter those addresses into "connect to server" the reponse is either 'drop box' or 'public folder'. So it seems that only very basic sharing is allowed. I have'nt set up a public folder on either one.

I want to export my 3D bar charts as PDFs, but they export without anti-aliasing or smooth vector lines. The bars are jaggy, not clean. How can I make them higher quality?
I've checked my system settings and those in Acrobat 7 Professional, the 'smoothing' is turned on. I can't find any similar posts here either.

I'm afraid the audio is an 'on page' function and will cease playing if you change pages. As to the size of the audio buttons, it is possible to make an image up to replace the standard audio button, but be advised that this just starts the audio, it cannot be used to pause it like the standard button can.
The standard button is sized so that it is easy to hit with a finger - if you make it too small triggering the audio will become problematic.
