My tabs and links stopped working. It was fine one night, and the next day nothing worked right.

One night Firefox was working perfectly. The next day (I didn't make any changes) my tabs and links didn't work. What could be wrong?

Have you tried plugging the iPod into a different USB port or using a different USB cable to see if that makes a difference?

Nothing happens when i click the tab and links wont work?

usually my tab icon works but the past couple of days i click on it and nothing happens. its becoming frustrating that i have to open alot of firefox windows. also when i click on links it opens a new window not a tab and the window is blank. Please help.

Using safari,clicking on anything for example on google tabs and links it goes to download

last night on my imac, when i opened safari,home page was google, if i clicking on any tab or link in google web page ,straight away safari starts download, although i didnt clicked on anything downlodable, i wonder why this is happening and how to fix it? many thanks
also minimising any page to dock bar is obviosly ver slow

once you launch safari,google home page, if you click on news,shopping, maps,gmail tabs, each of these will go to download something and you can see download activity going on depends on the size,if you try to minimize any page it will drag very slowly to dock bar

Remove Recently Modified text and links

I am new to CSS. Here are the instructions I am using to remove recently modified text and links below it:
Type in the CSS code below in red into Notepad without the quotes. Save the file.
“<style> .s4-recentchanges{ DISPLAY:none; } </style>”
Upload to file to your SharePoint site. Copy the link of the file.
Go to Edit mode of the page where you want the “Recently Modified” link to disappear.
Add a Content Editor webpart (under Media and Content) on the page.
Edit the webpart.
In the Content Link box, paste the URL you copied in 2) above.
Under Chrome Type, select None.
Click OK.
I created the file but am not sure where do I upload the file (site assets, etc). This should have an .css extension. Does this webpart go at the top or bottom of the page.

I am using the newest firfox 7.1 and i can not click on any tab or link within an inch below the toolbar.

i am using the newest firefox 7.1 and i can not click on any tab or link within an inch below the toolbar. It is like that area of the screen is a deadzone. I can see links and info but can not click or access anything in that zone. so on facebook i can not log out or access account because it wont click on anything. I have tried clearing my browser and reinstalling firefox. It is not just FB, other sites have the same issue. Any help

I open a new tab and nothing works until I click anywhere, get redirected to a different tab, close that one, then I can follow links on tab I wanted to open.

When I open a new tab, for instance if I search on a topic and there are several sites that seem promising, I will open them in new tabs. I can scroll over the links or text on the new tab and the cursor doesn't react.The new tab has fully loaded but the cursor will not recognize text or links. Before anything will work first I have to left-click anywhere on the page. I get redirected to a new tab, invariably a trusted offer or survey. When I close that other tab, then the first tab acts normal. I scroll over it and the cursor recognizes the text and the links.

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.

To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
#Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Is there a way to select MULTIPLE tabs and then copy ALL of the the URLs and titles/or URLs+titles+HTML links? This can be done with the Multiple Tab Handler add on; However, I prefer to use a Firefox feature rather than download an add on. Thanks.

Currently, I can copy ONE tab's url and nothing else (not its name). Or I can bookmark all tabs that are open. However, I'd like to have the ability to select multiple tabs and then copy ALL of the the URLs AND their titles/or copy ALL of the URLs+titles+HTML links? This can be done with the Multiple Tab Handler add on; when I download the add on, I get a message saying that using the add on will disable Firefox's tab features. You should definitely be able to upload multiple files by Shift-clicking or Ctrl-clicking the files you want to upload. Just to make sure you don't have an old version of the service cached, please clear the browser cache and then log in to https://cloud.acrobat.com/files. After clicking the File Upload icon in the upper-right corner, you should be able so select multiple files for upload.

New tabs are not updating the names of the sites they have loaded. When I open a new tab and load a site, the tab simply stays named "New Tab". When I open a link in a new window, it shows "Connecting..." even while its fully loaded.

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Ever since I updated, I can no longer right click on links, choose "Open Link in a new tab" and expect it to do anything at all. WTF!

I should note, I am using the latest version as of today, I am using the portable version, and I have a TON of addons, a list of which I can post if I have to. Any Ideas what could be causing this? I use the "Open link in a New Tab" option every single day. I don't want to have to hit some special button to do so like my current temporary workaround with tab mix plus, I miss the old method, the option is still there in the context menu, but it won't do a single thing ever :(. Also not working is "Open Link in This Tab" and "Open Link in Duplicated Tab" (Not that I ever use those ones so who give a F). "Open Links in New Tabs" Still works though, but not for single links, so its not an ideal workaround. I can't afford to simply reset the browser, my settings, my addons, everything would be gone. I could back it up with FEBE but then I would be right back where I started. :(

Guys, I should wrap this up and let you all know so this page may help those experiencing the Firebug Context Menu Glitch. It's messed up, that was one of my favourite programs :(. Now looking for a version that doesn't do that.

Empty the Safari cache more often.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Select: Show Develop menu in menu bar
Now click Develop from the menu bar. From the drop down menu click Empty Caches.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

I guess what I have experienced might be a special case of 'Restore previous sessions'. The actual situation was that after I rebooted my laptop, Adobe update jumped out indicating an update being finished successfully. After I clicked on the 'close' button of the Adobe window, it automatically started firefox and linked to its website. But I did not find the 'Restore previous sessions' page this time. Then I restarted firefox, this time there was a start page with 'Restore previous sessions'. However, sadly enough, it is only restored my pinned pages plus the Adobe website. Actually, I am using 'bookmark all tabs' from time to time to secure opened tabs, but this time I did not expect such an incident. I would suggest to improve the 'Restore previous sessions' with multiple time tags and appear in all cases including my reported case here, after updating firefox, crashes etc. I like firefox in most occasions, therefore believe and hope it becomes better and more robust. Also you could try the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/session-manager/ Session Manager] add-on which gives more control over how sessions are restored.

I am running 3.6.12 and my new tab and/or window actions are the same. How can i open new links within apps into new tabs?

I used to be able to control new tab actions such as opening on top of current tab or in a new tab. This is frustrating as i always cover up where I am or was! How can this be corrected so I can open a new tab in a new tab? I am enrolled in an on-line class and can not open tabs in a new tab as needed as it always places the new tab on top of teh current or old tab.
Funny as i use to complain about opening in new windows!
I am missing how to control new tabs and new window actions?

Did you ever made changes to the prefs browser.link.open_newwindow and browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction yourself on the about:config page?

When I click to open anything I get a box saying open link in new window, open link in new tab, download linked file etc. When I go to close anything I get hide toolbar, customize toolbar. It takes 3-5 clicks and it will finally close.

In Firefox Options / Privacy be sure "Remember download history" is checked. To see all of the options on that panel, "Firefox will" must be set to "Use custom settings for history".
To find your OS information, on your Windows desktop, right-click the My Computer icon, choose Properties, under System on that small window is info about your OS.
