Tab Pages Web item

Dear Experts,
I have created a web template which have tab page item and also two web template web item.
when i display it the first tab is showing the attached web template item fine. but when i go to second tab page still its showing the first web template only instead of second.
what could be the reason and how to rectify it.

Hi,
Create 2 Separted Web Templates for Example. Web Temp 1 (having report XX1) and Web temp 2 (having report XX2).
After that Create New Web Template FINAL --> in Advance Tab --> Drag and Drop Tab Pages Web Item. After that Tab Pages Web Item properties --> Table Pannel is there in that create new Tab Pannel --> it will open new window in that click on Actiavtion _Action it shows like Command : Set Web Template --> Click on that and give me your Web Template Name Web Temp 1 (As above Example) Under that Open New Window option is Check it as ON.
For Second Web Temp 2 --> Tab Pages Web Item properties --> Table Pannel is there in that create new Tab Pannel --> it will open new window in that click on Actiavtion _Action it shows like Command : Set Web Template --> Click on that and give me your Web Template Name Web Temp 2 (As above Example) Under that Open New Window option is Check it as ON.

will try to write as much detail steps as i can...
drag tab page web item in wad window
go to its properties
for e.g. u currently have only 1 tab page
than name tab page1 as p1
hit button with ..
this will let u add new heading to tab page 2
likewise save heading of 4 tab pages in properties of tab pages
now choose container web item
drag it in tab pages window
assign seperate analysis item in each container item
assign seperate queries in each analysis web item.
assign container1 to tab page1
assign container2 to tab page2
assign container3 to tab page3
assign container4 to tab page4
and their heading viceverssa
save it execute it
now u will have 4 queries in 4 container item and uc an see that in different tab pages.

Using Tab Pages & Web Template Web Items

Hi Experts,
i want to build a report with a tabs
i have created a WAD report with a tab page web item
in the tab page i have inserted three web template web items
and in each web item i have entered a diffrent technical name of a WAD report (3 reports)
but when i run the report i get in all three tab pages
the data of the first report (like it uses DP_1 of the first one)
i have tried to change in the reports the name of the data providers
to DP_7 or whatever and it is not working still.
any one know how to display three WAD reports in a tab page web item?

for one clair example you can install the 0Analyzer web template - the standard sap web template that use TABs with different reports inside

Tab page web address

Every time i open a new tab, the following page opens www.news.net/index.php?referid=134
It is really annoying as it starts playing videos and stuff and generates pop ups from it too even though i have a pop up blocker on firefox and a separate one too but still manages to push them onto the desktop.
Any help is appreciated.

Tab Pages in WAD

Hi all!
I'm having some problems with Tab Pages Web Item. It only allows me to reference a Analysis Web Item as Subordinate Web Item. It doesn't show any other web item already included on Tab Pages on the combo box to do the selection. I need to reference a Container because there are several items to be displayed on each tab.
Is it a bug?(WAD 7.10, support package 3, revision 387).
Or may be a missing setting...

Sorry but you are incorrect. You can have as many objects on a single tab page as you like although you have to group items into a container and reference the container as a subordinate item.
I am on the latest patch for GUI6.40 BI frontend (patch 16). My issue is I cannot add ANY subordinate items to a tab page. Nor will the tab page pick up the caption I have added. It just displays ??. Is this a(nother) bug in the BI7 tools?

0ANALYSIS_PARTTEN and TAB pages

I want to use 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN template for all my data providers in my web template which have a TAB pages with two tabs, each of the tab is supposed to show me the analysis for one data provider. So tab1 will show me SDF query and tab2 will show me reveune query. Can someone show me how to do this? I tried many different ways but every time, it only showed me one data provider on both tab. My question is how I can associate 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN with mulitple data providers in TAB pages. Thanks in advance for any help on this topic.

Tab Page web item got several attributes i.e. Initial Tab Index, Tab Panel List.
1.Put 2 Analysis web items in Tab Web Item. set ANALYSIS1 as VISIBLE and ANALYSIS2 as HIDDEN.
2. In the Tab Panel List, you need to create 2 Tabs. every tab will be associated with Actions. You can see the same in above link as 'Activation Action'.
3. Click on Activation Action for Tab1. which will intern open Command Wizard. select the 'SET WEB ITEM Properties' Command for 2 ANALYSIS web items. set ANALYSIS1 as VISIBLE and ANALYSIS2 as HIDDEN (you need to put 2 commands i.e. one for Analysis1 , other one for analysis2) and DATAPROVIDE_1 as source of Data.
4. Click on Activation Action for Tab2. which will intern open Command Wizard. select the 'SET WEB ITEM Properties' Command for 2 ANALYSIS web items. set ANALYSIS1 as HIDDEN and ANALYSIS2 as VISIBLE (you need to put 2 commands i.e. one for Analysis1 , other one for analysis2) and DATAPROVIDE_2 as source of Data.
save and publish your Template ... you will see required output.

Hi guys,
I would like to ask if it is possible to format the caption part of the tap pages (maybe css). In my case captions are pretty long that is why I them in 2 or 3 lines.

I gess you used SET_SELECTION_STATE_BY_BINDING in Analysis paramter SELECT_ROWS, to display tab2 automatically try to set paramter INITIAL_TAB of tab pages web item, if it doesn't work try also to forece refresh by setting VISIBILITY paramter.

Actual quantity in service tab page becoming zero after updation

Dear friends,
We updated validity start date, end date in header and the field "form.val.2" in service tab page in item details of a service line item(item category D) in a Purchase order using the function module 'BAPI_PO_CHANGE'. After updation we observed the actual quantity (which denotes the total GR qty) becoming zero, making the PO completely open and allowing creation of service entry sheet for full quantity. This happend for so many POs. Now we want to correct the actual quantity. But as it is in display mode it now become difficult to change the actual quantity through any function module.
Seeking for a genuine solution about how to correct the actual quantity.

Hi all,
we using BI 7.0 Support Package 14 SAP Gui 6.40.
Any one have step by step doc regarding WAD ( Web Item: Tab pages with Hyperlinks to another web template) with screen shots?

With the Web item parameters of the tab container -> go to Internal Display -> Tab panel
You will see * Tab Panel -> click one the . next to it, do this 3 times, and name you're tab. (now you have made 3 tabs)
Now you won't see them appear in the lay-out (they never will appear there)
Now just make 3 containers (one for each tab) and in these containers, put all the needed components and stuff, define them (properties and stuff)
If you have done that, click on the tab container and go to the Web item parameters of the tab container -> go to Internal Display -> Tab panel
-> click one the . of your first tab
You'll get a new window "Determine Parameters for the Web Item"
-> Subordinate Web Item -> click on the arrow and choose the container that contains the components for the first tab> Do this for all you tabs
=> this is binding the containers to the tabs
You're now ready to execute and you'll see there that there are tabs and the tabs contain te components of the container taht you linked o you're tab.

SAP Tab Example Hides unrelated web items...

Hi, The example SAP gives for using tabs in reporting works fine except if I have other web items on the page.
If I have other items on the page those also dissappear never to be seen again. Can anyone help me to override this behavior?

I found out why my other objects were being hidden. My other objects were TABLE_1 and TABLE_2. So, because they began with TAB* they were hidden. I just prefixed them with something else and now they remain.

WEB.show_document in Browser Tab Pages

Hi
This problem occurs in IE7 which makes use of tab pages on the web browser. I'm using forms 10g, web.show_document(v_url, '_BLANK') to pop up a browser window in IE to display a PDF file residing on the App Server.
The new browser window pops up in IE and displays the pdf document fine. The window title and address bar contain the correct url (a rather long one). The problem I have is that the browser tab page is labelled "Error" which immediately causes concerns amongst the users. I'm not sure if it does this because it does not know what to label the tab page or if the URL is perhaps too long.
Is there any way to rename / relabel the tab page or set the name or alias somewhere? I'll appreciate any advice on the issue...

Creation of additional drop downs in 'Item overview' tab page on portal

Hi,
I would like to know how do we add additional fields/drop downs on the xRPM portal in the 'Item Overview' tab page.
For eg:
We are having TECHNOLOGY TYPE field at Item overview tab page in xRPM portal - Portfolio Management view. Wherein we can have different dropdown values for selection.
Question 1 -> Can we have similar dropdown created on the same page? If yes, how?
Question 2 -> If we want to create more than one such dropdowns with their own defined dropdown values, can we maintain the dependency between them ?

I went through the document on the mentioned by you.
But my requirement is a bit diiferent.
I want to have 3 different drop downs with a numeric field attached to them.The sum of these numeric fields should always be 100 (two values are manually selected but the third value should be calculated automatically based on the previously selected values).
Example,
I select 10 as a value for Drop down 1, 40 for drop down2 then for the drop down3 the value should populate automatically as 50 (100 - (10+40)).i.e. the sum being 100.
Can you or any one please help me with this.
Also I am not sure how do we give multiple options for selection (like 10,20,..50 etc upto 100) for a drop down.

here is how you restore or change your new tab. Thanks to jscher2000 in another post.

Querying a Form/Tab Page Change/Applicaiton Items

I have what I think should be a fairly simple thing to do but am struggling. I have an application item that is set when the user logs on. I have several tabs that open various reports/forms. All I want is that when the user clicks on one tab a form is opened but with a record queried back ready for update with the query being restricted with the value of the application item (application item contains primary key). I have tried setting the default value of the primary key to the application item but no luck. If I manually call the form with primary key column argument:value set in the url the record is queried fine, but you cannot set these items on a tab page change, any help greatly appreciated

Define an unconditional before header page process or a before-header page computation
Set the page-item corresponding to the PK of the form's base table to have the value contained in the application item

App tabs and web page tabs not saved when Apple Mac is powered down

Using Firefox with Apple Mac running OS X v 10.7.1 and Parallels 6, and Windows Vista as a virtual computer. Have Firefox 6.o installed on the Mac and Firefox 6.0 for Windows installed within Microsoft Vista running under Parallels 6 as a virtual machine.
Issue 1) Within Mozilla on the Mac whenever I power down and restart the computer all my app tabs and web page tabs are lost except for my home page, even though I have set up Firefox preference to remember my open web pages/tabs.
Issue 2) Within Firefox running within Vista on the virtual machine my web pages are remembered but I cannot figure out how to create a app tab.

Tabs are only saved if you close (Firefox > Quit) the Firefox application while those tabs are still showing. If you close a window and still have the menu bar visible then you wont reopen already close tabs. You may need to be able to reopen the three last closed windows via History > Recently closed Windows.
