Tab set issue

i am working on dv since a month where we have a tab set component, initially i was able to add or remove a new tab.i have started working on a dv with three tabs. now i need to another tab.
when i try to add new tab am unable to see the new tab in unpreview mode where as it is visible in prievew mode. and when i try to select the new tab canvas and trying to add components to the new tab they are not getting added in the new tab but they are getting added in the existing tab.. and am unable to c those components in the new tab in unpreview and preview mode.can any one help me out with this issue asap.

for some scenarios I am not finding records in any of the tab pages and in such situations I get this error.
Are you trying to Disble all the tab pages? Actually u can't disable / hide all the tab pages. Atleast 1 tab page should be enabled / visible.
Instead, If you are using a different block, then u can make the update allowed, insert allowed to false.

Export to Word loses tab setting

I am very new to Crystal Reports with VS.net and have run into a problem that I hope isn't a bug.
I am creating a report that needs to be able to be exported to Word (it gets sent to the printer for inclusion in a program). Several of the text objects are formatted with right tabs set at the right edge of the object. Everything lines up perfectly when the report is viewed in the Report viewer and when I export to a pdf, but when I export to Word the right tabs are converted to left tabs and the text aligned to them is out of view.
Anyone have a clue as to why this is happening and if there is a way to fix it?

Sorry - no pointers. Other than patience - this is a known issue, probably to be addressed in Service Pack 3 of Crystal reports. I have seen one or two reports of people using the below KBase with success (you'll have to modify the reg key to reflect CRVS2010). But most have no success. Testing this I did not have any success either, nor did I see the CRVS2010 engine looking for any of the keys noted in the KB....

Tab Set Label Colors - How do I change the selected tab label color?

No matter what color I tell it to use for the Labels - Selected color I get white. Is this a known bug in the system or am I not doing something correct. I have a tab set component and a label based menu selector component on my display. I've set up the labels and backgrounds for both components exactly the same but I can only get white for the selected tab set label.

You can set the color of Tab Set by using the Following Steps.
--> Select the Tab Set
--> From the the Properties Window
--> Select Appearance
--> There are Two Tabs "Text" and "Color"
--> From the Color Tab you can Select the Background Color
--> Tab BackGrounds Or Labels from here you can select the color.
But this setting will Apply to all the Tabs in a Tab Set, I think you can't set the Specific Setting for a single Tab in a Tab Set.

I believe what Purnima was speaking of was the Tab Background color properties.
However, I believe there is an issue with the Label Over Color and Label Selected Color mapping properties of the Tab Set.

If your ipod gets wet, it can cause the buttons to activate all by themselves. This can cause the volume to go up, down.
If you have a headset with buttons on the wire, check there first. Try a different set of headphones and see what the result is.
Finally, if the volume is changing a huge amount but only for certain tracks, there is an adjustment you can make on individual tracks in iTunes. Do a get info on one of the tracks doing this, then click the Options tab. Note that there is a volume adjustment slider. Make sure it is set to none.

Tab Setting in Code Style

JDeveloper 11.1.1.3 (PS2)
We're using a code style with
-- Indentation Size = 4
-- Use Tab Character = Checked
-- Tab Size = 4
Every time we restart JDeveloper, my documents appear to be reformatted with a tab setting of 2, although the code style still says it's 4. I can reformat the document by going into Code Style, and clearing the Tab Checkbox. I then have to go back in and recheck it. Can someone please take a look?

There appear to be bugs filed for this and related issues already (c.f. bug#9793235). They are marked as fixed in 11.1.2 or 11.1.1.4 (depending on the bug) - I guess you could file an SR and ask for a backport to 11.1.1.3

Tab Set Container

Dear Xcelsius experts:
do you know if there is a way to hide a component outside of tab set depending on what tab i chose?
i have a combo box that drives the data on tab 1 and tab 3 (when i chose element from combo box on tab 1, i would like it be chosen in the combo box on tab 3 appropriately and vice versa, but do nto seem to be able to do it). and i would like to have this combo box invisible when i chose Tab2.
any ideas will be highly appreciated

I had the same issue but I solve this but different approach like
I used three panels in the 3 tabs
so I use combo box in tab 1 and tab 3 but not in tab2
I achieved the next problem if selection made in Ist tab combo should effect 3rd tab combo box by
Go to-->properties of both combo boxes in tab 1 and tab 3 >behaviour>selected items
Type: Dynamic
Item: lable as per your choice(Like Destination Cell of combo box)
By this what ever you select in combo box of 1st tab will same thing will select by combo box of 3rd tab

Tab Set not showing for Parent Tab - Bug?

(I figured someone else has experienced this issue, but after searching with multiple words I haven't found a thread.)
Using Application Express 4.0.2.00.07. The application in question is using Theme 7 - Modern Blue
My APEX application has over 20 pages and a lot of tabs, so I decided to create 2 new parent tabs (for a total of 3 parent tabs) and then assign the tabs to different tab sets so that I won't run out of horizontal space for all the tabs.
As best that I can tell everything with the parent tabs is set up correctly. I even had another developer look over everything I set up. The two newly created 2 parent tabs don't show their tab set of tabs when I click them. The parent tab that was first created still works, but not the 2 new ones. When we maintain everything via the tab interface everything looks OK, but when we look at the pages they are still assigned to the original tab and I don't see a way to change the tab set on the page level. We copied and deleted a page and when we did the page and its tab displays with the correct parent tab.
Is this a bug? It seems to be. It seems that creating the parent tab does not cascade down to the page level.
Also, regardless if it is a bug, is there a way to change the tab set at the page level? I hate to copy a lot of pages and delete the orignal pages, but maybe that's the only work around.
Also, maybe this is a theme issue? I know that some themes don't handle certain aspects correctly.

I think I figured it out. There is a section on the page where you can change the Tab Set. It is under Display Attributes.

Parent Tab Set Problem with 1.6

Hi,
I came across a small issue when trying to add tabs (2 sets) to a non tab enabled application. Here are the steps to reproduce it:
1. Switch page default theme to 2 tab sets (edit theme)
2. Click on tabs link in page editor, takes you to tab manager with 2 add buttons, one on parent and one on tab set.
3. Click add parent (opens create parent tab wizard)
4. Enter Parent Tab Label then click next
5. Error: Tab set or new tab set must be specified.
It seems that the only way to create a parent tab set is through the new application wizard (defaults to main) or through the standard tab set wizard (Tab Parent). Do you think this should also be available through the create parent wizard?
I also had some problems with the automatic naming of the tabs. The wizards seem to be a little inconsistent, sometimes asking for a label (and deriving the name) and other times asking for the name. It gets very confusing when you have tabs and parent tabs named the same, especially with the addition of parent tab set and tab sets. Would it be possible to use a different prefix for the different tab types, e.g.
PTS_XXX (parent tab set)
PT_XXX (parent tab)
TS_XXX (tab set)
T_XXX (tab)
I'm really impressed with this product, but I think the tabs section tripped me up the most (page templates, page attributes, parent tab sets, parent tabs, tab sets, tabs, etc.) and the manual kind of glossed over a lot of it.

Ok, look at your files in Photoshop. What is the profile assigned to them? You can find this out by going to the Status bar at the bottom, clicking on the right-pointing triangle and choosing document Profile from the list.
Then in Windows, go to your Control Panel > Color Management and add sRGB (if it isn't there) and select it as your default profile.
I hope that will work.

Ignore Tab-Setting in a JTextPane

Hi Scott,
unfortunately I made a stupid thing, being too smart and updating the FLOWS_020200.wwv_SOMETHING_tabs record, modifying parent tab of the problematic tab to main. Doing that caused the complete application to disappear from the Application builder. I guess some checksums in APEX internal objects were modified and that is the result.
Fortunately I had a recent export of an application, so I didn't loose too much. That also means that I can not help myself with "as of" export.
Could you please just tell if recreating parent tabs is possible by "clicking through apex screens" or should there be some hacking used.

Problem: Two Tab Sets for one page

Hello everyone. I have two tab sets and each tab set has one common tab, for example an "About" tab that redirects the user to page 25 when clicked. The tab set works perfectly for the first tab set but when I'm in the second tab set and I click "About" the other tabs change to the first tab set.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem without having to create multiple "About" pages?

My requirement is to have two main windows in the same page. For each line item it is triggering a new page. In the first page both the windows are displayed as expected but in the second page only the first main window (MAIN00) is getting triggered and the second main window (MAIN01) is not triggered.

Display the panel container when user select the specific tab in a tab set

Hi SAP Experts,
I've faced some problems and i would like to seek some help from the experts.
Basically, my requirement is to display the component "panel container" which contains some data whenever a user select e.g. Tab "A" of my component Tab set. Similarly, it hides again when the user select Tab "B" and another panel container appear for it.
I am not sure if this is achievable in Xcelsius. Experts, please advise me.
