Tab title is changing to "connecting" after page has loaded

Yesterday, my tabs in firefox started to act a little bit odd. When (only when) tab has loaded few seconds pass and tab title changes to "Connecting...". Before title change to "Connecting...", tab title is as it should be - webpage title. And this is happening to all tabs. I have opened like 12 tabs all the time. Is someone familiar with this situation? I don't have tab renamizer installed. Thanks

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Creating a profile":
*http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

  • Tab titles dont change according to website title. It says either New Tab or Connecting...

I downloaded and Installed FF4 yesterday from FF website. I am not able to see the Tab Titles. It shows either "New Tab" or says "Connecting... " even though the Page has loaded fully.

I seem to have solved my own problem. When I disabled the add-on "Tab Renamizer" everything started working fine.

  • Changing template after page has been created

    Hey,
Does anyone if this can be done?
I created three pages as Welcome, Casting and Contact Us and I want to merge those pages under a different template so is it possible without having to totally re-create the website?
    Later,
    Chris

Sorry, you can't change templates under a page that is already created.
My advice would be to add three new pages -- Welcome, Casting and Contact Us -- using the new templates you want, then copy and paste your text from the original three pages before deleting them.
Of course, you still may need to change the typeface to match the typeface on the new template. But who knows, maybe the old typeface on the new template may look fine. Depends on which templates you are using.
If you don't have much copy on your site, it may be simpler just to start over.

  • How to resize the embeded player in a page after it has loaded?

    Hi all
I'm working with Flash 8, with the FLV player component. The
player loads various flash videos (flv)
    that can have verious sizes.
I have set the autosize detection for the player. But I want
the size of the embeded player to also
change according to the size of the loaded flv.
For example, if the loaded flv is 100px by 100px, I want the
embeded player to be 100px by 100px (in
the html code). if the flv is 500px by 350px, i want the
embeded flav to change to that 500 x 350px.
As far as I know, the sizes of the flv file cannot be
detected with PHP or javascript, so only the
component can detect the flv size. Therefore I would need a
way to re-write the embeded code after
    the flv has loaded.
Anybody knows how to do that? Is it possible?

  • The "connecting" green circle keeps spinning even though page has loaded.

Frequently the page seems to have fully loaded, yet the circle keeps spinning and says connecting until I click on the X to stop page from loading.
About the same time this started happening, my web pages started containing green highlighted words that are double underlined and contain links. What the heck?

You can try basic steps like these in case of issues with web pages:
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
    *Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
    *Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and the cookies from websites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
    *Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window or otherwise make changes.

  • Is it possible to force Firefox to load a url in a tab when opening a new page (before the page has loaded)?

Recently when using a rather unreliable internet connection I'm often get dropped connections that prevent pages from loading.
In the past this used to result in an "Unable to connect to server page" when the timeout happened, which was fine as I could just refresh the page.
These days however the page is timing out when the page is still on the about:blank stage (or stuck on the current page), before the url has been updated, so I'm losing the address.
Is there any way to force firefox to update the url as soon as the page load request is made, as opposed to when it recieves a response from the server (which is how it seems to work at the moment)?

If you click a link then Firefox may only be showing the URL on the location bar if at least there is a connection to the server.
If you are on Linux then it should take minutes before the connection times out, at least that is what I see (on Windows it is only 20 seconds). This might be different in case the connection drops.
There should be a try again button of the net error page to reload this link.
Don't you see such a button?
You can start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Established wifi connection, web pages all load white and blank

Hey so my MacBook Pro retina display has never had any problems with Internet, but now when I am connected to my normal wifi, all of my web pages through safari are loading blank and white. Safari is the only search engine I have downloaded (dumb I know) so I have no way of checking if it is only te browser, but I don't think so because on another computer the Internet is working fine. It is the same story for different wifi channels too so I am thinking it is something with my computer. Does anyone have anything they think will solve my problem so my web pages actually load again? Thanks!!!

Go step by step and test.
    1. Reset Safari.
Click Safari in the menu bar.
From the drop down select "Reset Safari".
Uncheck the box next to  " Remove saved names and passwords".
        Click "Reset".
    2.  Empty Caches
        Quit Safari if open.
Option click the "Go" menu in the Finder menu bar.
        Select "Library" and then "Caches".
        Look for the folder 'com.apple.Safari"
Right click "com.apple.Safari" and select "Move to Trash"
        Relaunch Safari.
    3. Turn off Extensions, if any.
        Safari > Preferences > Extensions
    4. Delete safari .plist file.
        Quit all applications.
Option click the "Go" menu in the Finder menu bar.
Select "Library" from the drop down.
        Library > Preferences >  com.apple.Safari.plist
Right click it and select "Move it to Trash".
        Restart.    Relaunch Safari.
    Best.

  • Play Edge Animate content AFTER Page finishes loading

Is there any way, either in Edge or Muse, to have the edge animations wait until the Muse page finishes loading before starting to play?
    thanks

I find no way within Muse to accomplish what you want.
In An you can always just delay the start of your animation(s) for a specificed time.
That may now work very smooth though because everyone's systems will load the pre-animation page at differing speeds.
I'm NOT a js coder but I was looking at some of the generated js code and I have a feeling a good js person could make your animation do what you want.
I see different 'load' perameters mentioned. Maybe one of those could be used.
I'll bet your answer is somewhere in that *_edgePreload.js file.
    http://www.lynda.com/home/Player.aspx?lpk4=107145&playChapter=False
That video talks about turning off Auto Play in An and using js for control. It doesn't mention how to do it, just that it can be done.

  • Changing ScrollPanes View after it has been packed

    Hello,
I have a Frame which contains a JScrollPane. When I create the frame, the scrollpane has no content. After some event happens, I will add content to the pane. Then later another even could happen and I load different content into the pane. When I do this, the scrollpane scrolls VERY slow using the mouse wheel. I have tried everything I can find to made the scrollpane realize the true size of it's content. I have set the preferredsize to the preferredsize of the panel that is put into it, i have tried revalidating the scrollpane, doLayout, updateUI, etc. Nothing seems to make it realize the real size so that it doesn't scroll slow. Can anyone help me out? Below is a sample application which consists of 3 classes which demonstrate my problem. I'm running on Java 1.5.0_07 on Windows.
    Thanks!

Gee...Thanks for your helpful diagnosis there. I used Netbeans to quickly create an example of the problem. I do know how to develop an application without the use of a GUI builder and prior to Matise, I haven't liked GUI Builders at all. So if you are all knowing in swing, then maybe you could actually help with the problem. Would you like me to remove the editor folds, etc from the example before you can get started?? If anyone else could help out that would be great...

    Hi and welcome to Discussions,
you can use WinClone for this http://www.twocanoes.com/winclone/ and in here http://www.twocanoes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=515 you find a how-to.
(Topic: My current Windows partition is the wrong size, and I want to make it larger. How do I do this?)
Other people have used CampTune http://www.paragon-software.com/home/camptune/ successfully.

  • Unity Connection Admin Page Not Loading

    Cisco Unity Connection version: 8.5.1ES16.11900-16
    Running HA.
My publisher's gui loads just fine. However if I try to load the subs i get the servers error page:
    HTTP Status 404 -
    type: Status report
    message:
description: The requested resource () is not available.
Also when I go to services on the admin page and drop the menu down to that server I get no available. In the cluster menu I see the server defined.
I can SSH into the box and the servcies appear to be running just fine. Is there a way to tell why the admin page is not loading?

Have you tried restarting the Tomcat service on the secondary server? This can be done via the CLI.
         utils service restart Cisco Tomcat

  • How do I change my resolution after iTunes has changed it to a lower ppi

I am using Win7 with an iPad. When I first logged onto iTunes the site changed my resolution. It is now lower than is should be. I have two screens, a lap top and a 17" monitor. When I slip one page from the laptop to the larger screen i lose about 1/5 of the width.
I can't change the resolution to what it optimally should be for my system. How do I fix this?
I love my iPad and the Apple Store. But this is reminiscent of MS making a system operate how MS thinks it should operate instead of how the user wants it to operate.
    thnx

  • When opening a new tab, Firefox often freezes for a few seconds until the page has loaded completely.

When I open a new tab, the tab must load completely before Firefox will respond at all. I cannot do anything in Firefox; Windows and the rest of my programs that are running are unaffected. This happens randomly, but it is more common on certain websites. How do I fix this?
    Thanks!
