Table&asp help

Question

Hello, this is my first post so forgive me for any rules i
might break lol,
anyways, i started using dreamweaver cs not so long ago and
iv'e put in a code that i made myself and theres a problom.
i have an asp(vb) code that has 4 if's like
if bla=1 then
write 1
else if bla=2 then
write 2
else if bla=3 then
write 3
else if bla=4 then
write 4
end if
end if
end if
end if
now i have a bit of a problom because this code here is
arranged in a table and iv'e tried to put it in a <td> of an
other table.
The problom is that it thinks it needs to write 4 lines. it
doesent understand that only one of them will be written.
as a result it takes too much space for that <td> and
doesent let me make it any smaller..
is there anyway i can make him understand the if???

un-nest a few tables.
Carefully do the math with respect to the widths you have
assigned to
both tables and table cells.
Add a DOCTYPE to your page.
Visit our Updates page and download the PMM update that was
released and
announced 7 months ago to fix cosmetic issues in IE7.
