Hi Gurus,
Could you please tell me the name of the tables to find the Total count of
1) Cubes
2) ODS
3) Queries (Report)
4) No of total users,
in BW system.

Hi,
This message is not a issue in itself. It is just a SAP message which means that the system is checking/updating the system tables to carry out the operation whether it can be done or not.
If your loads are failing at this step or after this message there can be many reasons, check some of the possible reasons below
Performing check and potential update for status control table
Update from PSA error in Process Chain
problem in deleting request
Reporting not available ,even if Data is sucessfully loaded into DT

Tables for Cube

Hi guys,
im trying to activate a cube, but the process fails, saying there was no primary key for the table /BIC/L<CubeName> .
Now i wonder what kind of table that is. Is there any complete List of tables for Cubes? I know about those:
/BIC/F<CubeName>      Fact table,
/BIC/E<CubeName>      compressed Fact table
/BIC/D<CubeName>T     Time dimension table
/BIC/D<CubeName>P     Requenst dimension
/BIC/D<CubeName>U     Unit dimension
/BIC/D<CubeName>1       User dimension 1 and so on
/BIC/L<CubeName>     ????
What is the purpose of table L? Are there any other important tables for the cube?

This is the validity table. which is /BIC/L(cube name). If u have any non cumulative key figures then a validity table will be created for the same. But am not sure about the error.

for the request part you can look at the table RSBKREQUEST by filling in the source or target object.
Different tables for cube are :
RSDCUBE    Directory of InfoCubes
RSDCUBET   Texts on InfoCubes
RSDCUBEIOBJ    Objects per InfoCube (where-used list)
RSDDIME    Directory of Dimensions
RSDDIMET   Texts on Dimensions
RSDDIMEIOBJ    InfoObjects for each Dimension (Where-Used List)
RSDCUBEMULTI    InfoCubes involved in a MultiCube
RSDICMULTIIOBJ     MultiProvider: Selection/Identification of InfoObjects

APD Process for Cube - ODS data transfer.

hi,
Two data sources (cube and ODS) are feeding another ODS. I want to delete the data in Data target (ODS)belongs to that particular infosource for every data load if it comes from the same infosource without using process chain or events. (I want the similar option found in cube). I also want to write some complex functionality (ABAP CODE) in start routine of update rules.
Bhanu suggested me to use APD Process. Can any one (including BHANU) explain me in detail about APD Process. Please also give me navigations.

You can read details about the APD here:

Basically you can get to the APD from transaction RSANWB. Start creating a new process using a query as the source of data. You can provide a transactional ODS as a data target and you also have the opportunity of changing the data using predefined functions, or also ABAP code before loading into the ODS.

Inactive Dimension Tables for Cube

Hi Gurus ,
I am transporting a cube from one system to another and the transport fails becasue the dimension tables are in active in the target system. Now since this system is read only I cannot manually activate it , last resort I even trioed opening the system and activating it and re transported the transport. I get the same error saying that table /BIC/ZXXXXX is inactive.
Can anyone help....please....

did you change any dimensions in dev ?
like delete some characteristics from existing dimension,
or add new characteristic or move from one to another
dimension ?
if so, you may need to delete production data first,
to avoid this, please change back characteristics to previous dimension, and create a new dimension and add new characteristic to the new create dimension.
another possibility is database problem, try to search oss note for infocube dimension inactive.

Bi 7.0 for cube and master data steps

can u give me step by step comparision between bi 7.0 and bi 3.0 for cube ods and master data, ple explaing me what are the steps difference for those in bi 7.0 .
and reporting is same or any difference in bi 7.0 .

what abt master data, in master data we are using only transfer rules, here also we are using transformation and dtp again.
Yes we would be using transformations and DTP's on the masterdata too. but the system would prompt to make IO a infoprovider in order to use the new functionality. There is another work around for it, but we can discuss it later, orelse search the forum for that option, i have replied to couple of questions regarding that.
what abt reporting any things other than calculated kf restricted kf, filters rows columns, free chaststics, variables, any chnages in screen.
The basic functionality of all the above mentioned objects havent changes, and the query designer itself, there are hell a lot of changes in the appearance and it will take a while to get used to it and find your way with all the functionalities.
i have doubt bps menas businees planning simulation what is this, bec i have idea we can use transactional cube and transactional ods for write accress for planninmg also
BPS is something I have no clue abt... (you dont see me answering in Business planning forum)

To find tables for any infoprvider go to SE11.
In database table field enter the following
Cube -
Has fact table and dimension table
For customized cube - ie cube names not starting with ' 0 '
Uncompressed Fact table - /BIC/F<infocubename>
Compressed fact table - /BIC/E<infocubename>
Dimension table - /BIC/D<infocubename>
For standard cube - ie cube names starting with ' 0 '
Uncompressed Fact table - /BI0/F<infocubename>
Compressed fact table - /BI0/E<infocubename>
Dimension table - /BI0/D<infocubename>
Click on display.
For DSO,
For standard DSO active table- /BI0/A<DSO name>00.
You use 40 for new table.
Click on display.
For customized DSO use- /BIC/A<DSO name>00.
An easier way is in the database table field, write the name of the cube/DSO preceeded and followed by ' * ' sign. Then press F4 . It shall give you the names of the available table for that info provider.
Double click on the name and choose display.

Convert the Tables in se14 for cube

I have the requirement to convert the table for the cube since we have changed the Group and Legal Costs stored in BW as currencies to 6 decimal places. The two objects changed to floating point numbers . Now I am asked to covert the tables for the cube how should i go about this
first I will go to se14 and give the cube name like /BIC/FZINV_C09 Then what should i do to convert the tables or should i follow some thing else in se14 please clarify me soon. i am asked to do this as per tech document.

Hi Dinesh and Anil, You both are genius, but please help me what it means by changing the data for legal and group cost directly in data base should i go to se11 and type /bic/fzcobmc01 and select databasetable and now change under "field tab" the data type to floating point and length 16. and also should i change the values by going display table values do i change them manually all 100 values since dinesh pointed the right thing so here is my approach

Searching for costcenter "7890" in all cubes/ods

hi gurus
i am looking for a costcenter "7890" in all the cubes/ods. now the simple way is to manage the cube and look into its contents but that is taking very long and i have 100's of cubes, so is there some way i can find where this masterdata is being used. now i know in sid table this particular costcenter has a sid id. is there a table where i can see what infoproviders this sid id is linked with.i will appreciate any suggestions.

i tried this but it says no such transaction exists may be you miss spelled it. and will it give me the association of each sid id in master data to cubes using that sid id of master data. /BI0/SCOSTCENTER this is the table in which you can see all the sid id's for each cost center. now i want to look at what cube is associated with one of these costcenters. if you have any other suggestions that give me the same solution i will appreciate them.

Backend BW table for reject counts in datamanager packages

Hello Team,
I am not able to find the backend BW table for the logs of the data manager package which can tell about the rejected records count or sucessful records count.
I got all other information about the datamanager package form the table UJD_STATUS except records counts.
So can anyone please help me out to find the rejected records/sucessful records count in the backend BW table
I got 1 tableUJF_DOC but it is also not giving me the information which i want.

Hi Muruganand,
The only way is through code ... there is no direct and simple method ... what you need to do is find hte highest Timestamp value for DP_NR = 000001. Then get the request field (RNR) ... this is the last request. Since you have to do it for 300 cubes ... I suggest you do some coding .. I can guide you through if you need assistance.

I am looking for a way to check the selection conditions of each load in cube & ods through an ABAP program.
For Eg: we load cubes with selection conditions with (created on date -1 ) and i want to check whether there are all loads for all days....can we do this with abap code right...
