How to post return stock to unrestricted stock for only Plant & Material Type combination?

Hello Everyone,
At present, whenever the stock is returned then it posted through 655 movement type. So, material is posted as quality stock.
Now, the requirement is to post the stock to unrestricted stock for Plant and Material type combination only. Which means, if the plant is 1413 and the material type is ERSA, VERP, and HIBE then for return sales order system post the stock directly to unrestricted stock, instead of quality stock.
So, is there any standard way of configuring the above scenario without going for validation (Z Fields)?

as per your scenario , there is two movement type has to trigger in the Delivery level according to the plant and material combination .
as per my knowledge it will not configurable in standard process . this will possible with user exit logic only .
follow the below logic to achieve your issue .
you have to create two item categories and two schedule lines with (655 &653) , that means your movement type has to trigger at sales order level only . write a logic in the user exit - MV45AFZZ -USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP , if this combination matches then automatically item category has to over write other wise it will copy the existing item category .at delivery level you can see two movement types in item level.
wait for other experts solution , if any standard is possible or not .

Tables/FM for opening/closing stock for material on given posting date

Hi All,
I had requirement of find the opening/closing stock for material on given posting date. The values we can find out using TCode - MB5B.
But I cannt use MB5B to extract data because I need to find detials for thousands of material.
Can you please adivce if their is any FM or tables through which i can find this detial on any given date apart from current date.

How to consider unrestricted stock for the run of MRP project?

Hi every one!
We are facing a problem using MRP on project stock.
We would like that the MRP takes unrestricted stock into consideration while calculating quantities to order for project stock.
For example, a project request 100 pieces of material X.
We have already 25 pieces of material X in unrestricted stock and 0 in project stock.
When I run MRP (MD51), it creates a Purchase Requisition of 100 pieces on the WBS element I have defined and not 75 as expected!!!
By searching in documents and forums, I have read I have to set the value "2 - Collective requirements only" into the field MRP4 > BOM explosion/dependent requirements > Individual/coll. of the Material Master.
I have done it but it doesn't change anything.

Hello guys!
As told, here I come with news about my problem.
Finally, the Strategy Group didn't solve our problem.
We didn't solve our problem as planned but we have found another way to work.
Instead of including the unrestricted stock in the MRP project, we use transaction CO46 to have an overview of the unrestricted stock of all the components of the project's BOM.
Based on that overview, the user can make stock transfers of the available quantities from the unrestricted stock to the project stock.
I hope it can help people having the same problem!

Consumption from Unrestricted Stock for MTO

Dear Experts,
Kindly help me in meeting the below requirement:
When I create a Production Order with reference to sales order (T Code Co08), the GI (MB1A - 261 Mvt) can be done only from the Sales Order Stock. The system doesn;t allow the unrestricted stock to be issued to production order.
The RM is batch managed, so the system only allows the Sales order batches to be issued only.
The requirement is to consume the RM (GI to Production Order) from the unrestricted stock.
Please help me with what class and requirement type should be used to meet this reuirement. And if there's a need of new class, kindly help me with the config steps (as detailed as possible) required.

Thanks for the quick response.
The Ind/Coll indicator in MRP4 view doens't help. Morover the production order is made manually (not through MRP run).
The special stock indicator in Prodcution Order can be changed but my requirement is to defualt that with a blank to allow unrestricted stock to be issued. It flows to production order through requirement class and type. That config I am looking for as changing it manually would not be acceptable to the client.

Outbound delivery allows only the unrestricted stock for particular material and plant

In STO I have an problem the outbound delivery creations allows all stocks under unrestricted, Quality inspection, Block stock.
I want the outbound delivery creation of a particular material and plant it allows only the stock under the unrestricted only. It doesn't allows the stocks under the Quality inspection and Block stocks.
I need to know how to configure this or how to solve my requirements.

Need customised report for list of stock for partially processed materials.

The requirement with process im explaining plz share the report.
This customised report related to partiallly processed materials:
Suppose , after recieving material from vendor as raw material they will transfer the mat to vendor for processing agsinst 57f4 challan, after completing the process, they will recieve this material , this process will continues to till becoming finished product, once after the finished product come, they will transfer to finished storage location, from there it will be issued to production.
How to make the report, plz suggest me:
The report format is :
S.no    material      description     pending stock       challan pending stock       actual stock
Pending stock: material to be issued to vendor for proceessing
Challan pending stock: to be recieved from vendor after processing.
Actual stock: pending stock+challan pending stock.

You need these three informations
Pending stock: material to be issued to vendor for proceessing
        You have to find all Subcon. POs from Table EKKO,EKPO. Po number need to be passed to EKET Table and need to fetch "Reservation Number". Take this number and goto RESB table to get all components. You can find issue documents from MSEG table by passing 541 and PO Number. You need not consider all 541 documents which have been converted to Challan as it will be already considered with point no. 2
   2. Challan pending stock: to be recieved from vendor after processing.
        From Table J_1IEXCDTL by selecting 57F4 take all the stock from all the Challans which are having "status" P -Inprocess. (Reconciliation and completion not done.)
   3. Actual stock: pending stock+challan pending stock.
        This is just calculation.
I think there are many validations and considerations to be made. I think you can build from here.

You can try this,
TERMINATED BY WHITESPACE
The WHITESPACE option is usefull when, delimiter is any whitespace character including spaces, tabs, blanks, line feeds, form feeds, or carriage returns. (Only used with TERMINATED, not with ENCLOSED.)

IDoc Error in LSMW for MB1C - Special stock type is E

When we use MB1C for GR to enter initial entry of stock balance into unrestricted stock for special stock type is E.
The document is Posted.
But, when we use LSMW for the above Transaction, the document is not posted.
In the Inbound processing of IDOC has the status "Application document not posted".
In the IDoc Status record gives
current status : 51 ("SD Document XXXXXXXXX is not in the database or has been archived"

It seems that the stock indicator in E demands for a sales order in the MB1C transaction. The sales order provided by you in the flat file is getting validated by SAP and that sales order is not available in the system or might have been archived.
It is better to provide a live Sales order to book the stock to that particular sales order. If in case if the Sales order mentioned by you is closed or not required, in such as case the material can be stored under unrestricted stock and not under the sales order stock

Thanks a lot for your response to this thread.
In fact i tried the option of providing value 1 to exclude the storage location stock from the MRP. But it did not fulfil my requirement.
My requirement is as below:
The business wants to create the material requirement by manual reservations.
Also for this MRP run except this manual reservations all other issue elements, receipt elements and stocks should not get considered.
With checking group configuration i am able to exclude all other issue, receipt and stock elements. But in this settings there is no option to exclude the unrestricted stock.
What happened when i tried giving 1 in MRP 4 view to exclude the storage location stock, the system not only excludes the stock but also it excludes the storage location from MRP run. Meaning...
Plant XXXX
SLOC YYYY
SLOC - YYYY current stock: 100
Manual reservation created (requirement) for SLOC -YYYY : 50
The expectation out of MRP run is, to create procurement proposals for 50 numbers with out considering SLOC - YYYY stock of 100 and not to exclude the SLOC YYYY itself.

VL10D Unrestricted Stock

Hi,
In VL10D transaction, how I can display the unrestricted stock? When I goto change layout and select unsrestricted field, system is showing unrestricted stock as zero. I want to display the actual stock in that field.

Hi,
We can view Unrestricted stock in VL10D. In VL10D layout, SAP has provided the field for Unrestricted stock, that means we can view the Unrestricted stock in VL10D, and no need to go to CO09 and MMBE for stock check.
In VL10D, goto userrole tab, there is check box as "with stock data", tick that check box and in layout, select the field unrestricted stock. You will get the unrestricted stock for supplying plant.

Sort table by field position?

Is it possible to sort a table by field position? For example, I have table ITAB with a 4 character field F1. I want to sort the table first by the 3rd position ( itab-f12(1) ) ascending then the 4th position ( itab-f13(1) ) descending.
data: begin of itab occurs 0,
          f1(4),
        end of itab.
itab-f1 = '01AC'.
append itab.
itab-f1 = '02AB'.
append itab.
itab-f1 = '01CD'.
append itab.
itab-f1 = '02CA'.
append itab.
sort itab...
I thought about using TRANSLATE with a rule and converting each position to a numeric value (then transfer the value to a new 'sort' field), but I wasn't sure if there was an easier way.
The sorted table should read: '01AC' ; '02AB' ; '01CD' ; '02CA'

When we display a meterial by MM03, under plant stock tab, in the last, there is description of 'Plant Stoicks in previous period'. When I see the field ' Unrestricted Use Stock', there is a value. When I press F1, it looks like its from MARD table, field VMLAB. But when I check the table, there is no value.Please suggest me the table & field name.I also tried the tables MBEWH, MARDH, MCHBH, but its no there. PLease suggest.
