Table for infoobject metadata

Hi Experts,
I need to know the table for Infoobject metadata,
the length and type of infoobjects stored in any table.
Ex: 0Employee length -8, Type - NUMC.
Pls help me.

The required table is RSDIOBJ.
Sorry, Umesh is correct RSDCHABAS table will give you metadata information.

Depending on the infoobject definition, the tables are created at the time of master data activation:
/BI<C OR DIGIT>/<TABLE CODE><INFOOBJECT>
<C or digit>: C = Customer-defined InfoObjects
digit = SAP-defined InfoObjects
<table code>: S = SID table
T = Text table
P = Time-independent master data attributes
Q = Time-dependent master data attributes
M = Union of time-dependent and time-independent master
data attributes
X = SID table for time-independent navigational attributes
Y = SID table for time-dependent navigational attributes
H = Hierarchy table
K = Hierarchy SID table
I = Hierarchy SID structure table
J = Hierarchy interval table
<InfoObject>: The name of the InfoObject without leading digits (if any)

How to see that r/3 table for infoobject

i am working in time management ,i have a two key fields , like planned time according to personal work schedule (0plhrs) n planned time without public holiday (0whrs) , i have two data sourse 0hr_pt_01 and 0hr_pt_02 , so i want to see for that this two keyfig underline r/3 table , means which r/3 table table data is coming plz help me

Hi Smita,
Go to R/3 --> transaction RSA5. Find your datasource there (say 0hr_pt_1), double click on this. On next screen, you will see all teh fields comprising in this datasource. Select your perticular fileds which you want to find the R/3 table. Preess F1 on this --> go to Technical information and you will see R/3 table and Filed name associate to that infoobject.

Adjusting the SID table for master data infoobject

Im trying to activate one master data infoobject. But it says the error like below
<b>The SID Table /BI0/SBBP_DELREF must be converted incompatibly with an activation of characteristic 0BBP_DELREF (changes to the key in the table). Table /BI0/SBBP_DELREF contains data. Parts of this data were lost in the conversion</b>.
or
<b>Undo the changes that led to the incompatible conversion (the changes in the key) or delete all data from table /BI0/SBBP_DELREF.</b>
So how can i adjust the SID table for this .

Hi,
you'll have to delete ALL the master data for this IObj. Therfore you'll have to
delete all data in ALL the IObjs using 0BBP_DELREF (ODS, CUbes and characteristics).
Then activate your IObj. You will go through some step which I explained in the
following thread
Re: Urgent...Company Code lenght has been changed
Extract:
1. Delete 0COMP_CODE master data.
- get objects list using 0COMP_CODE with loaded data: I suggest to delete
master data via AWB (right click the characteristic). If it can't be deleted because
it is used display the deletion log (via AWB or tx SLG1 / RSDMD, MD_DEL).
- delete loaded data for the list above.
This should not be too much since you are in DEV.
2. change 0COMP_CODE length
- change the length to 4;
*- Activate your IObj. You'll get a popup log, validate. Activate despite warning and
errors. You will get An error message, validate.
You should get an horizontal pane with the activation log. Read it for your personal culture but if you don't have time then don't...
- Next the system will prompt to convert the tables: answer YES. The system will ask to schedule the table conv. in the background, go4it.
- next is the SE14 screen for the P table: Hit Activate and adjust (Direct
execution, or in the back as you wish). Answer yes to the mass processing
question and yes (again) for request adjust online. Your table should be converted successfully.
- go back twice from this screen (leaving SE14 tx and return to RSD1). reread the update log if you wish.
- repeat from the *- above... it will perform the very same for all other P tables of IObj using 0COMP_CODE and the 0COMP_CODE S table.
Your IObj is reactivated again. So should your ODS/DSO objects (check activate for example). Cube didn't need to convert tables since the MDID is note posted in any table of a cube.
Please note that once your IObj is in revised version you can perform the same via the menu extras / database table / convert all (see my previous post).
Now you have to evaluate the task. Of course that is a work to fix the mistake.
Depending on when it has be changed it may be worth to restore your DEV sys with a backup (loose work performed from the backup until now).

Metadata for InfoObject 0CURKEY_LC is inconsistent

Hello experts,
when executing a query containing 0currency or an infoobect refferring to 0currency the following error message occurs:
AMetadata for InfoObject 0CURKEY_LC is inconsistent
I>> Row: 82 Inc: LRRMSU13 Prog: SAPLRRMS
The problem probably came from a master data upload from flatfile containing a wrong currency.
How can you put 0currency into a consistant state again?

Please try below,
1) GO to RSRV transaction and perform all tests for master data infoobjects. Check out what error it gives. Many times RSRV also corrects the error. You will get correct error option above the error description.
OR
2) Try deleting the erroneous recor. If it is incorrect record, it must not be used in any transactional data. SO it should allow you to do that. Then activate the master data.

How to generate unique IDs for a metadata field

Hi,
We have a requirement to generate a unique ID for a metadata field. Does anybody know how this can be achieved? Ideally I would want to have a database sequence and specify the metadata field to get value from this database sequence, similar to how Content ID is generated.
Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Look into the Counters table. You should be able to create a component install filter to add in your field to the Counters table.
You could then create some Java code to fetch the next value from the Counters database for your field (and increment the value).

Hi,
If you want to load data into InfoObject (Master data) from BW itself.
1. Then create Generic DataSource in RSO2 in BW
2. Select DS type as Master Data.
3. Select datasource based on Table or View & mention this table name.
And use this datasource for loading data.

How to find tables for a particular business object.

Dear Friends,
I want to display, all the tables related to a particular business object.
So I think there must be way of doing it using packages.
example:-
I will have list of all packages referencing to all business Components
(ex.SALES) then i will get a list of all the tables related to SALES and then I would like to get all the METADATA regarding that TABLE.
please give me some ideas How to achieve this.

like suppose i entered Sales i sould get all the tables related to Sales ....if MM then list of MM tables...
in Se80 the package VA is for sales .....
and there i can get all the tables for sales...
but If u know any searching criteria by which i will be able to the list of tables.

Transformation routine for Infoobject lookup

Hey guys,
I am aware of Update rule routines but never done Transformation routine before. I didnt get any related post for my req.
My requirement is on WBS element I have some attributes which is coming from std WBS Attr extractor but I have one custom attribute infooject which I want to populate through an Infoobject which is also a master data Infoprovider. For this I have to write a Tranfer rule routine.
Please note these are transfer rules in BW 3.5 not BI 7. Please provide exact code. Appreciate your help.

Declaration of Types table for your master data object in the declaration area....
Replace your attributes in place of plant, GSRCSYS and CALMONTH
    TYPES: BEGIN OF TY_WBS,
                 /BIC/GPLANT TYPE /BIC/OIGPLANT,
                 /BIC/GSRCSYS TYPE /BIC/OIGSRCSYS,
                 CALMONTH TYPE /BI0/OICALMONTH,
           END OF TY_WBS.
    DATA: IT_WBS TYPE TABLE OF TY_WBS,
                WA_WBS TYPE TY_WBS.
/BIC/AWBS = your master data table name
SELECT * FROM /BIC/AWBS INTO WA_WBS
    WHERE OBJVERS = 'A'.
THen in the transformation Routine on field level use the below code to populate the value
" /BIC/GPLANT = L_SOURCE_PACKAGE-/BIC/GPLANT.
   substitute your objects here to query the master data object to get values.
READ TABLE IT_WBS INTO WA_WBS WITH KEY
      /BIC/GPLANT = L_SOURCE_PACKAGE-/BIC/GPLANT.
RESULT = WA_WBS-Your object name.

How to View master data & Trasaction data tables for Puchasing Cube

Hi BW masters,
How should I check which tables (Master data tables and Transaction data tables) are involved with Business Content Cube(Purchasing data 0PUR_C01). I would like to know this information in order to go to that table and browse the data in that table. Where should we go and check this out.

hi Syed,
to view tables' content you can use SE16,
you can try infocube name, dimension tables of cube are store in *d[infocube name]1 to F, fact tables are f[infocube name] and e[infocube name]-compress,
infocube data are stored in star schema, you can use LISTCUBE to view the content (to see the structure/tables in cube, use LISTSCHEMA),
master data (not time-dependent) are stored in text table t[infoobject name], attribute - p[infoobject name] and hierarchy - h[infoobject name],

Hi,
When i create a transformation rule b/w 0fi_ar_4 & ods 0FIAR_C04
i am mapping the fields which i need rest of them I am not mapping the fields for which i am not mapping leads to errors like
Internal error: Invalid Aggregation Info No entry for InfoObject: 0FI_DSBITEM - contact SAP
when I map this error I cant see
is it mandtory to map all the fields

not a problem. check which feilds you don't want to map. Make ithose as "No Transformation" for those fields in Rule details.
Note: What ever is possible in 3.X for UR or TR, everything is possible in Transformation of BI 7.0 As well( excpet return table, etc).
