Table Grid resizing,How to avoid getting scroll bar in the browser

Hi All,
Requirement is to enable Grid Resizing feature in the Table UI element. The table will have  approx 12-30 columns
For providing this feature on the table UI element, we have set the following properties
'ScrollableColCount' Property of table UI is set to -1.
'Resizable' property of each column is set to true.
This will remove the scrollbar at table level and all the columns will be shown on the screen at one time.
Problem encountered:
1. Horizontal  scroll bar will be introduced on the screen.We tried giving width in pixels  to individual column grid but unable to eliminate this scroll bar in the screen.
2. Also the resizing properties modified for a table grid will be applied on the similar task screen having table UI element.
   For Example: In GP Workflow,if USer1 holds 2 task(Task A and B) of an application. If he resizes the column of the table in A task then these changes will be reflected in the B task table UI also.
Please provide pointers on this.
Thanks and Regards,
Pradeep

Hi,
In table set tablecellEditor wrapping property to true,by default its false.
By this you can get value in many rows(per row size is depend on whatever u have given for column width).
this way you can avoid scroll bar.

  • How to put vertical Scroll Bar on the LEFT side of a VBox?

    The default is on the RIGHT side. It seems no easy solution on this question.

    Hi Darren,
    Thanks for your reply. I've narrowed the problem down to this strange behavior only happening when the viewport component is a tree-table (a JTable with a JTree for a column renderer). The tree-table works okay in JDK 1.3, but not in JDK 1.4. When I remove the JTree column renderer, the table draws correctly, but without the tree. It looks like the viewport position is being set wrong somewhere.
    When a column is resized, an AdjustmentEvent is created. So that's why resizing the column looked like it had the same effect as the horizontal scroll bar.
    If you're interested, then I will be happy to let you know how I fixed it, if I can.
    The complete code that creates the scroll pane with the vertical scroll bar on the left is below. There's too much code to post the JTree column renderer.
    Thank you,
    Don
    m_leftScrollPane = new JScrollPane(m_sourceTable,
    JScrollPane.VERTICAL_SCROLLBAR_ALWAYS,
    JScrollPane.HORIZONTAL_SCROLLBAR_ALWAYS);
    m_leftScrollPane.setComponentOrientation
    (ComponentOrientation.RIGHT_TO_LEFT);

  • How do I get scroll bars to work

    I get a vertical scroll bar where I don't want one.  The horizontal one (see attachment) is needed as the form gets quite wide when it is in Spanish.  But despite turning off verticalScrollPolicy everywhere, one of them still appears.

    A bigger question is how to get the scroll bars to work from the keyboard.  The problem is to be accessible, the application must be available to blind or physically handicapped people that can't use a mouse.
    To get the entire form read requires horizonal scrolling in some cases such as when it is in Spanish or the font size it increased a lot.  Now, a horizontal scroll bar appears and is easily movable via the mouse, but we have to have it move without a mouse.
    I found the vertical bar came from the form object and I eliminated that, but the bigger issue still remains.

    I dont mind going on my browser to access my icloud but it would make it more convienent to have it directly on my dock

    The nearest you can get is to drag the little Apple icon in the aqddress bar to the right-hand side of the Dock:

    System Preferences > General > Show scroll bars.
    Click the button by the side of "Always".

  • How do you get it to show the temperature when you scroll down?

    On some some IDevices I see when you scroll down, it shows the temperature and the date. But on my iPad mini when I scroll down, it just shows the day. But at the bottom it says, " weather information provided by yahoo" I have yahoo weather installed. How do I get it to show the temperature too? Thanks.

    Settings->Privacy->Location Services->Weather-> Turn it on.
    It will show your current locations weather. Note that it uses GPS and internet access. so it may use your Cellular Data and battery.

    A good place to start is with "About this Mac" from your Apple menu:

  • I have no scroll bar on the right side; how do I get it back?

    I followed Co-rel's instructions and got my mail back on the page--thank you-- but there is no scroll bar to scroll through the mail in the inbox. There is a scrollbar on the left to scroll through folders.

    The current build of iTunes may occasionally draw the scroll bar off the edge of the screen. It should be possible to resize the window to reveal the scroll bar.
    You can restore much of the look & feel of the previous version with these shortcuts:
    Ctrl-B to turn on the menu bar.
    Ctrl-S to turn on the sidebar.
    Ctrl-/ to turn on the status bar.
    Click the magnifying glass top right and untick Search Entire Library to restore the previous search behaviour.
    You can also open the menu bar temporarily by pressing Alt.

  • How can I get a scroll bar at the bottom of the page so I can see the right side of the page when I am using two windows?

    With two or three pages open, I have scroll bars that allow me to see the right side of the other pages, but not on the Firefox page.

    Thank you for the reply, Fred, but when I went to my saved screenshot, I realized that the shortcut on my desktop had opened in IE, not Firefox. There is no scroll bar and the directional arrows do not work. My daughter has been playing with my laptop again. When I set up the same conditions with Firefox, there is no scroll bar, but the arrows function properly, so I can read to the right edge of the page. Now to find someone who knows IE11. Thanks again, for your reply.

  • With the iOS 7 update the alphabet scroll bar in the Music app disappeared. Is there anybody came across this problem or know how to get it back?

    When syncing iPhone with my Mac via USB, it stuck on preparing to update when I started copying music, so I ejected it and plugged it in again. All the music was gone by then (sync manually is on). This time copying music worked.
    Since then in the Music app's artists tab there is no alphabet scroll bar on the right; the separator letters are also gone.
    Anybody experienced this? Is there a way to bring back the scroll bar?
    Thanks

    Not really. I has 49 songs and still had the scroll bar. I think the bar disappear when I erase the Songs that sync even when they are not in the playlist.
    hi this is a dumb phone!
    So just use the Albums or Artists option to find the album or artist, and select your desired song from that.  It's a lot faster than scrolling through a list of hundreds of songs or even using the scroll bar.
    I've got about 500+ songs on my device, and I never use 'Songs' option.  It's not even on my bottom quick icons in the Music app anymore.
    Playlists Artists Albums Genres More is what I have on my bottom quick icons now.
    With only 49 songs, you don't really need a scroll bar.

  • How to synchronize two scroll bars

    Hi there,
    Can anyone tell me how to go about to synchronize 2 JScrollPanes so that When the Scroll bar of the top Pane is moved, the scrollPane of the bottom pane also moves in sync. Thanks in advance.

    1. get hold of the two scrollbars using getHorizontalScrollBar() or getVerticalScrollBar()
    2. listen to their AdjustmentEvents using
    addAdjustmentListener(AdjustmentListener l)
    3. in the AdjustmentListener set the scrollPosition
    of the other scrollbar, when an AdjustmentEvent gets
    fired. You can use setValue(int)
