Table in box of Template - SmartForms

Is posible put a Table into a box of the template in SmartForms, how could I do that?

if the data is multiple i.e. line items choose table.
if the data is single i.e. fixed choose template.
Create table
> Draw u r no lines
> choose option select pattern
> select display framed patterns
Choose u r required one.
out lined, or full lined. u can choose option.
same procedure to be followed for template also.

 and how to print the box (line the check box - small squre box (which is used ot mark the tick by the user in front of the item).

Use a SMATSTYLE for this purpose.in the smartstyle create a paragraph or character with underline atribute.Then call the smartstyle in the text.

How to set the table input in Query template?

Hi all.
I need to call a Bapi_objcl_change, with import parameter and a table as an input. I have done this, in BLS. I have set the table input in the
form of xml. In BLS, I get the output(the value gets change in SAP R3, what i have given in BLS). But if i set the same xml structure in
query template, I didn't get the output. Table input parameter does not take that xml source. How to set the table input in Query template?

Hema,
You probably need to XML encode the data so that it will pass properly and then xmldecode() it to set the BAPI input value.

within the words

Design view, then
look at the Tag Selector bar at the bottom of the document
pane, and click
on the first tag from the right. That will select
the entire tag
and its contents. Since you cannot insert a table within a
 tag, you
would want the insertion point to be just to the right of
that paragraph, so
press the right arrow once. In Design view, you will see the
insertion
point to the right of the 'spares'. Now you can insert a
table.

How to create table of contents in template?

Hi, I try to find out how to create a table of contents in template.
Of course, the sub-header will be feed in to BI publisher template from xml. But page number should be a variable. Is anyone knows how to do that? Please let me know.

Bridge Table check box in OBIEE 10G

In BMM layer of OBIEE 10G, we see a Bridge Table check box when we double click on each table.
What is the difference it makes if we check that VS don't check that. Is it mandatory to check it?
There are 2 ways to model many-to-many relationships.
1. Perform Fact-->Bridge and Bridge-->Dimension join in physical layer. In BMM layer, bring Fact and Dimension tables. Do an inner join between Bridge-->Dimension and join the Dimension to the Fact.
Question:- In this case do we need to check the Bridge Table check box on the Dimension table?

I am Passing Two Internal Tables from Driver Program to Smartform it is going to dump and message is showing like this " one of the parameters eded according to the interface description was not specified ".
When i am passing one Internal Table Output is coming Perfectly. Is there any restriction for passing of internal tables.

Check the names specified in the smartfrom and FM whcih you are calling in the driver program. Both might be different....

Tables in form interface in Smartforms

Generally for creating Tables in Form Interface in smartform , We have to create a Zstructure Or ZTable Type in SE11 and then we refer this structure in form interface. My requirement is how can we create Tables In Form Interface in smartforms
without creating Zstructure In se11. Can you please tell me is it possible , If possible then how can i do it.

Hi friend,
If you have a driver program and you need to pass data from the driver program to the smartform then during Form interface declaration you need to specify a global parameter. Which you will be creating using SE11.
With out creating a global structure or global table type we cannot declare it. If you have all the logic with in the smartform then you can declare the table type or structure with in the form then declare it.
But once if data comes from outside then we should go for global.
So i hope you will be clear and got the answer for your question.

Table from driver program to smartform

   I am passing the table from driver program to smartform as below

now my problem is that i want to access the data into smartform i have already define similar structure under types tab in global setting and then create a table in global data tab but when i go to smartform the table comes up BLANK.
i dont want to create Z structure and dont want to define table in import parameter.
any other way out ?

Hi Ruchi,
The data you wanted to pass from driver program to Smartform should be defined under Global settings in Form Interface not in Global data.
If you want to pass tables data from driver program to smartform, define a table with same structure in Form Interface of Global settings and if you wanted to export/import some values just do the same in Import/export parameters under Form Interface.
The data you declare under Global data can be used globally in the smartform.
eg : GT_VBAK LIKE VBAK.

The system (ECC 6.0)is not allowing borders in the template.

In the Template -> TEMPLATE tab -> u will find several square buttons like SELECT PATTERN, OUTER FRAMEINNER FRAME etc.

Smart form-table header-box

Hello All,
in my smartform iam displaying the data by looping a table. i ahve put a header inside loop.
and for each new sales order , ia m going explicitly to new page, and when more number of items are there, that can fit in one page, then the smartform implicitly going to new page.
my problem is, when smart form implicitly going to new page, the MAIN WINDOW is not called, so my header is not displayed. iam displaying this header using a template.
the other windows, like date etc...are displayed, even if it goes to new page implicitly.
is there any way i can show the header (in template), in page that called implicitely.

Thats because your table is not in the MAIN window I suppose. Keep your table in the MAIN window of the smartform and then Chenna's solution would work fine.

BOX Command in Smartforms

Guyz,
My situation is i have main window which is having 2 columns ...
1st - invoice line item text
2nd - invoice line item value
requriement is i'll have to print a vertical line after the 1st column (inv line itemtext) which should draw through out the main window.
Firstly - I tried with BOX Command (BOX XPOS 3.00 CM WIDTH 5.00 CM FRAME 10 TW) inside the MAIN Widnow and inside a text element which is not working to my surprise. MAIN WINDOW height = 11,80 cm width = 18,16 cm ...SO I'M SURE ABOVE BOX COMMAND SHOULD FIT INTO THIS WINDOW DIMENSIONS but nothing is being printed ?
Secondly -- As i'm using internal table for priting whole MAIN Window i tried using patterns (framed pattern having one line after first column)... initial look at this pattern made me happier but to my disappointment it didn't work i.e., though it's pritning vertical line it's not printing through out the main window. Say if we have just one row to print vertical line just spans the first row but I WANT VERTICAL LINE TO BE PRINTED THROUGH OUT THE MAIN WINDOW.
Any suggestions pls ?

In SMART Forms you cannot have a line / box unless there is a element.
What you can do is CREATE a TEMPLATE object and select the pattern. But with template and TABLE inside that formatting of the data will be difficult.

I want to print the items i have in columns (like name invoice number) in smartforms but when i create table in main window there no options for header footer and main area, i have created the template for header and footer but how i print the items in columns. Pls reply ASAP.

create a table under main window
Under the Header create a Row or Line
Under the Row create a Cell and Under that Cell create a text field
In that text you can write what ever field name u want to write

Footer of the Table in Main Window in Smartforms

Hi,
I have a smartform. In that I have declared a main window. And I want the Footer to appear on each page. So, I have checked both the check boxes in the Footer Event of the Table in Main Window.
1. At page Break
2. At end of table.
But it is comming only on the first and last page.
If I check only 1, it is printing on the first page only.
If I check only 2. it is printing on the last page only.
I want it to be printed on all the pages.
Help needed.

Instead of using the Main window for footer
Why can't you declare a separate constant window separately apart from MAIN window and use for the footer to print in all pages.
create another window and write all your data in that and see
Since MAIN window overflows as the data grows constantly it is coming only on the first and last pages.
So to appear that on each page a fresh window is useful
