Maintenance dialog for table

Hello folks,
I had successfully created a table and I tried inserting some records in to the table using table maintenance.
I received the following error.
'The maintenance dialog for table zxxx is incomplete or not defined'.
What does this mean?? And what should I do??
I am pasting the detail help over this error.
The maintenance dialog for ZTV_DBS_RANGE_NO is incomplete or not defined
Message no. SV 037
Diagnosis
The called function with the view/table ZTV_DBS_RANGE_NO needs a special maintenance dialog which, however, either does not exist at all, or does not exist completely.
System Response
The called function cannot be performed.
Procedure
Generate the required maintenance dialog.
Please help

You have to create the maintenance dialog for table you would like to use with transaction SM30 / SM31.
To do this look the transaction SE55.
(or SE11, select the table, MODIFY, (menu) Utilities -> Maintain dialog ... )

Table Maintenance View Transport Request

Hello everybody,
I need to use the table maintenance view for a customizing table without prompting for transport request is there a way to do this????, the customizing table is a Z table, the table was defined before like this because of the data in it, thanks in advance.

Sure: use SE11 for the Z-table, in menu Utilities->Table Maintenance generator and switch off the recording routine option.

Update table TTDTG

Good afternoon,
I wonder if you can help me?
I want to change a description of an object in report S_ALR_87012287.
In order to do that, I have replaced "Partita IVA" by "IC/PIVA" in table TTDTG.
When I run the report afterwards, no changes have been made.
Do I need to activate something for that?

After making changes to the table, inorder to reflect the changes go to transaction SE14 and Choose Edit and then choose Activate and Adjust Database.
OR
You can directly activate it from the SE11.
OR
Open the Repository Browser (transaction SE80) and navigate to the required database table.
Double-click on the database table.
Choose Utilities -> Database Object -> Database Utility.
The Utilities for Database Tables screen appears.
Select Activate and adjust database.

I have created a custom table and i have done a Table Maintenance for that custom Table..
In that i have one field called DATBI(which is To-date).
My Requirement is how to set condition in this table maintenance where IF TO-DATE < SYSDATE
those records should not be displayed in Table maintenance but that should be there in Data base table..
Can anyone help me on this.. I think something need to be done in PBO.
Plz help me on this..

Goto ur table and then utilities----
>table maintenance generator .
Then double click on the overview screen u specifed..It will direct u to PBO screen.
There inside PBO in the beginning create one module X(some name).
inside that specify ur condition whichever you want to..
piece of code which i have done for my condition records inside PBO
module modif_screen output.
data: datbi type datbi.
clear total.
loop at total.
move total+32(8) to datbi.
 if datbi < sy-datum.
 delete total.
 endif.
clear : datbi.
endloop.
Here total is the internal table from where values are populated.
Think this wil solve ur issue.

How to manage large partitioned table

Hi,
You can store partitioned tables in separate tablespaces. This does the following:
Reduce the possibility of data corruption in multiple partitions
Back up and recover each partition independently
Control the mapping of partitions to disk drives (important for balancing I/O load)
Improve manageability, availability, and performance
Remeber as the doc states :
The maximum number of partitions or subpartitions that a table may have is 1024K-1.
Lastly you can use SQL*Loader and the import and export utilities to load or unload data stored in partitioned tables. These utilities are all partition and subpartition aware.

Table Maintenance generator is required to do Manual entries in the Table. If the requirement is to update the table only programmatically and not manually then table maint. generator is not required.
Manual entries in table can be maintained ( New record can be inserted / existing can be modified ) using transaction SM 30, if the table maintenance for the table is generated.
How to activate Table maint.
Goto SE11 and open the table.
Click UTILITIES -> Table Maint. Generator, Enter the details and click on Save. Then activate the table.
chk a sample 1.

Change pointer entries not updated in BDCP table

I am using a IDOC to file senario.For message type ISM_MATMAS. In Tcode JP28 when changing Business partner only CDHDR and CDPOS table are getting updated but BDCP table is not getting updated. I have activated CP's for message type in Tcode BD50,
Globally in BD61,
added the field in BD52.
But its not working.
Please let me know if anybody faced such problem ?

Did u saved after the changes in Sm30?
Also is there any maintenance events for this table? If yes check the code in these events. There might be some logic for over writing ur changes.
u can check the events by this path.
SE11=>Table name=>change=>utilities=>Table maintenance generator=>Environment=>Modification=>Events.

Table Maintanance Help Required-urgent

Hi All,
I generating table maintanance generator for the table zuser_Secobjects. In this table GUID is a primary key and APPLN,APPLN_TYPE,PARTNER_TYPE are the non primary keys. I am using two screens method here. on both screens i am not showing GUID ( i am hiding this field in screen1 and screen 2) whenvere new record is created for every record guid is going to create. now my reuirement when i click on position(pushbutton) name in screen 1 it has to show APPLN,APPLN_TYPE,PARTNER_TYPE where as these 4 fields are non primary keys . i am getting uniqire record using guid. so i am keeping guid as primary key.i can't keep these 4 fields as primary keys in the table zuser_secobjects.
anybody can faced this kind of problem if so please let me know whow to approach in this case.
