Custom sort order is not a typical option in the list view of any desktop computing systems I know of. The way you're seeing it work is also how it works in Windows and other systems.
There is no "None" sort order. What you're seeing is a "None" option under "Arrange By." Arranging is not the same as sorting; arranging is how the files are grouped in the window. For example, you can arrange (group) files by Kind while sorting by Name. You'll notice that if you are in List view and you choose Arrange By "None," in the window there is still a sort triangle next to the column name that it's sorting by.
If Arrange is set to None, the files appear in one big group (the traditional view) that is controlled by the Sort order (where there is no None option).
I didn't even know the difference between Sort and Arrange until I saw your question and did a little research! This Macworld article helped:

As for your main question, how to do a custom sort order in the Finder, you can only rearrange files manually in Icon view. As with other operating systems, if you want to create a custom sort order for photos there are other ways:
Use a photo organizer application like iPhoto or Lightroom. Some let you have custom sort orders in folders, but others only let you have a custom sort inside a different container like an "album" or "collection". Having those additional container types is part of why photos are often best managed in an organizer application and not on the desktop.
Rename the files. You can use a renaming utility program to rename the photos with numbers that will enforce your sort order when sorted by name on the desktop, like

You need to select the playlist on the shuffle, when you play it. If you do not select a particular playlist, it plays from the All Songs list. When you set the switch to play in order (not shuffle), the All Songs list plays in alphabetical order.
To select a playlist, use the VoiceOver feature. This document explains how to set up and use VoiceOver.

When you select a playlist on the shuffle, it should play in playlist order (when the switch is set to play in order).

Iam getting error " Order is incomplete- matain the order"

While i doing Co-PA, after creation of Sales order,it was created, then production receipt without production order, after when i am doing the delivery i getting the error in T.Code: VL01N, error is " Order is incomplete-matain the order"
before sales order was created but still getting the same error.

Hi,
In SAP the settings are made such you cannot proceed for further processing keeping a previous document incomplete. The essence of marking a document incomplete is to ensure that all the required data as per the business requirement is provided.
So while creating if you re getting this message means, check the order first. you can see that in incompletion log. Fill in the required details and finally you get a message that order is complete. Now try doing the delivery. You should be through.

Cannot attach documents at order operation level in PM order.

We have recently upgraded to EHP6 and I have activated the EAM business functions including LOG_EAM_CI_6. In my PM work order, on the Additional Data tab, I can see the "Document Assignment" section at the bottom. Here I attach an existing document and choose Assign to Order. Then I attach another existing document and choose Assign to Operation (0010). After saving the order if I go back into it (IW32/IW33). the document assigned to order header is still there but the document attached to the operation disappears.
I have defined the document type that I am assigning at header level and operation level in Customizing for Cross-Application Components under Document Management --> Control Data --> Define Document Types. I have also specified in Customizing that the assignment to objects PMAUFK (order) and/or PMAFVC (operation) is allowed for the document type of those documents.
Can someone please advise what's wrong here ? I have to attach/assign docs to operations.

Can you please make sure two things:
1) IMG --> DMS --> Control Data --> Define Document Types --> Select Doc Type ---> Define Object Links. It must be something similar to this one. Without entering CREATE DOCUMENT settings, you may not be allowed to attach a document. That might be causing the issue. If you do not want from within IW31, someone is creating documents then make sure this setting has value =2.
One more possible reason for this is 1:n field in this same setting. If 1:n is not selected, please read the help for that field and make sure the uniqueness of your document attachment to objects.
2) IMG --> DMS --> Control Data --> Maintain Screen for Object Link
For this one make sure that you have a screen entry for PMAUFK and PMAFVC.
Now if attachment does not work, try creating a document and let us know what is the error message.
And do you know that there is another way of attaching documents to the operation which is attaching them as PRT. Just select the operation, click on PRT button and select document and attach it.

I have following problem:
After the MRP a production order was created for a sales order. Because of the production in another plant
the production order which was created automatically had to be technically completed and a new one
created.
If you want to check now the availability, the sales order finds nothing, because it's linked to the one,
which was technically completed. Now is the question how can I change the production order for this
sales order. (In the production order the correct sales order is connected!)
As I found out it's connected to the field AUFNR in the table VBEP. But how can I change this

Back order rescheduling based on the order date

Presently, the back order scheduling is based on the order numbers (A-Z) TO customers.
We want it to be by Order date sequence oldest to newest.
How can I achieve this?

In the selection screen of V_V2, you can see what you can sort the orders by;
- Date of creation
- Delivery date of earliest schedule line
If this is the date you want, you can choose these as the number 1 priority.

Ordering Characteristic Values in the order that you restrict them

Hi SAP Network,
I have created a BEx query and used up the 2 structures in the Rows area.
I have then placed a characteristic in the columns area and restricted the characteristic .
This characteristic in essence acts like a third structure.
The ordering of the characteristic values when the query is executed is by alphabetical order.
Are you aware if it is possible to have the same order displayed, as to which you drag the characteristic values onto the characteristic, ie. in the order that you choose.

Hi there,
No it is not possible to make the characteristics sort by the order in which you restricted them.
One weay you could achieve this is by having a sequence navigational attribute (example values: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 etc) and in the sorting of your characteristic use sort by attribute.

My Paypal order was canceled due to verification issue and my Paypal account was not charged. However, the
Paypal transaction has not yet been captured by Bestbuy and it remains "pending authorization"
My payment sent to Bestbuy's Paypal account has not been declined/rejected, so it is still pending in Paypal. Paypal cannot refund me until Bestbuy declines the paypal payment. The customer service reps do not understand this process and constantly feed me canned response about automated refunds. Hi guys
we are developing the form. there we are collecting the Operations, frequency, Remarks etc for preventive maintenance orders (from Maint plans). We are taking the printout from IW3D.
Now the thing is everything i have acheived except frequency. I have collected the operations from VIAUFK_AFVC, WARPL and call no (But no Package no here). Then if iam putting into MHIS table i could get the package no. Again if we are inputting the same into T351X we will get the short text of stratagy frequency.
My doubt is the order has so many operations , how could we link the which operations and which package..any link table is there..

I am really sorry, i am just not able to comprehend what you are referring to. Could you be a little bit more clear? If you are looking to identify the Frequencies/packages which have caused the operation to be added to the Order, the tables that i have listed out should help you to identify the same Programmatically.
From the Order you can get the Group and task list number. From PLPO and PLWP , you could get a list of all the operation numbers and the packages at which they are due for the task list number. Using the keys from this table, you could identify the equivalent operation number in the Order(The operation number might not have changed between Task list and Order, if you havent re-numbered them).

My requirement is to send Email with attachment in the same order as they were attached by Sender while composing the mail. I want to preserve order of attachment in the mail and when receiver open a mail, the attached files should be reflected in same order as it was on sender side. In my application,the documents being upload are already in my database. So, user just requires to mark the corresponding check box and enter the Sequence number for each attachment. When he clicks on "SEND" button, the Source file is first written from database to OS level and then files are attached from source available on OS . The attached file name could be anything. Based on the Sequence number file should be attached and send. My current code works fine,but problem it is that the Sequence number is not preserved in my attachment . However, when I traced the output of FOR Loop by inserting it in a table " temp_trace" I found that the Sequence is preserved in the order that I want. So, I think that uploaded files are written on the Operating system in same order but they are not attached in same order. Below is the sample code that is I am using to attach file in email. Here, the user_sequence is the sequence number entered by user.
