Table longer than a page

How do I get a table longer than a page?
The table itself contains all the information and can be seen when I select a large type of paper (eg Tabloid). But when the page is shorter than the table (eg Letter), instead of seeing the table spread across 2 pages, I can only see part of it (the part that fits in one page).
Can still move the table inside the page, but only see a section of it.

If you want that a table flows from one page to an other one, the "other one" must be available.
I am quite sure that your document is a single page one.
Insert a page break to generate a second page and your table will flow as wished.

Error message "Page header or footer longer than a page"

Hi
Our application call crystal report to generate/display crystal report in PDF format. We have a dev system to test this, all looking good, however when we moved to production server, the attached error message is displayed when running crystal report.
Invoking method GENERATEREPORT returned error Page Header plus Page Footer is too large for the page.
Error in File C:\DOCUME~1\SERV
IC1.LIM\LOCALS1\Temp\temp coq new xxxx.rpt:
Page header or footer longer than a page.
Same report doesnu2019t get this error message if running it from crystal report developer.
Not all crystal reports got this error, but some of reports display strange view in PDF, the content of report are reduced in a paper size like label size, not A4 size. I have checked the default printer on the server, it points to a normal window printer, not a label printer. I have checked all possible settings on production server and compared with dev server, all looks same to me
I suspect the label printing size is used somehow when the report is previewed in pdf format, not normal A4 size although I have selected a normal window printer as a default printer on the window,what else should i check?
Could you please shed some light on this?

I found the issue is from label printer that is setup on the production server. After I removed the label printer from the server, then error message is gone, all report running fine.
This label printer is not the default window printer, it is a network printer but is configured as a printer using local port on the server.
I think for some reasons, crystal report alway picks up the label printer page size, not the normla page size, I am not sure why and how crystal report do this, it should pick up the default printer, which is a normal printer.
There is no error when I run report within CR. The error happens only when I try to generate crystal report from our application.
I do have logo in page header/footer, subreports in report footer, but I don't think they cause the problem, because I can run same report without any problem in dev system.
Any idea what I should check next?

Page content disappearing when longer than 1 page

When creating a Welcome page or About Me page in iWeb 08, all page content completely disappears if it is longer than one page and I scroll to the second page.
The outline of the text box still appears to be visible, but none of the text displays inside of it. Also, the rest of the graphics/content for the page disappear as well. The only thing left is the background and the outline of the text box that I was previously typing in.
This makes it impossible to create a page that is any longer than one screen length on my machine. Anyone else see this issue or a fix for it?
Currently using a shiny new 2.4Ghz iMac and just started with iLife 08 today.

The problem isn't the actual page length of the page. The problem is with the rendering of it within iWeb. Once the page is published all of the content shows up in a browser as it should.
The problem occurs within iWeb itself when trying to edit and add content to a page. Once I do any scrolling on a page within iWeb all of the content of the page completely disappears. I am copying and pasting into a new, Pages document (from the word processing menu), and I paste in text that is longer than one page, it doesn't continue onto the next page. I can't see the end. How do I get it to show everything I paste in?

I want to copy an extensive amount of text from a web page into a Pages word processing document, but it seems to chop it up into text boxes, some of which aren't long enough to show all of the lines of text. I can't get hold of a bottom edge of the boxes to drag them to make them longer. I tried several times starting over with a new, blank page (and I made sure to choose from the Word Processing part of the dropdown menu, since I read about a similar problem that said not to use the layout menu. It keeps doing the same thing. What do I have to do to get long text pasted to multiple pages, instead of it trying to be all on one page?
In the long run, what I want is to create this as an ePub book. Is there a better way to go about this?

Copying from web pages can include some weird formatting. Instead of Paste, use Paste and Match Style (Edit Menu).

I can't import a Frame document that is longer than 2 pages

I've gradually cut down the size of a 70 page document until I got it to import at 2 pages. Have had this problem with other documents in this project but not to this extent. Usually just had to split into two files. After several attempts, it is not unusual for RH to crash.
The files have had all page numbers removed from cross-references.
There are no unresolved cross-references.

I believe I found the problem. I sometimes "stack" Framemaker tables, meaning their markers run together and aren't separated in any way. I was able to perform the RH import after I "unstacked" these tables.

When I try to print out an E-mail that is longer than one page, part of the 2nd page is truncated. I then have to go to Safari to print out the entire E-mail without part of it being truncated.
When I have multiple E-mail addresses on a single E-mail, how can I send the E-mail so that each recipient only sees his/her name and E-mail address rather than everyone else that the E-mail is addressed to?

Some style rules that Firefox handles well on the screen can cause this problem. Many email sites have a print button which simplifies the message format and removes navigation elements, etc., and Firefox generally handles print-formatted pages better. If your email site doesn't have print-formatted pages or those do not print, a "hack" is to select the text you want to print and then choose the Selection option in the print dialog.
To hide email addresses from recipients, you need to place them in the BCC field. What do you put in the TO field in that case? You can use your own address.

I would say this is because its a sms not a emai, sms has a limit of lettets that can be sent, anything more than 160 letters can not be sent. SMS represents Short Message Service, 3 pages is far from short,,

Your select querry on MARC is not matching with MARC_TY.
The field in the MARC table and MARC_TY should be same.
and also, when you are making select querry on CDPOS table
with all entries.

While printing the smart form output it is giving
error : single table cell is longer than 176 cm
I found the problem , one of the table field is getting more records
Those records are not fitting in the screen , what I will do?

Inside main table i find one loop condition which is printing more data..

the problem is the length is so huge it will probably not fit on a single page...
anyway the smarter way to solve it would be to split the contents of your field into another internal table and put the records of this internal table in different rows of your table
I guess your field is of string type, then you can use function module SO_STRING_TO_TAB to get your contents into SOLI format then it will be easier to output it

i want to add rows Formatted as table headings, table headings are repeated when a table spans more than one page(marked as Red).
Example:

Test Result word document should generate with Table headings(marked as Red) in every pages of the document, but i am not getting as per above example.

i want to generate MS-word report for TestStand after successful testing using MS-word2000.
Test report contains Actual values, Expected values and Pass/Fail status.
In my program i have customized all fields i can able to generate test report which contains Verification engineer name , test mode, test date, start time, end time Actual values, Expected values and Pass/Fail status.etc....
To put all values of test case number, Test step number, Actual values, Expected values and Pass/Fail status in to table for each time, i will
insert a row into table every time values arrives, once the table exceedes its page size it moves to the next page, next page should start with table row header but it start with values of above said parameters.
so i'm not able to repeat table row header for each page.

Can a Table Cell span more than one page?

I'm working with tables in Pages to create a list of literature and important takeaways from each article. Sometimes the important information is more than I can fit on one page. However, Pages doesn't seem to be able to handle splitting cells across multiple pages. Instead, it seems to "push" the overflow text beyond the page, so I can't even see it as I'm typing.
In Word, such situations just cause the table cell to continue on to the next page. But I can't figure out how to do that in Pages. (And I'm a little concerned that there's not a way to handle this.)

The cell in question does split across 2 pages. "Do I need to" do that isn't really the point.
My question was whether Pages can handle splitting a table cell across 2 pages.
Pages can't; Word can.
(I'm trying to switch over for all of my future work into Pages, so there's a learning curve for me. The type of work I'm doing does have cells that split over 2 pages. In Word, it's not a big deal. Unfortunately, in Pages, I need to split the row in order to do the same thing. Which is kind of a pain, since I'm building the table dynamically and may insert rows above, below or between existing rows. In Word, it automatically handles moving the cells across multiple pages - or merging them back if I edit the text or insert/remove rows above.)

Is is possible to split a table so that data can be linked from page to page?
I would like to have a table with formulas on page 2 referencing data from another linked table on page 1 of a Pages document.
I know this used to be possible in Appleworks. In fact I have some old Appleworks docs like this, but when I try to open them in Pages they get scrambled. Any ideas anybody?

Neither of the 2 options suggested quite fit the bill as my document is a text document report with embedded tables, which do need to refer to each other across more than one page, but still needs to be well laid out for printing and easy reading by others. It seems strange that something which was easy to achieve in Appleworks should be impossible in iWorks, since I thought this was meant to be the replacement program after Apple stopped developing Appleworks.
