Table maintance genrator in sm30

hi ,
i had created table called zppecn .... there are 10 field are there and i had genrated table maintance ..
it was working fine in sm30....feild descrption is come correct...
then user wants onther five field i added in it.. and again genrated table maintance... the field descrption is not coming....
NOTE: OTHER 5 FIELDS NOT HAVING DATA ELEMENTS .. ONLY THAT FIELDS DESCRPTION IS NOT COMING ....ITS SHOWING '+' ....
PLEASE GUIDE ME PROPERLY..

hello,
One good thing u can do is GOTO SE80 the function group in whihc u have stored your table maintenance ...... DISPLAY the FG and the open the screen of the table maintenance GOTO to its LAYOUT and then GOTO EDIT mode click on the filed Title and Edit its label to wat ever you want and then save n activate the FG and screen also......
but a disadvantage of this is that this will go once u regenerate ...... so if u regenerate then u need to again do these steps again t get the label
i hope this was very helpful to get a different view of customizing the table main......

Unable to create table maintance generator

Hi all,
I created z table and trying to generate table maintance but it is giving below error.
The maintenance object description has no transportable package
Message no. SV415
Diagnosis
You want to generate the maintenance modules for object ZFI10. The correction system is not active for the package $TMP, to which the corresponding maintenance object description is assigned. The function group assigned for the generation has a package which can be corrected.
System response
The generation is not performed.
Procedure
Either assign the maintenance object description for object ZFI10 to a correctable package, or assign the table for the generation of the maintenance module to a function group with non-correctable packages.
please suggest me how to assign correctable package.

go to se11 utilities
->table Maintaince Genrater
give your function Group name or make new Function group
give maintaince screen one or two
after that click on create
the check it on table contents and create Entries .
or u can check in se80
gice your function group name and check the screen or u can change heding of the field title from here

Table maintanance Generator is used to manually
input values using transaction sm30.The Table Maintenance Generator is used to create table maintenance program to add, modify or delete records in the database table. This can be accessed using transaction SE54 or in SE11 using the menu Utilities->Table Maintenance Generator
follow below steps
go to se11 check table maintanance check box under
attributes tab
utilities-table maintanance Generator->
create function group and assign it under
function group input box.
also assign authorization group default &NC& .
select standard recording routine radio in table
table mainitainence generator to move table
contents to quality and production by assigning
it to request.
select maintaience type as single step.
maintainence screen as system generated numbers
this dialog box appears when you click on create
button
save and activate table

in sm30 previouly showing in header 5 fields description , but now why the new field description is not visible why???

Unable to edit validated field in table maintance

Hi all,
my requirement is to show an warning message on non key field if validation is not correct and edit on the same screen.
solution: I have created an event new-entry in table maintance and tried to validate that field field (email)
form new_entry.
   if table-email na '@'.
   message w001(incorrect email id)
endif.
enfdform.
- In this way it show the warning correctly but i am not able to edit that email field on the same screen.
do i need to validate in chain endchain. If yes how ??
Can anyone suggest the solution with demo code .

Simple set sy-subrc some value after message statement and change message type as 'S' like below.
FORM new_entry.
IF table-email NA '@'.
    MESSAGE s001(incorrect email id). " Message type 'S' to stay in same screen
        sy-subrc = 1. " Set some value other than zero to abort saving
ENDIF.
ENDFORM.                    "new_entry

How to change width of table maintenance screen in sm30

Hi,
I want to change the width of table maintenance screen in sm30 of a view. I am trying to change it through screen painter.
But its giving me error - screen or window limit reached. I want to increase the widht to show all the fields at once.
Is there any way for this?
Also, earlier in table maintenance generator of view, there was one step selected. I changed it to two steps and re-generated the TMG. But again Its showing only one screen in sm30.
Kindly tell me which step I have missed out.

Hi,
The other way to safely handle the modification of tables is through is by programs that can be done with SE38 or SE80.
To insert into database table we use INSERT statement :
1. To insert a single line into a database table, use the following:
INSERT INTO <target> VALUES <wa>.
INSERT <target> FROM <wa>.
2. To insert a several lines into a database table, use the following:
INSERT <target> FROM TABLE <itaba>.
Or even we can use MODIFY statementas this single statement is used to insert as well as update the records of database table.
MODIFY <target> FROM <wa>.
or MODIFY <target> FROM TABLE <itab>.

I m using crm table. I dont know the authorization group for that table as well as function group. May i choose any thing by F4 & then create entries???

Slection date: It is only on e field.(BUDAT).
This field declared using select options satement internally.
U should give range of dates.
