Table monitering in CCMS
Hi,
I created table monitoring in RZ21 using CCMS_GEN_TAB_R method set the
Execute method as background
Startup as immediately after monitoring segment startup
Release as data collection
I has Reset Segment to WARMUP but i am not able to see sub tree in RZ20 table content monitoring
Hello,
are you getting some short dump when the dispatcher try start the method?
You can take a look in ST22.
if the subtree is not there, probably the method is failing to start. You can check also in CCMS selft monitor.
Maybe the notes below can help you:
1136586 CCSM:type mis-match error CCMS_GEN_TAB_R or CCMS_GEN_TAB_G
1159699 SCSM_GEN_TAB_DS_R: RESCANFROMBEGIN parameter doesn't work

Default settings for characteristics in CCM 2.0
Hello All,
We have implemented CCM 2.0 at customer with SRM 5.0. To avoid changing the default settings of the characteristics for every catalog they create I would like to change the defaults. I have changed a few characteristics in table /CCM/C_CHAR but these changes don't seem to reflect in CCM. I also don't see the characteristics they created themselves. I have chekced the following tables in addition:
/CCM/C_CHAR
/CCM/C_CHAR_ALS
/CCM/C_CHAR_ASPT
/CCM/C_CHAR_TXT
/CCM/C_CHR_ALIAS
and
/CCM/C_DTYPE
/CCM/C_DTYPE_HDR
/CCM/C_DTYPE_T
/CCM/C_DTYPE_TXT
/CCM/C_DTYPE_VL
/CCM/C_DTYPE_VLT
Can anybody please help me? They already have 30 procurement catalogs and this will soon be much more.
Thanks,
AntoinetteHello Masa,
Thanks for your reply. I would like to change the values of the characteristics like Sortable. read only, required. list v iew, compare view etc. When a catalog is created it is created with default settings regarding those values which means that for every catalog our customer creates these settings need to be changed and that is a lot of work. What I am trying to achieve is to change the defaults to the requirements of our customer so when a new procurement catalog is created it is created with the correct settings for the characteristics.
We have add the customer characteristics on schema level but these characteristics are not visible in the tables mentioned. And when I change settings in table /CCM/C_CHAR it does not change it in CCM.
Hope you know the solution or maybe otherwise know somebody who can help me!
Thank you,
Antoinette -
Hello,
We want to configure CCMS monitoring for one our systems.
But we don't want to configure CEN using Solution manager.
After searching, I found that every source describes the process for configuring CCMS using CEN.
I know that we can configure CCMS on individual systems also. But I am unable to find the right set of steps for it.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks. To configure CCMS on the single system (not as CEN) Please follow the steps below.
1. Got to RZ20
2. Select "SAP CCMS Monitor Templates"
3. Drill down the MTE which you need to monitor and select that.
like to monitor table space:
SAP CCMS Monitor Templates->Database->Oracle->Space Management-> table space name->used space
4. click on properties
5. assign the autoreaction method which you already copied from CCMS_OnAlert_Email
you would need to provide the info in autoreaction method before assigning it to any MTE like email distribution list, sender user id and releasing this method as autoreaction.
Email distribution list should be created in SBWP in client 000, send user id should also be created in client 000 and email should be configured in client 000 under SCOT transaction for auto reaction method working properly.
Thanks,
Best Regards,

Hi,
I have configured CCMS
Please let me knwo the following information with respect to CCMS
1. Does CCMS occupy space in /usr/sap folder
2. Does CCMS occupy database space
3. CCMs alerts are stoerd in Database or File SystemHello Balaji,
> 1. Does CCMS occupy space in /usr/sap folder
yes.
- in the log directory of the instance: the AL* files
- if sapccm4x is installed: sapccm4x subdirectory in the log directory of the instance
- if sapccmsr for J2EE is installed: /usr/sap/CCMS
- if sapccmsr without J2EE is installed: /usr/sap/tmp/sapccmsr (<x>:\usr\sap\PRFCLOG\sapccmsr on Windows)
> 2. Does CCMS occupy database space
yes.
- several different database tables
> 3. CCMs alerts are stoerd in Database or File System
both.
- in general alerts are held in the shared memory of the instance.
- at shutdwon and each 30 minutes alerts are saved into the ALALERTS file (this is one of the AL* files mentioned above)
- confirmed alerts are saved to the database, table ALALERTDB

Dear all,
We are using CCM 2.0, SRM 5.0 and BW 7.0 all in the same server.
BW is able to fetch data from EBP for reporting.
How do we make it possible for BW to fetch data from CCM too?
Is there any transparent table of CCM which can be mentioned as the data source for BW reporting?
thanx in advance...
AbhishekAbhishek: CCM 3.0 was supposed to have standard BW integration. As it stands, with 2.0 something custom has to be done.
You may find helpful:
- CCM tables: start with /CCM/*.
- view /CCM/V_SUPPL_ITM "Supplier Product (View for BW Extraction)".
- report /CCM/VERIFY_CATALOG: returns various catalog statistics.
Good luck, and update this thread if you make some progress.
Cheers,

Hi ,
can anyone let me know how to update the catalog status in the table /CCM/D_PUB_ST from 'R' to 'E' or from any status to error status.
thanks in advanceHi
Which SRM version are you using ?
Ask ABAP person in your team to help you out.
<u>Please ensure that Client changes are allowed using SCC4 transaction so that ABAP person can reset the flag from 'R' to 'E' in the table /CCM/D_PUB_ST.</u>
<b>Here are the steps -></b>
1. Go to SE16 Transaction and type table name as '/CCM/D_PUB_ST'.
2. then in the status flag field, type 'R' and click on F8 Key. You will see atleast one entry with status 'R' in this case.
3. Double click on this line displayed and get into the details.
4. Type /h in the command box in the left top corner box.
5. Debugging will start here.. Type field name as CODE in the field name.
The value of CODE will show as 'DISP' in this case.
6. Change the value of 'DISP' to 'EDIT' and click on Change Key in the same line at the right hand corner.
7. And then click on F8 Key again. Now change the status from 'R' to 'E' and and then click on Save key.
8. Click on F5 key to refresh.
This will get the job done.
Do let me know.

List of CCM Tables & Function Modules
Dear All,
I was wondering if anybody could let me know CCM tables names catalog content is held. I.e the procurement catalog table.
Also is anybody aware of CCM Function Module(s)one could use to display a given by category?
Regards,Hi Grace,
You can also check these reports in SE38... There are more of them, do a search on /CCM/*
Report Name Description. Attention / additional hints
/CCM/CLEANUP_CATALOG Deletion / Cleanup of catalogs. May be dangerous since all catalogs can be deleted via this report! The report is needed if an upload crashed in order to delete the temp. version of the uploaded catalog.
/CCM/PATCH_CATALOG Needed if data migration was necessary between two support packages in order to migrate the data.
/CCM/VERIFY_CATALOG Prints out a list of the database content of a catalog.
Options on the selection screen for Item valuations, includes deleted objects, views etc.
/CCM/CATALOG_CME_DATA Shows the predefined characteristics / data types
Shows the characteristics / data types of a catalog.
Can be used to check the data (e.g. alias, aspects) of predefined characteristics
/CCM/VISUALIZE_MAPPING Displays the mapping tables for a given catalog ID
/CCM/INITIALIZE_CME Initializes the predefined data types / characteristics. Used to initialize the catalog

CCM 2.0's internal table structure
Hi,
I want to know how CCM stores the catalog content internally (if it stores in a table, then please provide the table name).
Please provide an answer at the earliest.
Thanks,
SwethaI was hunting for same recently. I ran the SQL trace on report /CCM/VERIFY_CATALOG. This report returns all items with field values for a particular catalog.
According to the trace results, the report mainly hits two tables: /CCM/D_VALUE_D, /CCM/D_VALUE_TXT.
Upon a brief look in SE11, these tables don't actually hold field values but rather store a bunch of "cluster" references. Being a non-technical person, I can only guess that this is the closest I can get to item data in the ABAP Dictionary. I'll be happy if someone can prove me wrong

CCM performance problems table info needed!!
Hello,
We have iimpemented SRM50 wit hCCM 200_700 level 6. We have serious performance problems when uploading content and publishing the catalogs. Does anybody know, as we have 29 procurement catalogs, if for all catalogs the entres are entered in the table /CCM/D_ITM.
We have 29 catalogs but only 4000 items so we think the entries are double. How many items and catalogs should CCM be able to handle ?
Thanks of course i will reward points
Kind regards,

CCMS for Table monitoring not using Message Class
We are currently using a Table content monitor in CCMS to raise alerts for an ABAP monitoring program we have written. The program inserts records in a custom ABAP table and when a row is inserted with a certain value we raise an alert through CCMS.
The data collection method is using the "Red" function module SCSM_GEN_TAB_DS_R
The alerts are generating fine but the alert text is displaying <CCMS: no default text available>. We have configure a message class and number but it is not displaying this in alert. Does anyone know what could be the problem?
Here is the parameter settings for the data collection method
1. TARGET_TABLE ZTSPM_CH_STATUS
2. FIELDNAME CHANNELKEY
3. FIELDVALUE CCSTATUS
4. MAXROW 50
5. WHERECLAUSE1 CCSTATUS = 'FAIL'
6. WHERECLAUSE2
7. WHERECLAUSE3
8. TOP_FULL_NAME
9. RESCANFROMBEGIN REPORTTIMESTAMP
10. T100_MESS ZXI_CNB 023
The message class/number (ZXI_CNB 023) is
"Connectivity Heartbeat failed for &1, Status: &2"
I was expexting the values from the table for fieldname (CHANNELKEY) and Fieldvalue (CCSTATUS) to be replaced in the message string.Hey Mark!
I had a question about this topic. I had the problem, that method doesn't work. The following parameters have been set:
1. TARGET_TABLE ZMON_ERROR
2. FIELDNAME EF
3. FIELDVALUE EV
4. MAXROW 50
5. WHERECLAUSE1 EV='AU01'
6. WHERECLAUSE2
7. WHERECLAUSE3
8. TOP_FULL_NAME
9. RESCANFROMBEGIN
10. T100_MESS
Rescanfrombegin and Messageclass have not been set, because I read, that there are many problems.
In Technical Export Monitors under DataSupplier theres an alert:
Internal Error in method SCSM_GEN_TAB_DS_R, Error: SELECT, SY-SUBRC = 0.
I think the problem is the WHERECLAUSE, but it doesn't matter if I change everything. Do you know any solutions, maybe?
