activate the CRM DSs by scenario:
1) Activate the application component hierarchy (tcode RSA9). Changes made to the application component hierarchy in the CRM system can be transferred to the BW using the "Edit Application Component Hierarchy" (SBIW - Postprocessing of DataSources).
SAP Note 434886 must be implemented in CRM 3.0 before the application component hierarchy is activated.
2) Activate the Business Content DataSources (tcode RSA5).
Select/enter the application component and choose Execute (F8).
To compare the shipped and active versions, choose the 'Select Delta' pushbutton. If there is no active version of the DataSource, it is selected automatically.
To activate the shipped version, choose the 'Transfer DataSources' pushbutton.
3) Management of the versions of the BW-Adapter metadata (tcode BWA5). All DataSources are displayed that are managed by the BW Adapter.
As in transaction RSA5 (Service API Metadata Activation), the 'Select Delta' function can be used to select the inactive DataSources or compare shipped and active versions.
You can also go directly to the screen for maintaining DataSources that are managed by the BW Adapter.
The 'Compare Version' function makes a detailed comparison of the shipped and active versions.
All BW-Adapter metadata is considered when versions are compared:
Header information (Table SMOXHEAD)
Mapping information (Table SMOXRELP)
Global selection conditions (Table SMOXGSEL)
Attribute key fields (Table SMOXAFLD)

You can get all partners and their type in table EDPP1, depending of the partner type you need to go to specific table for address and other details, like for partner type KU(customer) goto KNA1,etc for partner type LI(vendor) goto LFA1 etc for partner type B(bank) goto BNKA etc ....

actually my client want to change the payment term for all the vendor invoices.so wt we did is... we created aprogram to change the old payment term to new payment term in the vendor line items(fbl1n).
when we run the program its changing the payment term and the base line date and the NO of days in the vendor linitems.but it not changing the net due date based on the new baseline date.
i think with out changing the net due date only changing the payment term is use less.coz the item again show as due in the same date.
so how can we change the net due date based on the new baseline date.?from which table we can take the field FAED and update with the new date.
plz advise me?

    How can I know the table for a screen-field if i get structure from it F1 Technical settings....
Ex: Here MUEBS is the screen field (Char. Display) in one of the subscreens of VA41. And it is from
      RV45A structure...

How to find out table name for the field in the webUI

Hi.
I am in CRM2007.
So i go to the transaction code BSP_WD_CMPWB
In that i provide the component name as CRM_UI_FRAME.
I press the Test button.
So, it opend the WebUI.
I want how to find out table of the particular input field?
I mean from which table the data is retrived how to find out?
When i enter some thing in the input field how to find out in which table that data is stored?
By pressing F2 on the input field it opend View and Component Name.
I want find out table of that particular field. How to find it?
If anybody know about this explain it with Screen shorts if possible.

hi
goto tx genil_model_browser. Suppose you want to find fields reated to your order header eg sold to name. In component set write all and press F8. Then goto access object and in access object click on node BTAdminH. Click on attribute structure. Here you will find structure and attributes. If you click relationship then you will see all the relationship wrt btadminh. open any r/s that you require. and click on other object and attribute. You will get to know the structure.

In general every infotype will have corresponding Table like for Org Assignment infotype 0001, the table is PA0001.

I want the table names for these fields

Customer ID.
     Material Number
     Cross company Purchase Order.
     Delivery date (requested by the company who is placing the purchase order).
     Qty requested.
     Value of the Qty requested     (Value of the Qty requested = Qty requested * Material unit price )
     Currency
     Total pieces shipped (during the time frame set on the report)
     Balance Left ( Balance Left = Qty Requested - Total pieces shipped)
     Value of the balance left      Value of the balance left = Balance left * Unit price only if the Balance left is greater than cero,
                    if the balance left is lower than or equals cero, the value of the balance left show be cero.
     % Delivery      (% Delivery = Total pieces shipped / Qty requested).

Look to SE84 under   ABAP Dictionary > Fields > Table Fields   - This is search tool for existing names. Or can create custom Y-   and Z- fields, data elements, domains to meet your needs.

Tracking source system table name for a field in ODS

Hi Guys,
I know this is pretty simple for many of you, Being a newbie, pls clarify for me :
Consider field1 in ODS1. I want to know the database table which is updating that field. From transfer rules i can see which is the source system filed name but from which table that is coming???

You can find the name of the data source if you right click on the ODS and click on Show Data Flow -- > You will be able to see the flow and get the data source name.
Once you have the data source name , go to transaction RSO2 and see if the data source is based on a table or view or FM ..once you have this info you can analyze the table or the FM to find the source table and field..

the table behind structure INVFO is RBKP (Header level).
For item level you have table RSEG.
These tables refer to MM.
Once the MM documents are completed and you post the corresponding invoice RBKP data goes to BKPF and RSEG data goes to BSEG data.
The relattion between MM(RBKP/RSEG) and FI(BKPF/BSEG) documents is in field BKPF-AWKEY. This field usually contains (RBKP-BELNRRBKP-GJAHR that is MM documentMM year).
e.g. (BKPF-AWKEY = 51056024412009)

The picked quantity is used in the structure LIPS, field PIKMG. It doesnu2019t belong to any transparent table.
this issue was been discussed in the abaper forum :
